Chapter 185: Conscious Glasses

"My lord, the dinner is ready. Everyone waiting for your presence," The sound of a little boy came from his house door.

’What an hour has already passed.’ Dhruv thought as he couldn’t believe that he was so engrossed in the experiment that he had miscalculated the flow of time. For him only half an hour had been passed.

"Okay, give me five minutes," Dhruv replied.

After a few moment of silence he understood that the boy had left. Clearing his heaf he once again focused his gaze at the screen on which the essence point was mentioned. But to his disappointment, the screen had already disappeared.

’Fuck!!’ While cursing the timing, he once again sent his mana to the glasses. The moment after doing this, a screen popped up in front of him,

[Species: Lesser Acid Slime]

’I guess I won’t be getting the right thing anytime soon.’ While having a bad felling he quickly comes this conclusion. This time he was calm enough to note species of the slime in his notebook.

Fortunately, the slime was still alive, so he could check its status once again for the second time. Sending his mana to the glasses, he looked at the screen in front of himself.

[Tier: Ⅰ]

Once again...

[Skill: Acid Regeneration Lv. 2, Rapid Eating Lv. 3, Strong Acid Lv. 1, Limited Immortality Lv. 1]

Dhruv Once again began to write the skill of the slime in his notebook. While writing he reached the last skill of the monster,

’Limited, hmm! Immortality...Done!! Immortality.. Is that the last one...’ While thinking this, Dhruv suddenly realized something.

With a shocked face, he looked at the screen in front of him for the second time. He quickly found that he wasn’t seeing things.

’What the hell... why the fuck this slime has a skill like immortality.... It is limited, but isn’t this still insane? And even with these skills, these fuckers die like an ant... I mean how does this shit exactly work.’ A frown appeared on his face as he thought of this.

Dhruv was once again frustrated that he couldn’t interact with the skill of the other monster’s status. The monster didn’t have a core either, so he couldn’t get to see its status after killing it as well.

’What if I feed... a core to this one, will it be able to form a core then...’ An idea formed in Dhruv’s mind, but for the moment he put it aside and continued to look for the essence point section to pop up.

[Name: N/A]

’Not this... fourth is my lucky number. This time haaaa!’

[Tier: Ⅰ]

’Nope...Not the tier one, give me the one with a point in it. If i get what i want then five will be my lucky number from now on...’

[Skill point: 0]

’Fuck you glass...’ He couldn’t help but give a middle finger to the glasses for trolling him... of course, he was doing all this in his mind while kepping a smile on his face.

’Please RNG gods, shower me with your blessings.. And let me witness that holy section once again.’ Dhruv thought as he sent his mana to the glasses once again.

[Mutation: Acid Layered Skin +1, Big Stomach +1, Better digestion +1]

’Good, but I don’t need this one.’

[Skill point: 0]

’.....’

[Tier: Ⅰ]

’...’

[Skill: Acid Regeneration Lv. 2, Rapid eating Lv. 3, Strong Acid Lv. 1, Limited Immortality Lv. 1]

’..... fuck’

[Name: N/A]

Even after two or three minutes of constant searching, Dhruv wasn’t able to find the right thing. He was about to give up when, like a beacon of hope, a screen popped up in front of him.

[Mutation: Acid Layered Skin +3, Big Stomach +1, Better digestion +1]

Because Dhruv had already noted the mutation in his notebook, he was about to skip this one again... but after noticing something, he stopped at the last moment.

’Is the Acid Layered Skin had gone from +1 to +3. Am I seeing things or this is it.’ Dhruv thought. He clearly remembered that the last time he had seen the mutation section, the acid layered skin had only +1.

After cross-checking it with the notebook, Dhruv found out that he was indeed right. And between his search for the essence point section, the slime had upgraded its Acid Layered Skin from +1 to +3.

If the slime had zero essence points to begin with, then it clearly means that the monster had gained some essence after fusing with the meat.

After closing the screen, Dhruv was about to write the experiment as a success.

But before he could do that, he instinctively sent his mana into the glass once again. After sending the mana, one of the slime’s status sections got displayed in front of him.

[Essence point: 6]

"..."

With his eyes wide open, Dhruv just calmly stared at the screen for a few seconds.

’Nobody can convince me now that this shit for glasses didn’t have his own consciousness.’ Dhruv thought as he quickly removed the glasses from his eyes and placed them inside the ring once again.

Sigh!!

After succeeding in his experiment Dhurv heaved a sigh of relief. While writing it in the notebook he could feel a load of weight come down from his shoulders.

’So the command ’Add the meat essence with the slime’ is the key.’ With a smile on his face, he remembered the command that he had given to that last orb.

Dhruv hadn’t just thought of this command randomly. No... it was the product of careful thinking.

When he was writing the last four command Dhruv had remembered something. After careful consideration, Dhruv made a crucial decision to alter his last command.

Instead of just directly fusing with meat, he specified it as "Meat Essence" in the latest command.

Several factors had influenced this choice, with the most crucial one being rather comical— His inability to poop.

Yes, it may sound strange... because it was, but this strange detail held a very significance in his deciding the command.

The underlying idea was straightforward: if Dhruv could consume food without the need to excrete, then it indicated two things.

Either he has the ability to convert every single thing he eats into energy or the the food he was eating is so good that there are no byproducts in it.

Dhruv was quickly able to dismiss the former one after noticing that when he was relying on food from the cans, he needed to go to the bathroom. Not that much, but it wasn’t zero either.

Consequently, he figured out that monsters or beasts served as an extraordinary energy source, so efficient that there were no waste products in them.

Having found this point, Dhruv was quickly able to conclude that monsters were essentially a bag of essence, varying in quantity from one to another.

After considering all of this, Dhruv was quickly able to modify the command, and now that he was seeing the result, he found that he was indeed right.

Before he could write all of this in his notebook he heard something...

Knock! Knock!
