Chapter 227: Chapter 225: Giving Leia a Backhand Slap

Bai Su was finally satisfied.

It wasn’t that she wouldn’t buy new Skills, but she didn’t want to spend blindly before she was sure what she needed.

A faint noise suddenly echoed from nearby.

Bai Su spun around warily. She bought a flashlight from the general store, and its beam revealed four people nearby, all on the verge of death.

Leia, too, was clearly badly hurt.

Bai Su frowned slightly, hesitating whether to deliver the finishing blow.

If they weren’t completely dead, they would be a huge problem for her in the future.

Bai Su walked closer and took out a knife from her system inventory.

The last time she had taken this knife out was when she stabbed Li Chenlin.

It allowed her to strike a vital point with one hundred percent accuracy.

Later, she had even improved and upgraded its accuracy, making it a one-hit kill.

Bai Su’s eyes turned cold. Aiming for Leia’s neck, she raised the knife high.

The moment the blade sank into Leia’s artery, she snapped her eyes open and grabbed Bai Su’s wrist.

Bai Su quickly applied more force.

But Leia’s strength was astounding. She simply held Bai Su’s wrist and laughed, a mad cackle, as blood streamed continuously from her neck.

Bai Su couldn’t move her. Her expression grew colder. "What are you laughing at?"

When Leia had laughed her fill, she disdainfully pushed her away. "Because I’m happy."

She slowly climbed up. Her limbs were all dislocated from the fall, and her gait was like that of a newly evolved zombie.

Bai Su frowned slightly, watching her warily and tightening her grip on the dagger in her hand.

’If I have to, I can use my Clone. Four against one, and with Leia heavily injured, I might have a chance.’

As if sensing her thoughts, Leia sneered. "Don’t waste your energy. I can’t die."

She casually stepped on the three corpses beside her as she walked over, not even bothering to go around them.

Bai Su took a silent step back, aiming her dagger at Leia. "What do you want?"

Leia: "I just want you to try and see if I’ll actually die."

She presented herself before Bai Su, showing no aggression at all. "Here. Go on, stab me."

Bai Su seized the opportunity and stabbed her in the chest.

Even when the knife was pulled out, Leia’s expression didn’t change, as if she wasn’t the one with blood gushing from her chest.

Refusing to believe it, Bai Su stabbed her a few more times in the neck and head.

Leia was still standing just fine. Even when Bai Su’s knife was stuck in the back of her head, she remained unfazed.

Aside from being a bit weaker and more worn-out, there were almost no other effects.

A flicker of excitement crossed Leia’s eyes. "You’ve got pretty good aim. For a weak little female who can’t even truss a chicken, it’s pretty rare to see every stab hit a fatal point."

"You’re actually getting me a little excited."

Bai Su: "..."

She had no choice but to believe Leia’s words.

It seemed Leia really couldn’t die.

But these injuries definitely had some effect on her. At the very least, Leia’s movements were hindered.

Leia looked at her. "Believe me now? Then let’s cooperate."

Bai Su: "Why should I cooperate with you?"

Leia: "Because I’m suddenly starting to like you."

If Bai Su had spared her or even helped her while she was unconscious, she would have killed her the moment she opened her eyes.

But Bai Su didn’t. She had plunged a knife into her head without a second thought.

So adorable.

This was her sister, alright.

A glint flashed in Bai Su’s eyes. "And why should I cooperate with you?"

Leia strode confidently in front of her, looking ready to latch on. "Because I’m your biological sister. Don’t you Justice Messengers care most about family?"

"We came from the same womb, you know."

Bai Su: "Oh? And what of it?"

Leia: "...You’re not surprised at all?"

The corner of Bai Su’s mouth twitched. Not wanting to argue with her anymore, she turned and left.

Her body contorting, Leia followed. Her broken limbs refused to obey, so she took two steps walking for every three she crawled, like an undying zombie. "I’m asking you a question! You knew I was your sister? Then why didn’t you lend a hand and save me? Don’t you righteous folk love to do things that put your justice on display?"

Bai Su: "I’m different. I’m a hypocrite. There’s no one else here, so I don’t need to pretend to be kind."

Leia, panting from the effort, simply grabbed onto her thigh. "You can’t fool me. Even if other people were here, you still wouldn’t save me."

Bai Su kicked her away. "If you knew, then why ask?"

Leia crawled over again and jumped onto her back. "Let’s stick together. We’ll have company. Do you know where this is?"

Annoyed, Bai Su tried to pull her off. "I don’t know."

This time, Leia clung tightly to her neck. "This is the Endless Abyss. No one who enters ever comes out alive."

"A smart person who ends up here should stick together with others, not stupidly kick away a temporary teammate."

Bai Su: "You’re dead weight, not a temporary teammate."

Leia: "..."

’My little sister isn’t as cute as I imagined.’

Bai Su pushed Leia away several more times, but she couldn’t stand up to Leia’s shameless persistence and finally just let her be.

In her half-dead state, Leia unfastened her overalls, looped them over Bai Su’s shoulders, and fastened them again, turning herself into a human backpack.

The Abyss was quiet, cold, and poorly lit.

Shining her flashlight around, Bai Su began to survey the terrain.

But the darkness was too deep, making it difficult to see clearly.

She thought for a moment and decided to wait until daytime tomorrow to assess the situation.

Suddenly, a faint noise came from a corner.

Bai Su whipped around, aiming her flashlight at the source of the sound. She saw a black bear with scarlet eyes, radiating a black aura and clearly poised to attack.

Bai Su subconsciously pulled out her dagger, but after a moment’s thought, she quickly swapped it for a gun from the store.

Leia’s head was resting on her shoulder. She tutted, "You’re so damn unlucky, running into this thing."

Bai Su didn’t have time to deal with her.

Leia: "Let me touch the gun."

Bai Su gave her a suspicious look. "Why?"

Leia: "The beasts in the Abyss have all been mutated by Dark Power. Normal bullets are useless."

After a moment’s thought, Bai Su held the gun out to her.

Leia rested her hand on the gun. Her twisted, broken hand couldn’t grip it, so she could only tap it lightly.

Bai Su watched in astonishment as the gun underwent an earth-shattering transformation in her hand, changing from a delicate little pistol into a massive, alien-looking cannon.

She fired the cannon at the black bear without hesitation.

The black bear was hit by the projectile, and the explosion knocked it to the ground.

Leia raised an eyebrow. "Tough hide. Didn’t even scratch the skin."

Bai Su retreated cautiously while racking her brain for a solution.

The black bear was now enraged. It got back up and lunged swiftly toward Bai Su.

Bai Su quickly used the Cunning Rabbit’s Three Caves Skill. Three Clones appeared simultaneously and dodged in different directions.

Each Clone also had a Leia on its back.

After a simple shuffle, the black bear lost track of the original and angrily lunged at a random Clone.

Leia waved excitedly at the bear. "Hey! You idiot! Let’s see if you can find the real me!"

The black bear turned its head and lunged right for her.

Bai Su had no choice but to smack her across the face, roll out of the way, and recall her Clones to shuffle them again.
