Chapter 1147: A heaven within Hell
A wide smile appeared on the face of the True Depravita of Pride as he felt the immense power coursing through his body. His breakthrough into the Paragon Rank was nothing short of extraordinary. Not only had his raw strength increased to a terrifying degree, but his very essence had evolved.
His Gift—Heaven’s Gate—had transformed alongside him.
What had once been a supreme weapon was now something far greater. Each divine weapon contained within the Gate had evolved, infused with the power of the Depravita Race itself. These weapons were no longer limited to striking flesh and bone; they could now pierce the mind and soul, attacking the very core of an opponent’s existence.
Yet Overlord was still Overlord.
Even in the midst of such triumph, his mind did not linger on victory.
It moved forward.
A deep frown formed on his face as he contemplated the path ahead. Advancing through the Lord Rank had required a True Depravita to fully understand and dominate the essence of their Sin—transforming that abstract concept into a tangible force that permeated every cell of their body and every fragment of their soul.
But the path beyond that...
The Paragon Realm remained shrouded in mystery.
There was no clear method, no defined process.
Only uncertainty.
After a moment, Overlord released a soft sigh. Then, slowly, a confident smile returned to his face.
Though the future was unclear, this was still a monumental step forward. And he had no doubt that he would uncover the path ahead. He would find the way for the True Depravitas to ascend even further—to reach the Empyrean Rank, and with it, the power needed to face the Ancient Ones.
Nearby, Vlad showed a radiant smile as he sensed Overlord’s growth, and the same was true for the other powerhouses gathered in the sky above the newly formed Final Layer of Hell.
They had achieved a tremendous victory.
The Devil Paragons had been dealt with.
Hell itself had been reshaped.
Yet despite all of that, their work was far from over.
"Let’s move," Vlad said, his voice echoing across the heavens.
In the next instant, the gathered elites vanished, reappearing within the Seventh Layer.
What awaited them there was a sight of staggering scale.
Thousands upon thousands of Legends, along with hundreds of thousands of Sages, worked tirelessly across the vast expanse. Massive machines had been deployed, their structures towering over the landscape, while colossal strongholds were being erected along the core energy lines that crisscrossed the realm.
At the center of it all stood the Origin Force Monoliths—sources of immense power that the Six Sun Alliance was determined to fully harness.
However, to truly utilize the potential of the Seventh Layer, more was needed.
The construction of magical matrices and runic formations capable of integrating with the Laws themselves required the involvement of Paragon-level entities.
And so, the Lords and Paragons began their work.
Vlad, Overlord, and the White Death joined forces at the very heart of the layer, forging the central formation—the core of their defensive network.
It was an ambitious creation.
A living formation that merged the powers of space, gravity, and entropy into a single, unified system. It was designed not only to defend against Paragons, but to repel them entirely.
And that was only the beginning.
Thanks to Overlord’s mastery over Divine Power and his deep understanding of the soul, the formation would not remain a static construct. It would evolve—grow—adapt.
It would become alive.
A sentient guardian capable of responding to threats with intelligence and purpose.
Time was not on their side, and so the trio worked without pause.
Meanwhile, the remaining Lords spread across the Seventh Layer, each constructing massive formations of their own. These were not isolated structures; every formation was interconnected, forming a vast, unified network that spanned the entire realm.
There would be no blind spots.
No weaknesses.
Every inch of the layer would be protected.
Two months into the construction, a significant shift occurred.
Half of the Lords, led by Brightkin and Orkin, departed Hell and returned to the Abyss.
While the Six Sun Alliance had secured dominance over Hell, the Abyss remained unstable. The Faerathian Emperor and the Dvergar King had temporarily left their domains to assist in the final battle, but their absence had gone unnoticed—for now.
It was time to return.
This was not merely about territory.
The forces of the Six Sun Alliance needed to continue growing, and the only way to achieve that was through constant conflict. The Abyss provided exactly that—a battlefield where strength could be forged through endless struggle.
Moreover, Demon Souls were an invaluable resource.
They played a crucial role in the rapid rise of Legends, thanks to the Demon Soul Master Strength System.
Even with their departure, the construction in the Seventh Layer continued at full pace.
The realm itself began to change.
The fluctuations of space grew increasingly intense, to the point where even Sages could feel them. Their gazes instinctively turned toward the colossal formation at the center of the layer.
There, Vlad stood, his eyes sharp as blades.
The Quantum Eye pulsed with power, allowing him to embed the very essence of the Law of Space into the formation. The strain was immense. A creeping exhaustion spread through his body, but he pushed forward relentlessly.
He could not afford to stop.
Finally—
The formation erupted with radiant light, illuminating the entire layer.
The brilliance lasted only a moment before fading.
When it did, silence fell.
Vlad, Overlord, and the White Death stared at the formation beneath them, their eyes filled with awe.
It was alive.
They could feel it.
The formation pulsed like a living organism, breathing in a steady rhythm. With each inhalation and exhalation, the fabric of space itself expanded and contracted in harmony.
"It is a true living formation... amazing," the White Death murmured, unable to hide his admiration.
Though still in its infancy, the formation possessed a primitive instinct—a singular purpose: to protect the people of the Six Sun Alliance.
And it would grow.
As it evolved, so too would its intelligence... and its power.
Vlad let out a long breath, a sense of relief washing over him as he took in the state of the Seventh Layer.
It had not been easy.
The process had been exhausting, relentless.
But they had succeeded.
They had created a sanctuary.
A place where their people could live without fear.
A place where the horrors lurking in the darkness could not reach them.
Vlad’s gaze softened slightly as he looked across the fortified realm.
He had done it.
He had forged a heaven... within Hell.
