Chapter 205: Olivia’s Evolution
Olivia didn’t pay that much attention to the notification and instead began to inspect her healed hand. She wasn’t surprised a single bit that she was naked here... after all, she knew that this was going to be the case. And the other thing was that there wasn’t another soul beside her in the entire realm.
’Is this the realm everyone was talking about, or am I in some kind of dream..’ She couldn’t help but question the reality she was observing.
’Well, that shit was too painful to be real as well...’ She thought as she compared the feeling she felt when her hand was melted and the feeling she is getting now.
’Even if this is a dream, this place sure is peaceful even after being made out of swords.’ She took a heavy sigh.
Waving her hand around she began to walk around the realm aimlessly. After an unknown period of time, she finally sat on a chair made out of a sword.
She didn’t know, or she didn’t care, but whatever she was thinking was getting created in real-time... the only problem was that the material used to create that was always going to be a sword.
Looking at the thundering sky, she took a deep breath and opened her status screen. Determined to finish her evolution this time she began to read her options...
[The evolution options available to you are as follows:
1- Advanced Swordmaster (Uncommon)
2- Lesser Blademaster (Uncommon)
3- Duelist Maestro (Special)
4- Elemental Swordmage (Special)
5- Stormblade Warden (Special)
6- Novice Asteri Swordsman (Special)]
[Note: All the above evolutions are for the species Asteri.]
’So, I have 2 Uncommon and 4 Special Evolution options, uhh! Not bad... Not bad at all.’ Thinking this, she clicked on Advanced Swordmaster to check its description.
[Advanced Swordmaster (Uncommon): The next evolution line of your current evolution, nothing sort of special but better than most out there...]
Knowing that this was her next evolution, she ignored the description and moved on to check the skill of this evolution.
[The Skill <Circular Slash>, <Cross-Block Counter>, and <Precision Thrusts> will be provided with a bonus of 15 in both agility and strength.]
’Three better than basic skills and a total of 30 stat increase... good but nothing special.’ Without any second thought, she skipped this evolution and went for the evolution second on the list.
Lesser Blademaster was almost the same as Advanced Swordmaster, the only difference being that the weapon would be changed from a sword to that of a blade.
After this much practice with a sword, she had no plans to change her weapon. It wasn’t mentioned that she had to change the weapon entirely but it was preferable to use a blade if one wanted to use the full potential of this class.
With a smile and anticipation in her mind, she clicked on the third and the first special evolution options of hers.
[Duelist Maestro (Special): Duelist Maestros are flamboyant and charismatic swordmasters who treat combat as an art form. ’This certainly is a special option... wait, what would happen if a monster fell in love with me... Ughhh! It certainly wouldn’t be like Beauty and the Beast type shit.’ Just after seeing the description of the option, she knows that she has begun to traverse some high-level options.
[The Skill <Flourish of Blades>, <Aerial Elegance>, and <Graceful Parry> will be provided with a bonus of 20 in vitality and 10 in both agility and strength.]
’...These things sound more like circus tricks than real battle skills.’ She couldn’t help but have this thought as she read the names of the skills.
Before making her final judgment, she clicks on each skill to check its description.

’Well, looks like I wasn’t wrong entirely..’ Olivia thought as she closed the skill description windows.
Keeping this evolution option at the back of her mind, she clicked on the next evolution option.
[Elemental Swordmage (Special): Masters of both swordplay and elemental magic, Elemental Swordmages channel the power of fire, ice, lightning, or any such element through their swords. They can enchant their swords with magical properties, delivering devastating elemental strikes in combat.
Fire affinity (E) and Ice affinity (E) will be given as free as a reward with this evolution.]
The Skill <Inferno Slash>, <Glacial Parry>, and <Static Surge> will be provided with a bonus of 20 in Magic Power 10 in both agility and strength.
’Slightly on the mage side but not bad... not bad at all...’ Olivia thought as she looked at the description of this evolution.
’I will get two affinities for free... both of them are at rank D which is more than my own affinity at least. These skills look fine as well..’ Olivia thought as she read the description of the skills.
The only problem she had with this evolution option is that her magic power stat is low... calling it low is almost like praising it because after getting 20 from here her magic power will reach the 27th mark.
Even that 6 stat increase was because she had heard that after increasing it to 10 one could get the mage class. But while she was increasing it she fell in love with swords and forgot about magic power midway.
She knew that after becoming a monster and forming a core she would naturally get a certain amount of mana, but she wasn’t going to bet her strength on that.
Sigh!... Taking a deep sigh, she closed the window and clicked on the second last evolution option.
