Chapter 202: Chapter 202 REBUILDING
"Genetic Upgrades!"
An overpowering might descends on the two individuals, making them breathless.
Without hesitation, they transform into their hybrid forms.
One was a bear and the other looks like a beast that doesn’t have any race, only fur and muscles.
"You two will come with me." Sean arrives in front of them and waves his hand.
A powerful pressure descends from the sky as the image of a world appears behind him.
The sound of bones cracking can be heard as the entire area around the two looks like it was being crushed by something.
"Hmm? Your life force is strange." Stepping on their heads, he grabs one of them, that person opens his mouth and fires an energy blast point blank.
Just as he was smiling, a hand pierces through his stomach and a searing sensation starts burning in his body.
"This is how your organization creates all of these fake Innates, using the bloodline from Innate mystique creatures and using your vitality and soul to stimulate the remaining power of Innates."
These two only have ten years to live, many silver rankers live much longer than them.
This is the exchange they made to obtain such power.
"How pathetic, you guys were already at gold rank, to give up such thing just to obtain such power."
He proceeds to break all of their limbs, dislocated their jaws and burns their bodies, making them look charred.
He also pops their eyes, preventing them from being able to see.
Their screams became hoarse by the time he’s finished, he brings them back to the city and informs everyone about the information about the two.
"If I’m not wrong, there’s a corpse of an Innate buried in this area, these guys are searching for it."
"Will more come?" They are worried.
"Don’t worry, don’t forget, you guys have bear and using the space gate only takes an instant, it’s enough time for reinforcement to come."
They are relieved and they marvel at just how amazing the space gates are.
"I need these guys alive, I don’t care how you treat them, I only need them breathing and speaking."
The eyes of everyone lights up, they glare at the two.
Sean heals them, even though, he doesn’t want to but he wants them to give something to vent their emotions on.
Leaving the place, he returns to building the space gate, meanwhile, the two keeps on screaming.
He didn’t think that this was cruel, they deserve it.
Bear returns and he angrily shouts at everyone who were beating up the two individuals.
"Lord Bear, listen to our explanation first!" One of them takes up the courage and shouts.
Bear stops and stares at them.
"They are traitors!"
Just as his words ended, Bear’s hostility descends from the sky, his eyes gleams with a sharp intention.
"Lord, wait! Wait!" The people stops him.
"They are captured by lord Sean, he gave them to us to vent but he said that he needs them alive and talking."
Bear stops and approaches the two, staring at them, he raises his foot and stomps on their legs hard, breaking them.
"Hmph! You’re lucky that Sean needs information!" He hisses at them and left.
He lost too much to these people, he might not hold himself back from killing them if he continues to stay there.
"Hmm? Why are you guys following me?" Bear was confused seeing that everyone stops what they are doing and following after him.
"Venting our anger is good and all but there’s a much more important task to do, we’re only venting because we don’t have anything to do."
"Sorry, we just didn’t expect that those bxstards would clean all the mystique creatures in the area, I was searching for them as some of them have body parts we can use for building."
"Yeah, lord Sean was also asking about the same thing, it seems that he wants to talk to you about relocating some mystique creatures into this place."
"I also think that it might be the only decision we can have at the moment." He sighs.
"What type of mystique creatures are you going to release in the area?"
"Our city is known for raising large mystique creatures such as bears, elephants, tigers, etc."
They can’t help but turn to the mystique creatures loading the trees and they can’t deny that they are large.
"There is also a tribe of giants in the area but it seems that they were annihilated by those traitors."
"Are you also thinking of bringing such types to the area?"
"Yes, but I’m also thinking of adding more mystique creatures that are capable of using elemental attacks, having a powerful body is great but, we can’t just waste the resources that are going to grow in our territory once the spirit mine has developed."
The others looks at each other with a happy expression, they are promised a path to martial arts and obtaining great choices for their pet beasts are essentials.
A couple more days passes by and the people are busy every day.
The city was now starting to look like a tiny village, the only thing that Sean doesn’t like about it, is the fact that it doesn’t have a wall to protect it from wild mystique creatures.
"Bear, come here for a second." Hearing his name, Bear, who was hammering a roof stops and dashes towards him.
"I am thinking of helping you guys build a wall for your city."
"What about the space gate?"
"It’s already nearing completion, what we need is for it to charge, after all, it’s trying to connect to two cities."
"Then, I will accept your offer."
"Great! I’m going to use the earth to build the wall, you guys will be responsible for building the defensive weapons that you want to put in it, for this to happen, you guys need to bring me a design, even better, a blueprint of the wall you want me to build."
"I understand, I’m going to talk to everyone about this, I want to hear their advice."
He nods his head, it seems that Bear was slowly becoming a reliable city lord.
A couple of hours later, he returns, bringing with him a couple of scroll.
When Sean lifts the scroll, he can’t help but raise an eyebrow, such a detailed design stuns him.
"I can’t deny it, this is an amazing design, you managed to draw such a thing in just a short notice?"
"No, one of the people I brought here came from City Z19, it was the design for their walls, their city are known for their earth type mystique creatures."
He rubs his chin and said. "I can improve the power of space to prevent any energy-based flying abilities but this would also suppress you."
"Do it! My fighting style is rooted to the ground either way." Bear’s eyes lights up, this was an amazing trait.
"In fact, even if I don’t do anything to the space gate, it would still do this after a certain amount of time, it makes flying using energy difficult, you should try it on our city, you will definitely feel the suppression."
"But I saw you flying in your city." Beat was confused.
"I said it suppresses energy-based flying, not prevent it, you can still fly but it’s harder than before and you need to spend more energy compared to flying normally."
"Still, this sounds good enough for our city, right now, we need to prevent more casualties and tragedies from happening."
"Yes, especially, with the genetic upgrade gunning on something in your territory, there’s probably corpse of an Innate that’s buried here, they would keep coming back here until they obtained it."
"Don’t worry, I won’t let them have their way." Bear promises.
"I believe you but still, just to be safe, I’m letting Liliaghant stay here for a couple of days to plant her Treant soldiers around the forest, once they sensed any threat to the city, they would react and Liliaghant will sense it, hence, informing me."
"I would be grateful for that."
Sean left, the range of the walls are quite large, even encompassing the space gate and he had already built it a distance from the city.
"Osal, let’s work together to build this wall!"
He knows that he can’t do it on his own, especially, since, earth element isn’t his forte.
With the design in mind, the two of them starts working, the entire place starts to shake from the movement of the earth.
Bear watches everything with a pensive thought, he knows that pure physical power can sometimes overpower multiple opponents but there are some cases that this isn’t true.
He was glad that he learned Basic Cultivation Technique, he can help his pet beasts reach their optimum state without risking their lives.
With both physical strength and energy power, they are finally balanced and can now adapt to many situation.
"I think that it’s time for the others to starts their training, as long as they become martial artists, they can carry more tasks." He thought.
They don’t need to worry about food for a couple of months as Jasmine will give them food for the first couple of months.
Once the deadline ends, they need to procure food on their own.
Bear wants to use this opportunity to obtain as much food as possible to train more martial artists.
This wasn’t taking advantage of the Golden Qi Capital’s rule but more so, jumping into the opportunity to grow stronger.
The rumbling continues for five straight days, Sean rested but Osal doesn’t need too, as long as it’s hooves are on the ground, it can’t be exhausted.
The wall appears, it might not be as defined as in the design but some of it’s feature can be found in the design.
Looking at the thick walls encompassing their territory, the people felt safe but also empty, it was just too big, it made the buildings they built look like just some random neighborhood.
"The space gate is now complete, you guys can use it whenever you want but, there might be a couple of days that you can’t use it to go to our city, I’m planning on giving upgrades on the main space gate so that it wouldn’t haywire once it was used repeatedly."
"Our gratitude to you is as high as the sky, hopefully, in the future, our descendants might repay your grace."
"Descendants?"
"Yes, I don’t think that we can repay what you did for us in one lifetime, so, we’re going to make it our mission to always be at service to you and your family."
"Hahaha! That’s good to hear, that means my children won’t be lonely in the future."
"Farewell, Sean, I might not be able to attend your wedding but I’ll make sure Cladiius does, I’ll break his leg if he doesn’t!"
"I’ll see you in the future, I’m sure that you can nurture martial artists strong enough to guard the city."
Entering the portal, he looks at the pathway around him and in an instant, he was back home.
"Now that’s out of the way, I should check the progress of the girls with the regards of their plans."
He can’t teleport with the space gate nearby, so he walks back home, each step he takes would propel him forward with ease.
"Hmm? There are a lot more fox spirits in the city, looking at their attires, they seem to be newly evolved."
In the rooftops, multiple fox spirits were dashing towards multiple parts of the city.
The city is no longer the same as before, with the advent of multiple changes and the rise of spiritual energy, more and more martial artists appears from normal household.
This also causes some chaos in the city but with the deterrent of the law enforcers, they don’t really cause much news.
"Not bad, there are a couple of law enforcers that are of bronze rank."
Law enforcers has a high status inside the city but they don’t really improve as quickly as adventurers as they only receive a fixed contribution points every month.
