Chapter 405: Chapter 405: Dragons Meet

They both moved but before they could clash they found their bodies unable to move.

A blue strings bound their souls like they were puppets. " Soul Art: Marionette." They saw Naledi standing above them.

Both cut the strings using their laws and divine flames but they didn’t continue fighting.

They flew back down while glaring at each other vigilantly. Naledi touched Ved’s face and stroked it gently.

" Calm down my love, he isn’t worth your anger." Her words made Azalon even angrier but he was also wary now.

Ved had demonstrated the ability to threaten him and Naledi had been able to incapacitate him even if briefly.

Both were powerful, he was no longer very confident in being able to defeat them but another realisation hit him.

Azalon realised he might not be as special as he was in his universe, there were others just as powerful as he was.

Of course he didn’t know that both of them were much stronger. The only reason he gave Ved trouble.

Was because he was not only a divinity with a great law but also three whole levels above Ved.

If they had been on the same level, he would’ve been pummeled to the ground by Ved.

They separated and went to their own camps. Soon, everybody felt tremendous pressure coming from above.

They looked up and saw two massive beings descending from above. ’ A dragon.’ Ved thought.

He had once believed he and Linglong were the only two true dragons left in Pangera and at that time he wasn’t wrong.

However that was for Pangera, dragons still existed in other universes and even phoenixes were still there.

The sovereigns stood up to greet the new arrivals. They could all feel the tremendous pressure from those two.

Anglomesh gave them a glance and ignored them. He landed next to Ved and Ved who believed himself large felt like an ant.

This golden dragon had scales larger than Ved’s entire body. He was so large Ved couldn’t even see where his body ended.

Of course that wasn’t the issue of how far Ved can see but the position of the giant dragon.

A massive golden eye appeared in front of Ved as if scrutinizing him. " Good good good, to think out noble race still has such a good seed.

To have been choses as the successor, truly you are an impressive little dragon. I saw you battle with that twerp.

My advice to you child, don’t let the pride of our blood blind you, use your full strength even when facing a worthless thing like that."

Anglomesh said that loud enough for everybody to hear, Azalon and his people gritted their teeth.

But not one of them dared say anything, not long ago, this dragon had a spar with their ancestor.

And the result was their ancestor lost, badly at that. Then he fought the phoenix and lost again even though that was a much closer battle.

That way, Adalei set its place as the number one universe which crushed the spirit of their ancestor.

Losing twice and both times to beasts their people looked down on was too much for his mind to handle.

He had locked himself up since then, so the people of Kaxion understood the strength of those two.

Anglomesh introduced himself to Ved then started talking about the greatness of their race.

’ I guess old people are all the same, even when they’re dragons.’ Ved thought to himself.

" Ask him to teach you about dragon magic, I think that will be very useful to you." Manas suggested.

Ved was about to speak when Anglomesh spoke first. " Come little one, I’ll teach you the might of our race."

He grabbed Ved and flew off so fast the world blurred in Ved’s eyes. They arrived in dark part of the universe.

Even from this distance, the continent of Pangera looked absolutely massive, galaxies were like specks of dust in comparison.

" Show me your dragon magic." Ved nodded, this entire time he hadn’t had a chance to say a single word.

" Explode." A loud explosion like a supernova appeared around them and shook space.

Anglomesh nodded, " Good but you still lack understanding of what dragon magic is meant to be.

We of the dragon race are beings of physical might, our strength is our bodies and all else come second.

I’ll teach you something today, use that same spell but instead of exploding the space around you.

Give the exploding property to any part of your body." Ved was confused, he tried to formulate the right words.

" Exploding fists.":his fist started glowing and he punched. BOOOOOM, space and time shook.

The power was at least 3 times stronger than before even though he used the same amount of mana.

However it came at the cost of his own fist blowing up, all that was left was stump. " I don’t think I want to fight this way."

He ignored the pain, the wound started healing but the process was slow, very slow, ’ I need to upgrade regeneration soon.’

Anglomesh laughed, " It seems the lineage of our race is truly gone from this world isn’t it?

That’s fine, I’ll teach you." Ved stopped him.

" While my wound is healing, can we search for somebody else, another dragon, I don’t exactly know where she is though."

" Another dragon you say?" Anglomesh looked down on Pangera. " Mighty Gaze" he cast a spell.

A bust of light appeared from his eyes and scanned all of Pangera in seconds, that level of power astounded Ved.

Then Anglomesh waved his massive hand and Linglong appeared on his palm, she was much larger than the last time they met.

She screamed as soon as she appeared and fired a bolt of lightning at the hand which obviously did nothing to Anglomesh.

" Rot." She used dragon magic to try and rot the hand of Anglomesh but the spell did nothing.

" To think the lineage of the jade queen still existed." He sounded sad when he said that ignoring the struggling Linglong in his palm.

Linglong finally saw Ved smirking at her, " Ved! Is that you? What’s happening here, who’s this old geezer?"
