Chapter 192: A Realm Without Any Dimensions

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!....

With a loud sound, the goblins collided with the shield as it tried to enter within it and rip the unknown in front of them.

’So, almost all of them are at tier 3. What should we do? I mean, we can fight, or we can escape from here...’ he wanted to think about this clearly, so he didn’t make any mistakes, but unfortunately, this wasn’t exactly the place where he could think peacefully.

Rooooar! Roaaaar!

’Let’s not decide it here.’ Dhruv quickly comes to a conclusion. He had come to this conclusion within three seconds.

Turning toward Alaric, Dhruv answered, "Let’s retreat for now."

Hearing his master’s words, Alaric nodded and began to move toward the portal. The moment they tried to enter it, a realization hit them.

’We can’t enter...’ Dhruv exclaimed as a frown appeared on his face.

"Is it that we can’t exit from a portal without defeating its boss?" This was the very first question that came to his mind.

It didn’t take him long to dismiss this idea because if this were really to be the case, then they wouldn’t be able to travel back and forth on the first floor. And because they were able to it means that there isn’t any rule like that... or the rule here is different.

Once again Dhurv would have to think clearly to come to any clear conclusion which he can’t... not in this situation at least.

"Something is wrong here... Maybe this is the result of some type of spell," Dhruv voiced his opinion as he looked at the trio. This was the most probable reason he could think.

"Looks like we don’t have any other option besides fighting," Vexar added with a smirk on his face.

"Well, you are not wrong this time..."

Dhruv and Alaric both agreed with Vexar’s words this time. Having no other option, Dhruv began to think of a plan that could help them at least establish a foothold here before starting the fight.

"Look, after I enhance my ..... Okay," Dhruv told his plan to the others.

Both of them nodded and began to get ready to follow their part of the plan. It took Dhruv exactly ten seconds to prepare the spell. After readying the spell, he looked at the duo and winked.

Getting the signal, Alaric quickly removed the shield. After removing the shield he didn’t do anything and just dove down into the shadow. Alaric had brought Vexar along with him in the shadow.

The moment the shield got removed, all the goblins who were stopped by it began to sprint toward the single target that was left. Looking at the monsters running towards him, a smirk appeared on Dhruv’s face.

"Not now.... Not now.... Now."

When he noticed that the monster had reached the optimal location, Dhruv cast the spell he had readied.

Woooshh! Woooshh! Woooshh! Woooshh!....

Within a second, multiple metal blades began to fly out in all directions.

The spell Dhruv had just used is the enhanced version of the spell Serrated Blades. This was one of the spells he had learned during the first day of the second quest.

Due to the spell being enhanced, the speed at which every blade flew was much, much more powerful than its initial version. Even in its initial version, the spell was quite potent, and from this, anyone can guess what would happen if it got enhanced further.

[You have killed the monster ... ]

[You have killed the monster ... ]

[You have killed the monster ... ]

[.....]

Soon enough, the notification of the monster killed by the blade began to sound in his head. Dhruv observed as each blade had the power to tear through the strong defense of their armor and then their body.

But... but that was all; each blade was only barely able to kill one monster and soon enough it died down.

Roar!! Roar!! Roar!! Roar!!...

The goblins who were just behind the first row roared as they looked at the corpse in front of them. At tier 3, they had gained enough sense to know who their friend was and who their foe was.

Roaring once more, they leaped toward Dhruv. Looking at the monster which was just seconds away from him, Dhruv showed no reaction apart from his signature creepy smile.

When the monster was just 5 meters away from Dhruv, a tentacle made out of shadow began to appear from his shadow. As if the tentacle had a purpose it didn’t hesitate and gripped Dhruv’s feet.

After gripping it as tightly as possible, the tentacle began to drag him into the realm of the shadow.

"See you, fuckers..." Dhruv shouted as he showed them his middle finger.

Moments after saying these words, he was fully dragged into the realm of the shadow. Before entering this realm Dhruv had closed his eyes so he didn’t know anything.

Everything was okay for a few seconds, but... but it changed quickly as for some weird reason, Dhruv felt as if something was touching him. At first, he ignored it thinking that this had randomly happened.

But even after a few seconds, when the feeling didn’t go away, Dhruv began to slowly get frustrated by it. Finally, he decided to see what it was that was touching him with this much passion.

After taking a deep breath Dhruv opened his eyes, and the thing he saw was... shadow, infinite shadow. It was so dark there that he couldn’t even make sense of the dimensions.

All the things he was seeing appeared in 2D. Seconds after opening his eyes, his brain began to throb with pain as veins began to pop out. Remembering Alaric’s warning, ’Not to try to observe anything there for too long,’ he quickly closed his eyes.

’What the fuck was that...’ Dhruv thought as drops of sweat began to pop out on his scalp.

Before he could ponder over this, the feeling that something was touching him appeared once again...

’Who the fuck is that...’ Dhruv cursed.

’Alaric had warned me to not see for too long right... let’s take a peek with mana sense...’ Dhruv couldn’t suppress his curiosity as this thought appeared in his head.

"Three... two... one..." Dhruv whispers as he opens his eyes once again...

The thing he saw was... Darkness... nothing but darkness once again. There wasn’t an ounce of mana in the realm of shadow.
