Chapter 191: Entering The Third Floor
"Master, I’m really sorry about that...," a voice rang in the surroundings.
"Vexar, I get it. While sleeping more than they are supposed to be. It’s not a big deal cut it," Dhruv replied to the same thing for the fifth time as he looked at the demon beside him.
"Master, are you sure you are not mad at me?" Although he changed the structure of the sentence, he was saying the same thing once again.
"I can’t guarantee it if you continue to ask the same thing," Dhruv stated as he began to get irritated by the same question over and over again.
"By your will, master." After saying these words, Vexar closed his mouth and began to follow Dhruv.
For the rest of the journey, all three of them were silent. They were quiet outwardly, but everyone was brewing something deep inside them.
’How will the scenario of the third floor be... what should I do if I encounter a monster I can’t defeat? Of course, I would sacrifice myself like a hero... Ugggg! What am I thinking? Of course, I will flee and then attack it with all of our combined strength.’ All types of scenarios were born in Dhruv’s mind. Sometimes he agrees with it, sometimes he doesn’t, but the cycle continues.
’Will I be useful in this fight? I don’t think so. Master is already this strong; at this point, we are nothing but a burden on him. Sigh! I should upgrade my magic as soon as possible,’ Alaric thought while being under Dhruv’s shadows.
’Slash it... that goblin was nice to kill... hope I will find another one like that My fire is getting stronger, why is that...’ Vexar was lost in his thoughts as well.
Not before long, they reached the portal and entered it without any second thought. In just a second, they traveled between realms and now they are in the realm of greenery.
This wasn’t their destiny, and they had to do it two more times. After walking for another ten minutes, they reached the first-floor portal. Entering it, they appeared on the second floor.
This time, Alaric took the command and began to lead the group. He had already marked the location on his map; thus, the trio was able to take the shortest routes possible between these two points.
After just eight minutes of travel, the group was able to reach the location. As Alaric had described, there was a massive tree in front of them.
From a single glance, Dhruv was able to judge that the tree was very old and weak. He was sure that the tree wouldn’t even survive an enhanced Metal bullet.
Retracting his focus from the entire tree, he began to observe the hole which was at the very bottom. The hole was big enough to fit two people side by side.
They didn’t know how deep it was because it was just a few centimeters away from the entrance of the portal.
As Dhruv was observing the portal, he was quickly able to notice the two holes around the portal.
’So, only two this time.’ Dhruv thought as he began to move toward the portal.
Stopping a few centimeters away from the portal, Dhruv brought out two of the dungeon cores.
He didn’t immediately place the core in its hole and instead moved his empty hand toward the portal. As expected, his hand was blocked by something magical.
Sigh!
Taking a deep breath, Dhruv looked at the cores for the last time. Without delaying the inevitable, he began to move them toward the hole of the portal.
Woosh!
Once again, the attraction happened, and the core flew out of Dhruv’s hand into the hole. He didn’t mind it this time and put the second core in its hole as well.
What happened afterward was something Dhruv had already experienced once, so this time he was cautious enough to close his eyes prior to it happening.
As suspected, the area around the portal began to illuminate with blinding lights, and a few seconds later, something broke with a cracking sound.
Dhruv knew that this sound was an indication that the process had finished, and he could open his eyes. Looking at the portal, which was exactly the same as the one before placing the core, Dhruv moved forward.
Before Alaric could appear and stop his master from entering uncharted territory, Dhruv was already gone from here. Without wasting even a moment, Alaric and Vexar enter the portal.
The moment they put their bodies inside the portal, their minds went blank. This wasn’t something new, so they weren’t surprised by this. After being in this state for five seconds, they finally regained their senses.
The moment they appeared on the other side of the portal, they instantly assumed a fighting stance.
’What the fuck is this,’ Dhruv thought as he looked at the scene in front of him.
The very first reason for their shock is that instead of appearing in the forest, this time they directly appeared in the middle of the village. Even the houses in the village were more advanced than the ones on the upper floor.
And the second one was that this time they weren’t the only ones who were ready... No, in front of them was an army of goblins.
Every single one of them was equipped with armor and weapons as well. All the caste Dhruv had seen on the upper floor is present here.
Looking at them, Dhruv at least had one of his questions answered. But the real problem was what good that answer would do him at this moment.
Alaric was the first to respond as he quickly created a shield around them. The shield was going to be very useful as the monsters were already sprinting toward them.
"Master, what should we do? Should we fight them head-on, or should we retreat?" Alaric presented all the options they had left at this point.
Before answering the question, Dhruv activated his mana sense. The moment he activated it, his entire POV got filled with little shiny stones.
’So, almost all of them are in tier 3.’
