Chapter 241: Chapter 241 - Leave

Theo woke up early the next morning.

Despite what had happened the previous night, he’d slept perfectly fine thanks to his ability.

He spent the entire morning training his heart out, just to make sure he was in perfect shape to head to Jordan.

Finally, as the clock hit three p.m., he walked out of his mansion in a fresh set of clothes.

’Time to go,’ he thought seriously.

As he reached the front of his mansion, a sleek limousine already waited for him.

A man dressed in a clean suit immediately stepped forward, opening the rear door for him.

’’Young Master Theo,’’ he greeted respectfully.

Theo raised an eyebrow.

’Iris did say she was going to give us all a lift,’ he thought. ’But a private limo with just me inside?’

That wasn’t what he’d expected.

After getting in, the limousine pulled away from the mansion instantly.

Theo quietly leaned back in his seat, watching the city pass by through the tinted window.

A very faint ominous feeling had started spreading through his stomach.

Memories of both times it had happened before surged through his mind.

’Something’s going to happen once again,’ he thought, clenching his fist. ’But this time, I’ll be ahead of it.’

Before long, the limousine pulled into a familiar private airport.

As Theo stepped out, he instantly spotted a sleek white jet waiting on the runway, a large dark logo of the Blackwood family pressed onto each side.

Iris stood below the jet, a smile on her face as she spoke with a few attendants.

The moment she spotted him, she cut her conversation short and moved toward him.

’’You’re here,’’ she said, smiling sweetly.

Theo nodded, glancing around the airport.

’’Looks like I’m one of the first,’’ he said.

Iris let out a faint chuckle.

’’Yes, you are,’’ she said lightly. ’’The others should be here in about thirty to sixty seconds.’’

Raising an eyebrow, Theo couldn’t help but stare at her.

’That’s awfully precise,’ he thought.

As if on cue, another limousine slowly pulled up beside them.

The rear door slowly opened as Jim stepped out.

He waved at them before bending back into the car and pulling out a broad bag.

’’Hey,’’ he greeted with a smile.

Before anyone could say another word, a third vehicle came racing through the entrance.

The rear door burst open.

Owen practically jumped out before looking around frantically.

’’Oh man,’’ he groaned. ’’We were last.’’

Lyra only shrugged, stepping out with a light bag.

Watching his best friend sulk as he pulled out a thin bag, Theo couldn’t help but look at Iris.

She stood beside him with a simple and innocent smile on her face.

’Did she arrange this or something?’ he thought.

After a moment, he simply let out a chuckle and turned to Owen.

’’What took you so long?’’ he asked, tilting his head. ’’You couldn’t have been slacking off, right?’’

Owen’s expression darkened slightly.

He muttered a few curses under his breath before waving him off.

Iris let out a faint chuckle behind him.

Then she calmly gestured toward the private jet.

’’Shall we go?’’ she asked.

Everyone nodded.

Without wasting any more time, they followed her across the runway.

An attendant opened the aircraft door before stepping aside respectfully.

One after another, the five boarded the private jet.

The cabin was far larger than Theo had expected, with luxurious leather seats lining both sides and a long polished table in the center.

’Adrian’s jet is nothing compared to this,’ he thought, eyes wide.

Owen immediately threw himself into one of the seats.

’’Now this is traveling,’’ he said, grinning.

Theo simply shook his head before taking the seat across from him.

Lyra and Iris each took seats beside the two, leaving Jim awkwardly standing in the aisle.

’I need to find myself a girlfriend too,’ he winced, taking a seat on the opposite side of the aisle. ’Third-wheeling like this is something else...’

A few minutes later, the engines slowly began roaring to life.

As the jet started taxiing toward the runway, Owen suddenly glanced at Theo with a mischievous grin.

’’You know,’’ he began loudly, ’’it really must be nice having a rich girlfriend.’’

Theo didn’t even bother looking up.

Just as a grin appeared on Owen’s face, the person seated beside him looked up.

’’So it’s not nice with me?’’

Owen’s expression instantly froze, slowly turning his head toward her.

Lyra stared expressionlessly at him for a moment.

’’N-No,’’ Owen stammered. ’’It’s super nice.’’

’’I was just—’’

Lyra slowly shook her light blue hair, anger flashing through her eyes.

’’Save your excuses,’’ she said. ’’Or I’ll have to beat them out of you tonight.’’

’’Kgh—!’’ Jim coughed, hastily setting his drink down.

It wasn’t just him either.

Theo and Iris both stared at Lyra with wide eyes.

Suddenly, a wide grin spread across Theo’s face.

’’So that’s how it is, huh,’’ he said.

Owen’s head snapped toward him.

’’Don’t you start,’’ he said, pointing at him.

A grin slowly spread even wider across Theo’s face.

’’I have to admit,’’ he said, resting his chin on one hand. ’’I never would’ve expected that from you.’’

Owen’s ears immediately turned red.

’’Oi, don’t make it sound weird.’’

’’Weird?’’ Theo asked innocently. ’’I didn’t even say anything yet.’’

Owen opened his mouth.

’’I—’’

Before he could get another word out, Lyra calmly turned a page of the magazine resting on her lap.

’’We have a very healthy relationship,’’ she said without even looking up. ’’I don’t see the problem.’’

She finally lifted her eyes toward Theo and Iris.

’’Though I do wonder how healthy your relationship has been.’’

Theo’s smile froze.

Iris blinked once before a faint blush slowly spread across her cheeks.

Just like that, the entire cabin fell silent.

On the opposite side of the aisle, Jim couldn’t help but grumble as he stared at both couples.

’This is unreal,’ he thought, shaking his head. ’How could they just say that? It’s almost like I’m not even here.’

Meanwhile, one of the flight attendants quietly glanced at his watch.

A faint smile appeared beneath his professional expression.

His gaze briefly settled on a black box with a faint green light blinking beneath a panel just outside the cockpit.

Then he continued walking as though nothing had happened.
