"Did you get an answer?" This was the first thing that No. 444 asked him after they met again. "Did he answer why you have to follow me?"
"Yes," his face was calm as he continued. "He made a deal for the both of us."
No. 444 paused. "Me?"
He nodded. "Yes. He told me about your performances. As a grim reaper, your behavior of not listening to the soul’s wishes is not appropriate." He paused for a second. "So he said that you must follow the rules and listen to them."
The latter’s brow quickly frowned. "Then what about you?"
"I’ll follow you."
No. 444’s expression is not good. "What if I refuse?"
"Then your chances of accumulating merit will slow down." He told half truthfully. In reality, the only thing that the Judge told him was about him helping the latter but he felt like he couldn’t achieve such results. No. 444 wouldn’t do anything to change his ways just because he said so, especially if it disrupts his normal activity. He also didn’t care about those souls, so why would he agree on ’spending’ more time for them?
The only way is to say that there are consequences if he didn’t follow the ’rules’.
However, he also forgets that it’s not just the grim reaper who’s indifferent to other beings but also himself.
Thus for their next ’client’, it was a woman who died from being poisoned. The moment they asked what her unfulfilled wish was and she said to take revenge, the devil wanted to agree immediately but No. 444 frowned and subconsciously retorted.
"You’re dead. You no longer have the right to make any movements for the living." As he always thought so, the dead are for the dead and the living is for the living.
The woman quickly became more irritable at his words and she waved her hands in an attempt to sweep the things on her table. Unfortunately, the ghost no longer had the power to touch anything, so when her arms merely passed through, her eyes reddened in madness even more.
"Ahhh!!" She screamed in hatred and could only aggressively pull her hair into a mess.
The two just indifferently look at her craziness while the devil frowns. "Why don’t you just agree? The Judge told you to prioritize their wishes so they would voluntarily follow us, isn’t it?"
"...." He couldn’t understand anymore. What did the Judge really want him to do? What she wanted was to do something that could affect a human’s life, she is not allowed to do so. Humans have their own laws to deal with things and so do them.
But as the devil said, if that’s what she really wants, does he have to break that ’rule?’
"The resentment around her is getting darker." The devil’s warning brought him back to his senses and it is indeed true. The dark energy is slowly covering her soul and if this goes longer, her hatred will turn her into an evil spirit. Which is definitely a failure for him as a grim reaper.
He frowned deeper and he could only answer her. "Fine." he finally agreed.
The woman finally calmed down but her face is still full of gloom and enmity. According to her memory, they teleported to the place of the suspected perpetrator.
However they were stunned by what they witnessed. Inside the condominium in the wide living room, there’s a man and a woman— both naked and engaging with an intimate passion.
The sounds of moaning from the woman, the constant groan from the man and the rushing liquids entangling echoes. No. 444 and the devil paused but remained calm as it had nothing to do with them. On the contrary, the second the ghost saw what’s happening, her hatred rushed and she screamed again.
The dark energy that once calmed erupted like a volcano and she wanted to rush like madman if it weren’t for the grim reaper stopping her.
"Shameless! Disgusting cheaters!" The woman shouted. It turns out that the people in front of her were her boyfriend and the woman he cheated with, her own cousin. Just because they don’t want their affair to be discovered by the family, they poisoned her to death.
She has not been suspicious of them and treated them well when she was still alive. Even with some subtle reminders from her friends and her instinct, she still chose to trust them. That is also why when her cousin ordered a cake for her, she didn’t hesitate to eat it, only for her life to end like this.

No. 444 subconsciously wanted to disagree when he remembered the conversation earlier. For the first time, he felt a dilemma about what to choose.
His pauses ignited the ghost’s anger and before he could answer, she went close to the scumbags.
The two are still busy moving their bodies rapidly and enjoying the fire inside them, not knowing a woman with a deadly pale face and a blood running on her mouth coming closer.
Suddenly they felt a chill around them that made the man pause.
"W-What are you doing?" The woman coquettishly asked while her face was red and sweating. She thought the man felt guilty for a moment so she quickly raised her naked body and embraced the man, letting her big chest bumped on his hard chest. Her arms wrapped on his neck and she began licking his Adam’s apple seductively.
"Nothing." Of course the man didn’t think much of it especially after the woman enticed him again. He threw that feeling at the back of his head and they continued again. Soon, their breathing went rapidly and so did their movements. It’s obvious that they are both coming to a climax.
And they did. Screams of pleasure were heard and lewd expressions were plastered on their faces as they came to this bliss. Their bodies are still embracing each other for warmth and just as they want to continue to prolong the stimulation, when the woman opened her eyes in daze, her body went completely rigid when she saw something beside them.
"!!!!"
"AHHH!!!" Soon after, another scream engulfed the room, not because of pleasure but from horror and fear.
