Chapter 201: Chapter 201
They use the space gate to travel to Skyhigh City, it was the fastest way to travel to City Z3.
"We’re here, still, I can’t believe that they managed to achieve all of this in just a matter of days."
A thriving city can be seen in front of them, two martial artists that were guarding the space gate kneels in front of him.
No one in their city wouldn’t recognize him, he’s their saviour and symbol of hope.
"At ease, we’re just passing by, we aren’t staying for long."
More flashes of light as the survivors of City Z3 starts appearing one by one.
The large number of people amounting to fifty or so, gathers the attention of everyone.
"Teacher Sean! I didn’t know that you were visiting our city." John arrives riding his griffin.
"Don’t worry, I’m not staying here, I’m just using the space gate to travel to City Z3."
John instantly knew what they are planning and he looks at Cladiius and nods his head in respect.
Cladiius does the same.
"There are actually a lot of survivors from City Z3?" John was surprised, fifty might be a small number, especially in their world but the traitors aren’t really known for their benevolence..
"No, they are some of the people that Bear and his group has rescued and brought to Golden Qi Capital, they are willing to repay his life saving grace by becoming new members of their city."
John’s eyes widens, he glares at Bear, they promised to share and yet they’re taking everyone.
Sean can read his mind and shakes his head. "There are a lot of survivors on Golden Qi Capital, Bear and his group didn’t bring every one of them, these people are willing to come with Bear because they are grateful to them, they also had seen his strength and are confident in living in their city."
John knows that he was warning them not to treat the survivors as just resources, he blushes slightly, he also thought of Prim, it seems that they need to be more proactive when they’re trying to persuade the survivors to live in their city.
With a wave of of his hand, a massive cloud appears, Bear and the others escorts the survivors into the cloud.
Looking at their red faces, he chuckles slightly.
"It seems that all of you are excited, that’s good but after you rebuild your city, are you going to stop working as adventurers!" He asks.
"No, I’m going to lead the people of our city to continue our adventuring days, bringing more survivors, earning more contribution for our zone." Suddenly, Cladiius speaks.
Sean smiles, the ones that made up the most number of their Adventure Guild were Xi Mu and Bear’s group, if one of them decided to stop, the guild’s operation would slow down.
"Good, by the way, Bear, I promised to teach all the city lords Basic Cultivation Technique as a means of investment, you’re the only one that traded yours, how about this? I’m going to build a special Space Gate in this city, one that won’t only connect to our city but also another city, the only question right now is that, which city do you want to connect or you save this favor for the future?"
"No need to save it, I already have a city in mind, Everglazed Witch City, the freezing temperature near the city is the perfect method for body tempering."
"Great! Once we arrive at your territory, I’ll immediately start building the space gate, you guys are currently the only ones that have this special space gate, in fact, this requires more contribution than the Basic Cultivation Technique but I’m still willing to do this since your group has truly done a great contribution for our zone."
Bear’s eyes lights up, this made it easy for their city to grow economically, they don’t need to travel to Golden Qi Capital to travel to Everglazed Witch City, saving them spirit stones.
"By the way, just like what I told to Christine, your city is going to develop spirit stone mine because of the appearance of the space gate and because yours are special and the mine will develop twice as faster than the other cities."
"Hahaha! It seems that our spirit stone mine is only a bit weaker than your city! I’m going to brag it to the others."
"Not exactly, the situation around the Golden Qi Capital is quite special, we can’t develop our own spirit stone mine but the density of spiritual energy in the area will definitely increase."
"You mean, our mine is probably going to be the biggest mine in the entire zone?"
"Not just the biggest but the richest too, that’s why I suggest that you train a couple of survivors to silver rank as such mine will definitely attract a lot of mystique creatures."
Bear can’t help but swallow his words, this is a grand blessing for their city.
"Don’t worry about our safety, once we rebuilt our city and you complete building the space gate, more people will come to our city."
Cladiius was also raring to go, as long as they rescue more people, they will quickly gather more population, increasing the chances of their city in producing more warriors.
"Great, I’ll start building right away, since your space gate is more special than the rest, it requires a more delicate touch, this meant that you guys can’t help me even if you wanted to as we can’t afford any mistakes."
"Understood!"
"Don’t worry, you still have Longshen and Twin to protect you, the two are as strong as Pseudo Innates and they are also immortals, unafraid of pain or death."
With a wave of his hand, the five elemental divine beasts appears, all of them were awe aspiring for the survivors.
Bai and Osal immediately left, they are tasked to find ore veins, even though Sean has carried a lot of materials, he doesn’t want to use them unless necessary.
Minerva stays, she’s responsible for melting the metals and using her special flame to power some of the materials.
Meanwhile, Cladiius and the rest were walking towards the mountain.
"Aren’t you guys going to use pickaxes?" Asks one of the people that wasn’t from City Z3.
"No, we’re going to use only our body, you can say that it’s some sort of training in our city, don’t worry, you don’t need to do it to become a member, besides, we don’t want you to hurt yourself."
"Yes, our city are known for our muscles, that’s why we are using this opportunity to grow stronger." The other survivors explains.
With their pet beast as transport, they don’t need to travel back and forth to their city.
It takes them a day to reach the mountain and that’s only because the non-natives were brought by the pet beasts.
"We’re here! Our city’s training ground!" Cladiius shouts before running towards the mountain and crashing towards it, stunning everyone.
"Do you guys do that too?" One of the non-natives asks, trembling slightly.
They shake their heads, they use their fist and kicks to break the stones, they really don’t use their entire body.
"You guys can start, we’re going to bring a lot of stones back to our city for processing."
"Sir Cladiius-"
"You can just call me captain, I don’t like pretentious title as that."
"Captain, is mining like this truly worth it?" Asks by one of the non-natives.
"No, actually, using tools are much more efficient for normal people but don’t forget, we are martial artists, using physical strength and exhausting our vital force is the fastest way to train without supplements, especially, for someone like me who focuses in body tempering."
The non-natives finally have their answer, it was to boost the training speed.
"Look at them, they aren’t training and only watching, it’s because they are our guards, exhausting our strength might be the fastest way to train but it also leaves us defenseless, remember this, to become a martial artists, you might need talent and determination but to survive in this world, you also need strength and intelligence."
They agree with his words, they pick up their tools and starts mining away, they are just normal humans, so, they can’t compare to that of martial artists but no one was looking down on them, they are helping them to rebuild their home and this deserves their respect.
After a day of toiling in the mountain, everyone was exhausted.
The large pet beasts were carrying the stones back to their city.
"Captain, I’ve heard that you are one of the strongest talent amongst our zone, can you share us your experience in the competition."
Hearing this, Cladiius blushes, still, unlike before, he didn’t let his ego control him.
He shared his personal experience, including his inability to actually go to the finals, the only captain amongst the bronze rankers that failed to reach the finale battle.
Everyone were surprised to hear this, they had seen his strength and can’t believe that he lost to people lower rank than his.
"I ultimate lost to Kommi and Jericho, before, I would had been embarrassed to tell you this but now, this is one of my proudest moment, I’m one of the few people that defeated Jericho in the past."
"Kommi? Wait! You mean that Kommi! The greatest prodigy of our zone!? Our goddess Kommi!?" One of the survivors reacted drastically.
"Yes, that Kommi."
"So, you lost to those abnormal freaks from the Golden Qi Capital, we don’t blame you, still, who is Jericho? This is the first time we heard about him."
"No, you have heard of him, in fact, you guys had already met him."
"Someone from the Golden Qi Capital? You mean Jericho is Wild Beast!?"
"No, he’s the Werewolf."
The entire place becomes dead quiet, the Werewolf, the person that everyone admires and also fears.
"Captain, you fought against, the Werewolf!?" Even his subordinates can’t believe him.
"Yeah, that’s when he was just starting, still, I can’t believe that I fought against the two greatest talent of our zone, defeated as I may be, I always bragged it to John and Witch."
"So, captain, who was the winner in the final battle?"
"Oh, it was Ophria, she was lucky enough to survive until the end, the captains take each other out."
This, once again, turns everyone quiet, they are currently feeling a roller coaster of emotions.
"Dxmn! Oh, I wish to witness that scene, myself." One of them laments, so does the others.
"By the way, so that you guys wouldn’t be embarrassed in the future, I’ll tell you all the students that I had encountered and met during the war of worlds."
Back on the city, Sean was busy building the space gate, not caring about anything.
He only stops after building the base of the space gate.
"Bear! Bear!" After his call doesn’t have any response, he becomes confused.
"Lord Sean, lord Bear isn’t here right now, he’s collecting a very special type of wood that the people of their city used to build their houses in the past."
"No wonder, I just want to ask him about the absence of mystique creatures in this territory, my pets didn’t find any living being in the area."
"We are also asking the same thing." One of the natives scratches his head.
"It seems that the traitors not only demolished your city, they had also killed every mystique creatures in the area, your people definitely resisted to their last breath to cause such reaction."
They are proud to hear this, they are saddened by the death of their people but to hear that they had done a great deal of harm against their enemies filled them with pride.
The non-natives looks at them with envy, unlike them, their city was destroyed like they were nothing.
"Hmm!? Why do I sense a powerful presence nearby?" He’s confused and flashes towards the direction of the presence.
"Hahaha! I can’t believe that those insane cultists are afraid to go to this zone when there’s no Innate in this place."
