Chapter 211: Grec’s Status

A few minutes ago...

After giving the brothers some space to talk, Dhruv moved toward a silent area. Sitting on the chair he had just created; he began to ponder about the things he had expected to happen after the creation of the fourth guardian.

’So nothing happened to the dungeon or even in the dungeon after I merged the stone with him...’ Dhruv thought.

Before the fusion, he had guessed that, at a minimum, there might be some disturbance in the dungeon, and of course, in the maximum scenario, the whole dungeon would just shut down or even the fusion wouldn’t happen.

But to his surprise, absolutely nothing happened...

’Well, if I see it from other angles, there hasn’t been any chance to get a reaction from the dungeon. The core had once again fused with its rightful owner and could be as seen as if this whole thing hadn’t happened...’ Dhruv was satisfied with this conclusion.

’...Now all I have to see is what happens if Grec were to leave the dungeon,’ Dhruv thought as he began to note what he found in his notebook.

He didn’t know when, but somewhere along the line, he picked up the habit of writing every question he might have, every answer he found, or anything else important in his notebook.

After writing everything, he quickly dropped it into his ring. Taking a deep breath he began to think what to do next.

’Let’s see his status...’ With this thought in his mind, he delved into the Mark to check Grec’s status, while he was there he suddenly felt something.

’Who was that...’ Dhruv thought as he found that someone was trying to forcefully do something through the mark. A second worth of observation gave him the information he needed. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

’So, Grec is accessing everyone’s status through the mark... is he just trying, or is he really attempting to steal everyone’s coins? Well, this might be problematic,’ Dhruv thought as he watched Grec’s mana wandering here and there in the Mark.

Not knowing what to do he simply turned his head and focused on the conversation others were having.

From the little sound he could pick up, Dhruv found that Vexat and Grec had bet that Grec could never guess the name of the Death Lord. If he hadn’t seen the thing he just witnessed, even he would’ve thought that this bet was one-sided.

Even now the bet was one-sided; just the side had changed. After a moment he found which side had won.

’As expected, Grec won the bet...’ Dhruv had the same conclusion as Vexar and already considered Grec as the winner of the bet.

’Poor demon... let me save you...’ With this thought in his mind, he was about to intervene and save the demon from giving up his sword. Before he could do that, there was someone who had already intervened.

’Ohhh! Alaric for the save...’ Dhruv thought as he observed how Alaric saved Vexar from that greedy goblin.

"Let me warn him... or else he will continue to do that..." With the conclusion that this much power is not good in Grec’s hands, he quickly thought of warning the guy.

"Grec, don’t try to use the Mark for anything except communication or to know the location of others," Dhruv warned while looking toward the trio.

After saying this, he observed as Grec’s smiling face turned for the worse. Bowing his head, the green goblin quickly apologized, "Sorry about that, master..."

Feeling slightly sorry for the goblin, he quickly remarked, "Well, that was impressive, but don’t do that again."

After noticing that there was nothing interesting happening among them, Dhruv refocused on his task...

’Where was I... Ohh! Yes, I was about to check Grec’s status...’ Remembering what he was about to do.

Quickly accessed the Mark and took a peek at the goblin’s status. Within seconds, Grec’s status was displayed in front of Dhruv...

’Shit...’ Dhruv cursed as he read one particular section of Grec’s status.

’Why do I have to make him a physical type monster when he has Space as an affinity... I should’ve checked his core before doing the fusion.’ Dhruv couldn’t help but curse himself once again.

After seeing space as one of Grec’s affinities, many of his questions were also answered.

The first one was that... the one who had stopped them from exiting the dungeon by blocking the space in front of the portal was none other than Grec... well, not Grec but his past self.

Dhruv also got the answer to which affinity had violet color mana. The spell from this affinity had also been used against him. The more he remembered, the more disappointed he was getting...

’Well, it’s not like I can travel back in time to fix this...’ Dhruv sighed as he guessed that because he had gone to see Olivia, he got distracted and forgot to keep everything in his mind.

One saving grace was that Grec’s affinity with space magic was very low, and even during the fight, he only showed two spells he knew of.

’There is no point in regretting about it now...’ Thinking this, he was about to continue reading the status but stopped as something disturbed him once again.

Bommmm!

Hearing this, Dhruv instantly turned his head to see what was going on. He sighed as he found that they were only dueling and nothing else. Even after knowing that they were only dueling, Dhruv wasn’t satisfied.

Quickly connecting with Alaric, he suggested keeping an eye on them so they wouldn’t seriously injure each other.

[On it, master..] Dhruv found Alaric’s reply somewhat exhausting.

’Well, looks like his task has increased all of a sudden...’ Dhruv thought as he could almost pity the Shadow Lord.

Having dealt with their problem Dhruv once again focused on the screen in front of him.
