Chapter 225: Chapter 223: Both Fall into the Endless Abyss

"Well now, isn’t this interesting. No one’s ever survived one of my attacks before. You’re the first. Truly worthy of being my dear sister."

Leia’s voice, much like her appearance, was that of a mischievous little brat, yet her tone was somehow enough to make one’s blood run cold.

Bai Su didn’t dare to lower her guard.

’She knew, of course, that the only reason she’d been able to reflect Leia’s bullet was because of a life-saving item from the System Mall.’

’Knowing Leia might come to assassinate her, she had already spent most of her points on various life-saving items.’

’She hadn’t just stockpiled life-saving items for herself; she had also gotten plenty for her children and Lu Tingyan.’

’She was very protective of her life, after all.’

The smoke and dust cleared, revealing Leia’s already grimy face, now so filthy that her original skin was almost invisible.

Only her eyes shone through, exceptionally bright and fixed on Bai Su with excitement. "Hard to kill. I like it!"

She rushed Bai Su again, her right hand snatching at the empty air, condensing it into a sharp, steelified dagger that she thrust forward.

Bai Su activated a new defensive item.

The instant the dagger almost touched her eye, the blade was sent flying. Leia, unable to check her momentum, stumbled and fell right on top of Bai Su, her small, grimy face burying itself firmly in Bai Su’s ample chest.

Bai Su: "..."

Leia: "..."

The three or four males standing by made sounds of envy: "Wow..."

Leia took two steps back, the excitement in her eyes verging on madness. "Excellent. It seems you really have some tricks up your sleeve."

Leia charged again, and was again neutralized by one of Bai Su’s defensive items.

No matter what method Leia used, she just couldn’t kill Bai Su.

Her excitement gave way to obsession, which finally soured into outright fury.

The males at her side were accidentally injured several times in the process.

"Boss, maybe we should call it off... This little female, there’s something off about her..."

Leia looked as if she’d just heard the world’s greatest joke. "Call it off? Say that to me one more fucking time."

The Beastman immediately fell silent.

Leia’s face grew grim. She stared daggers at Bai Su, who was still sitting on the floor, her eyes dark with murderous intent. "This was a special mission from Xiao Yi. I have to finish it!"

Losing her mind with rage, she pulled a massive cannon out of nowhere, aimed it at Bai Su, and prepared to fire.

The pilot at the front of the aircraft could finally take it no longer. "Leia, calm down," he said coolly. "A cannon of that caliber will destroy our aircraft as well."

Leia whipped her head around, her eyes filled with hostility. "You dare tell me what to do?! You’re courting death!"

She swung the cannon around and blasted him away with a single shot.

With a tremendous BANG, the entire aircraft began to shake violently.

Losing her balance, Bai Su quickly grabbed a nearby chair, inwardly cursing Leia. ’That lunatic!’

’If she blows up the aircraft, we’ll all die!’

The pilot had been blasted away by Leia. The explosion tore the nose of the Battle Armor from its body, splitting the craft in two. The front section shot forward before plummeting from the sky.

Severed wires sparked and arced with electricity, and the rest of the aircraft quickly caught fire.

The three or four Bear Beastmen huddled together in terror. "Boss, it’s on fire! Fire! Fire!"

Leia, refusing to believe it, aimed the cannon back at Bai Su. "I refuse to believe this can’t kill you!"

The fire spread rapidly toward Bai Su. The metal chair she was clinging to was a perfect conductor of heat.

Bai Su’s palm was instantly scalded red. She gritted her teeth, watching helplessly as her palm burned until it went numb. Blood welled up, and her grip slipped.

Her body, now unsupported, tumbled out of the aircraft.

Leia’s cannon blast flew past, grazing her ear.

"Boss! She’s getting away!"

Leia cursed, "I can see that! Do I need you to tell me?!"

She immediately jumped down in hot pursuit.

Seeing this, the other three Bear Beastmen had no choice but to brace themselves and jump down as well.

But evidently, none of them were very lucky.

The place where the aircraft was falling was the Endless Abyss.

From high above, the Abyss they were falling into looked like nothing more than a tiny crack in the earth.

Up close, however, the cliffs were at least five hundred meters apart, with all sorts of crisscrossing stone pillars connecting the opposing rock faces.

It was like a piece of torn flesh, the muscle fibers still connected and pulling at each other.

That area was rumored to be the place where the Beast God had defeated the Dark Power long ago.

Mutated beasts emerged endlessly from within, and not even a Level 9 Beastman would dare set foot in such a place.

Bai Su barely had time to release her spiritual power, wrapping it around herself as she curled up to protect her head.

The impact from the long fall sent a shockwave through her, making her feel as if her spine was about to shatter.

With a dull THUD, her back slammed into a stone pillar, causing it to collapse as her body continued to fall.

Although her descent was slowed, Bai Su’s face paled instantly, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

After crashing into another stone pillar, Bai Su felt her leg break.

Then her abdomen, her chest, her forehead, her arm...

The world spun for what felt like an eternity. The violent impacts made her feel like she had been smashed into a pulp.

An earthy smell soon filled her nose.

Bai Su could hold on no longer and passed out.

Leia and the three Bear Beastmen were falling as well.

They repeatedly slammed into stone pillars, shattering them, and continued to plummet downward.

After a few such impacts that broke their fall, the four of them also landed not far from Bai Su, unconscious.

The gloomy Abyss was shrouded in darkness.

Though it was over 500 meters in diameter, it was so deep—and the interlocking stone pillars so dense—that they blocked the light.

Even during the day, it was difficult for light to penetrate.

Let alone now, in the dead of night.

The only sound in the Abyss was the occasional gust of wind, which shrieked like a banshee as it was sliced apart by the stone pillars.

The cliffs, along with the soil and gravel at the bottom, looked as if they had been scorched by a great fire. Not a single blade of grass grew, and there was an utter absence of any color that would suggest Life Force.

However, the bottom of the Abyss was dotted with dark red Crystal Stones. Like pillars of red crystal, they were scattered about in small clusters, emitting a faint, dark red glow.

But they only managed to illuminate a few meters around them.

Besides the sound of the wind, there was almost no other sound in the Abyss.

Here, time itself seemed to stand still.

In the darkness, a soft white light began to shine.

The light grew softer, yet also more dazzling.

A corner of the Abyss was slowly illuminated as the light grew ever stronger.

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered in the sky, laced with distinct white lightning. They formed a massive vortex that looked as if it would swallow the earth.

A white light flickered incessantly within the vortex, its frequency perfectly matching the flashing of the white light at the bottom of the Abyss.

Li Chenlin and his group, who were rushing through the forest, couldn’t help but stop in their tracks when they saw this scene.

An immense spiritual power was wrapped within the clouds, pressing down on the earth bit by bit, creating an inexplicable sense of suffocation that made it hard to breathe.

Suddenly, there was a deafening clap of thunder.

The dense white lightning bolts, as if they had gained Life Force, suddenly converged into one point. They looked like the inverted roots of a tree, coiling in the sky and growing ceaselessly downward toward the Abyss.
