"Ao Yin," Lord Mo said, looking up. "You don’t recognize me?"

Ao Yin froze. "Lord Mo..."
Lord Mo didn’t deign to give him a proper look. "Let’s go."
Ao Yin scrambled to follow. The men he had brought were utterly confused, but they obediently trailed after Ao Yin.
The onlookers were completely baffled. "So, what in the world is going on?"
From the looks of it, Ao Yin was being especially respectful and... afraid of this female?
Back at the Invincible Alliance, Ao Yin asked cautiously, "Lord Mo, what is... this?"
Lord Mo casually placed Yu An on the table. "I have obtained this body. How are the preparations for the grand array coming along?"
"They’re still in progress. It won’t be long before..."
"’Still in progress,’ again!"
Lord Mo’s face darkened as He hurled a teacup at him. "You’ve been preparing for this long and you’re still not done?!"
Ao Yin didn’t dare to dodge, allowing the teacup to shatter against him. "M-My Lord, the materials required for the grand array are just too numerous..."
"I don’t want to hear your excuses," Lord Mo cut him off. "Finish it as soon as possible."
Ao Yin bowed his head low. "Yes."
After Ao Yin left, Lord Mo turned around to see Yu An looking at Him with stars in her eyes.
He frowned. "What is it?"
"That was so satisfying!"
Yu An gave Him a thumbs-up. "So there’s an upside to you possessing my body. Hey, for the sake of all the delicious food I make for you, could you chew Ao Yin out some more?"
Lord Mo’s mouth twitched. He ignored her and went to the couch to rest. Yu An sighed and found a random spot to sit down and rest as well.
It wasn’t until evening that Lord Mo opened His eyes. He looked at Yu An, and she understood instantly.
It was time to cook.
"Do you have a kitchen here? If not, just clear out an empty room for me. I brought my own cookware and everything."
On Ao Yin’s orders, the guards obeyed Lord Mo without question. A clean room was quickly prepared.
Yu An went inside, closed the door, and took out all the cookware she would need.
After cracking open a coconut, she poured the juice into a pot. She cut the coconut meat into strips and added it to the pot along with red dates and goji berries. Once it came to a boil, she added the chopped chicken pieces and let it simmer over low heat.
For the dipping sauce, she used sand ginger, garlic, millet chilis, and small green limes mixed with light soy sauce and sesame oil. Yu An’s Space didn’t have any sand ginger or small green limes, so she simply substituted them with regular ginger and lemon. The taste was similar enough.
She also prepared fresh shrimp and beef, along with some vegetables to cook in the hot pot.
Just as she brought the food to the table, and before Lord Mo could throw her out, Yu An quickly said, "Um, look, I prepared so much. Why don’t we eat together?"
"You’re all-powerful, you must have a way, right?"
Seeing Lord Mo remain silent, Yu An added slyly, "How about I make you a few coconut desserts later?"
The words had barely left her mouth when Yu An found herself thrown out again. Just as she was about to resign herself to finding a place to rest, she suddenly discovered her soul-body was rapidly growing larger.
When she was the same size as the body Lord Mo was currently using, Yu An suddenly felt a pang of hunger in her stomach.
She was astonished. "I’m..."
"From now on, use this body to cook. You’ll shrink back down after you finish eating."
Lord Mo tossed out this statement and picked up His chopsticks, ready to eat.
’Even if I can only return to my normal size for a limited time, this is still pretty great.’
Yu An brought her own portion of dipping sauce over and sat down to eat across from Lord Mo.
From time to time, she would glance up at Lord Mo opposite her. Although the one inside was Lord Mo, the body was hers.
The two of "her" sitting and eating together felt quite... bizarre.
The coconut chicken was light, sweet, and succulent. The broth was rich and savory, the chicken was tender, and the shrimp and beef were delicious when cooked in the pot. Even the vegetables had their own special flavor.
The two of them quickly polished off the entire table of meat and vegetables. Yu An patted her stomach in satisfaction.
"Now this is what I’m talking about. Even if the world ends tomorrow, having eaten this coconut chicken hot pot makes it all worth it."
"I’ll rest for a bit, then make a late-night snack."
Lord Mo was already full. He asked, puzzled, "You’re not full?"
"I am full," Yu An explained matter-of-factly. "But we females have separate compartments in our stomachs for main courses, dessert, and snacks. There’s always room for a little more."
"Besides, the world is going to end soon. I won’t be able to eat such delicious food anymore, so I have to eat what I can, while I can."
Yu An was just about to get started when a thought occurred to her. "Oh, right. So are you actually female or male?"
Lord Mo was silent for a moment. "I can be either."
Yu An: "???"
’No wonder He’s the evil aspect of the Beast God. His answers are just as absurd.’
Yu An didn’t understand and pestered Him to explain clearly. Exasperated, Lord Mo finally said, "I have no fixed sex. When the Beast God takes a female form, I am female. He is currently male, so I am male."
"Oh, so that’s how it is."
It dawned on Yu An.
The Beast God was currently in the form of a male Merfolk, so Lord Mo was currently male.
She immediately followed up, "So do you prefer being female or male?"
"I don’t care."
"Alright then," Yu An said with a shrug. "I’ll just think of you as a girl from now on."
"You wait here. I’m going to make dessert."
She cracked open a coconut, blended the juice and meat together into a pulp, strained it, and poured the resulting coconut milk into a pot with regular milk and white sugar, bringing it to a gentle boil over low heat.
Yu An was making coconut milk jelly, which required gelatin. There was no ready-made gelatin in her space, but she had already planned on making this and had previously prepared some gelatin from pig skin.
After the gelatin dissolved, she poured the coconut milk mixture into the coconut shell. After chilling for a while, it would turn into a jiggly coconut milk jelly.
Using this method, Yu An also made a few other versions of coconut milk jelly with added fruit.
While the jellies were chilling, Yu An took out a pile of chicken feet, duck wings, duck collarbones, as well as sliced lotus root, potatoes, and other vegetables.
Lord Mo saw this and asked, "What are you making now?"
"Making some braised snacks," Yu An explained as she prepped. "My recipe for these is a family secret. I guarantee that once you have a bite, you’ll want more!"
Lord Mo was silent for a moment. "Why... are you being so nice to me?"
After all, He had forcibly taken over Yu An’s body.
"Huh?"
Yu An looked back, confused. "Nice to you?"
"Not really. I just got a craving myself. And besides, before the world ends, I’ve got to eat everything I want to eat at least once!"
Lord Mo: "..."
He felt His face flush. He turned to leave, but Yu An quickly grabbed Him. "Where are you going? If you go out, and then I go out, aren’t we going to scare people to death?"
Lord Mo said irritably, "I’m just stepping out. I’ll be back in a little while."
Only then did Yu An let go of Him. "Okay, but remember to be back within the hour, ’kay? Otherwise, I won’t be able to stop myself from eating the braised snacks once they’re done."
Lord Mo didn’t answer her and strode away.
He left the courtyard to find Ao Yin. The moonlight was bright tonight, illuminating the ground below.
Ao Yin was currently stressing over how to complete the grand array as quickly as possible. Seeing Lord Mo arrive, he scrambled to his feet to greet Him. "My Lord, what brings you here?"
Lord Mo took out a piece of paper. "Follow the diagram on this. Build a smaller array in each of the four cardinal directions: north, south, east, and west."
Ao Yin was completely lost. "Why do we need to build these?"
Lord Mo had no intention of explaining. "Just do as you’re told. No more questions."
