Chapter 27: Beast Tide (Part-1)
Everyone felt the heavy burden relieved. Even Max, Andrew and Mathew felt relieved, but they knew they needed to alert the city that a true beast tide is coming, and they needed everyone to be ready to protect the city.
Andrew then went to the soldier and told him everything he saw, and it now depends on whether they believe it or not.
Hearing this, the soldier’s expression changed, and he quickly went to his superior to tell them.
And it didn’t take much time for this soldier to return, " Come, Captain wanted to meet you."
The trio nodded, and silently they followed the soldier who led them to a hall. The captain waiting for them was surprisingly a woman and a beauty.
She wore a tight silver armour with orange gauntlets that seemed to elevate her sexy body. She calmly looked at the three while the trio also glanced at her with interest.
She was hot and, more importantly, strong. Her presence made the entire room burn. The three could feel the difference in temperature from outside and this room.
Max, with his sharp senses, felt as if she was burning hot, not just the sexy hot but truly being hot like a burning flame.
Not only that, her aura seemed to be a completely different level, even surpassing Cassian. If Cassian’s power was considered one, then she should be five or even ten.
"You said the beast tide is approaching?" After a brief silence, she finally spoke.
"Yes."
Andrew respectfully lowered his head.
"We came directly from the outer region of the Myriad Beast Mountain Range. The beast tide has already begun. We barely escaped with our lives."
He didn’t dare to look up as the pressure was too much even though she wasn’t intentionally releasing her aura. It was just that the difference was too great.
Hearing this, she seemed to start to think. She could see they weren’t lying, and they had also sent scouts in the Myriad Beast Mountain range, and they should be coming back.
If the beast tide was coming, then they needed help from everyone within the city. She needed to contact the family immediately.
"Alright, you three can leave."
The trio then silently left the room. As they left, the same middle-aged man wearing the silver-clad armour came in.
"What do you say? Are they telling the truth?" He asked.
"They should be telling the truth, and Myriad Beast Mountain has been silent for quite a long time, so it is possible." She said after thinking for a moment.
"Not only that, one among them was quite different; he had a similar aura that I felt from the people from the royal capital."
"Oh, but they seem to have arrived with the Mitri family’s caravan. Could they have got support from those people from the capital?" the middle-aged man thought, feeling surprised.
"No matter what, we didn’t need to care about that, but let’s be prepared for the worst." She said, and her eyes seemed to glow golden flames.

At that time, somewhere within the outer region of the Myriad Beast Mountain range, more than a dozen corpses lay scattered across the forest floor.
Some had both legs ripped off, others were missing their arms. Several had been decapitated entirely. But the bodies weren’t cut apart by blades.
Instead... It looked as though something or someone had simply pulled them apart with overwhelming brute force.
All of those corpses had something in common, as the clothes they wore had a burning flame symbol on them.
And within those corpses and blood, two figures were standing, but they appeared to be neither human nor beast.
The first figure appeared to be made of shadow, like a ghost resembling living darkness, making it impossible to distinguish any facial features. The second appeared to be more disturbing, appearing as a mass of millions of writhing insects clustered together forming a humanoid shape. Both seemed to radiate an eerie aura that seemed capable of devouring all life.
"The preparations have been completed."
A cold, inhuman voice emerged from the insect-like creature. Its voice alone was enough to make an ordinary person’s soul tremble in fear.
The shadowy figure gave a slight nod.
"Good. Then begin the beast tide"
The next instant... It vanished into the darkness.
Moments later, the insect creature collapsed into a swarm of countless venomous insects.
Buzz—
The swarm scattered in every direction before disappearing deep into the Myriad Beast Mountain Range.
At that very moment...
An unnatural darkness spread across the land. The atmosphere became unbearably heavy.
From deep within the mountain range... Every beast suddenly went mad. The already forming beast tide grew even more violent.
Thousands...
Then tens of thousands of beasts completely lost their sanity and surged toward the outside world at an even greater speed.
The hundreds of miles of mountains and dense forest seemed to tremble; the air seemed to turn heavy as the sun above in the sky seemed to have fully disappeared.
Max and others didn’t know what had just happened as they were resting. And especially Max, who, from being transmigrated, didn’t have a single moment to truly catch his breath.
He had a small smile on his face as he looked at the people in the Flameheart City.
He was either running or being hunted down, and only now could he say he somehow survived. However, he knew it wasn’t the end; that beast tide gave him a very weird feeling.
But it had nothing to do with him, and when the sky fell, someone stronger would hold it. He was just an unfortunate transmigrator. All he now needed to do was to steadily live and become stronger.
And maybe, if fate was kind enough... Build himself a small harem.
Nothing excessive.
Just a dozen wives or so.
