Chapter 129: The arrival of Third Quest

It has been seven days since the start of the second quest. Everything was going smoothly on the island. The process of clearing the ruins of the prison had been a priority, and everyone had busied themselves with the work.

The training of the newcomers had also gone smoothly, thanks to their own willingness; they were so eager to learn, and that had made Thala’s and Dhruv’s work so much easier.

Dhruv hadn’t mentioned anything about Mark to them as of the moment and was trying his hardest to find the perfect moment to do that, without appearing desperate.

Dhruv wasn’t just leisurely enjoying his time either; No... he was also practicing and advancing in his spellcasting. At the moment, he had focused himself on trying to make the existing spells much stronger than they came as defaults, without compressing the mana.

...

The sun was slowly emerging from the horizon and was mercifully waking everyone on the planet. Yet Dhruv was one such creature who found himself disturbed by the sunlight; he woke up from his slumber and looked around himself.

As expected, there were already some people who had begun to do their work, and most noticeable of them all were the undead of Azarex. They were working day and night, without receiving any salary or leave either.

They took some time to rest here and there, but that was it, and the idea of taking too much rest didn’t sit well with Azarex. So, he was either doing the work or improving his magic. Dhruv had noticed that Azarex could often be found playing with the giant Golem of his.

After becoming a monster, Dhruv noticed that he didn’t feel any need to excrete himself which he found very handy. He and his guardians were unique but the others needed to attend to their bodily needs, and luckily, the bathrooms of the prison were working, so, they didn’t have to go in the open.

This was also the reason why Dhruv was focusing on clearing the prison, as there were many such uses for this former home of his.

Having his thought complete Dhruv fully got up from the bed and conjured a water ball to wash his face. Feeling the slightly cold air kissing his face, a bright smile hung upon his face.

He was about to walk toward the training area to see the result of his teaching but stopped his steps when he heard the sound of something coming into his ear.

Dhruv instantly realized from where the sound had come. It was the sound of the Cosmos telling him about the arrival of the third quest.

’Finally...’ The smile on Dhruv’s face grew bigger as the thing he had been waiting for had finally come forth...

[The third main quest has appeared]

Looking at the notification in front of him, his heartbeat began to increase. He wasn’t nervous, no... it was the sound of excitement that had originated from the deepest corner of his heart.

After waiting for a second and letting his heart calm down, Dhruv finally opened the second notification and looked at its full content.

[Main Quest #03 - Hunt the Hunters]

[Description: After being hunted by the Monsters until now, it is finally your turn to hunt them. The door of the dungeon will open and let anyone enter the realm beyond your own. Enter the dungeon, kill the Boss of the dungeon, and close it forever.

Clear condition: Close at least 60% of the Dungeon.

Time limit: 30 Days

Reward: According to your performance

Failure: ...]

’So, we can finally enter the dungeon, I guess this is what I had expected. And who the hell is writing this type of description this isn’t some kind of novel’ Dhruv thought with a hint of sarcasm in his mind.

He knew it would be something to do with the crack, as for the reason where he deduced this information, partially it came from the revelation of Lyra’s vision, and partially its source was Dhruv’s own intuition.

’So, I have three cra– no dungeons near me. Will I be able to complete them all in 30 days? This should be doable, right?’ Dhruv thought.

’Yay! That should be doable,’ he answered his own question as he looked at the number of people on the island.

He didn’t plan to raid all the dungeons himself and had hope that the citizens of his island could at least conquer one of them on their own. If they were unable to do it, then as their lord, he would do it himself.

Closing the notification window, he wanted to have a chat with the important figures and readied himself for the third quest, which would start in one hour.

He called everyone and sat on the throne of the Eternal Star. Looking at the people present in front of him, Dhruv couldn’t help but feel a little proud.

Showing a hint of a smile on his face, he opened his mouth and said,

"As you already know, in one hour, the third quest will begin, and this isn’t like the second quest where everyone had to participate." He paused for a moment.

Everyone present nodded their heads in acknowledgment.

"I have decided to go into the first crack... No dungeon myself, with Azarex and Vexar to assess the situation. If everything goes as planned, then you guys will also have the chance to venture inside, of course, if you want to. If not, then nobody is going to force you..."

Dhruv didn’t stretch the meeting any longer than it needed and hurriedly excused everyone. He left the command to handle everyone while he was gone on the shoulders of Lyrs, and she was happy to comply.

For the first dungeon, Dhruv had chosen the one from which he had gained power—the crack that was in his own room.

Standing in front of the crack, Dhruv glanced at the clock’s counter, which noted:
