Chapter 404: Chapter 404: Foolish Young Master

They floated tens of thousands of kilometres in the sky facing each other. Neither looked tired.

They’re bodies were still pristine as if they were not fighting. " You’re starting to get on my nerves beast."

" What are you gonna do about it?" Ved mocked making Azalon fume with rage. ’ Wow, it’s easy to get beneath this guy’s skin.’

" Fine, don’t blame me for what’s coming, you brought it upon yourself." His spear turned into light.

It became a literal spear of light that burnt and purified the essence around it. " Damn, he’s really not playing."

Ved felt killing intent from this guy, ’ This guy really intends to kill me, is he crazy?’ Ved wondered.

Everybody else watching felt the same except those from the Kaxion universe. To them, Ved wasn’t just insulting Azalon but all of them.

A beast challenging one of their own was a great offense, if Azalon killed Ved, they would protect him.

Ved took a fighting stance, his long white coat fell off his shoulders and floated gently to the ground.

His fingers opened up forming a claw, Azalon took a stance as if he was about to sprint with his spear pointed forward.

Zzap, the sound of lightning pierced through space as both moved. Azalon stabbed with his spear.

’ Strong, it’s would be better to avoid it.’ Ved knew he couldn’t fully block this attack with his scales, at least not in human form.

However that was never his intention, he deliberately limited his own physical strength in this fight.

As a matter of fact he was no longer using the law of might because he wanted to prove something.

Just as his claw was about to clash with the spear of light, a thin black film that wobbled like water appeared in front of his claw.

" Dragon Art: Gentle Fist" the spear clashed with the thin film and pushed it back like it was elastic but failed to pierce through.

" Martial dao." Somebody whispered below and drew the attention of those from the Kaxion universe.

To them, achieving martial dao was something of legends, only those worshipped as martial gods did.

That was for a reason Ved suspected, the Kaxion universe was peaceful and bad no major conflicts.

It’s people train to grow stronger but they’re not desperate, to them, power isn’t about survival but status.

However without adversary, without struggling in battle, one can never achieve martial dao no matter how talented they are.

Azalon was also surprised when he heard that, he had only ever heard of martial dao from legends.

He tried to pull back his spear after realising he couldn’t pierce through the martial art but it was too late.

BOOOOOM, the force of his attack was directed back at him and punched him thousands of kilometres away.

He glared at Ved with rage but there was a hint of worry there. " I admit beast, you’re more impressive than I thought.

However, do not think for a second that you’re my match, I’m a noble prince of Kaxion, I cannot be defeated by the likes of you."

As soon as he said that he lunged again, this time, two ribbons if light appeared and twisted around his spear.

It’s power increased significantly and when he was a dozen metres away from Ved he attacked.

The world seemed to stand still, two twirling beams of light shot towards Ved like a spinning drill.

’ Fast.’ They were moving too fast for Ved to dodge, instead, he changed his fighting stance and his body became lighter.

His arms moved like dancing serpents, " Dragon Art: Roaring Tai-Chi" he gently tapped the drill of light.

His hands were ripped to shreds and the damage went through his arms and stopped on his shoulder.

However he managed to deflect the attack to the side. Then he nodded, " It as I had expected, you’re nothing but a sheltered brat."

" How dar..." Ved raised his hand before Azalon could finish his statement.

" Playtime is over, I’ll show you what battle truly is." Before Azalon could respond Ved had already moved.

" Dragon Art: Cloud And Seas Step." His body flickered and he appeared behind Azalon and punched.

However even that was not enough to overwhelm Azalon’s speed and he blocked the fight. " Ha, you think you can defeat me with that?"

As soon as he finished he felt a tremendous force on his chest. His body shot down like a meteor.

Azalon couldn’t understand what had happened, he was certain he had blocked Ved’s punch.

Only a few were able to see what Ved had done and all of them were impressed. Even Naledi was surprised.

" Dragon Art: Whipping tail." Ved had merely used his tail. That in its itself was not impressive.

It’s how he used it, during their entire battle, he had only used arms and legs thus giving the illusion that was his entire fighting style.

However as soon as Azalon blocked that punch, a whip like tail shot out from behind him.

The tail was faster than any attack Ved had dished out, it was thin, invisible and caused no ripples in the air.

Ved had used the stealth trait, since it wasn’t upgraded yet it was very weak and couldn’t hide from the senses of anybody who had comprehended laws.

That was if they were paying any attention but during battle, your attention would mostly be on what your opponent can use to attack you.

Ved had hidden his tail and not grown it when he turned into his human form so it was impossible for Azalon to expect it.

Azalon flew back up with a bleeding wound on his chest. He glared at Ved with venomous eyes.

" That was a dirty move you beast, you fight without honour!" He shouted but this time, not even his own people supported him.

" Is this guy stupid?" Cat asked without caring if Azalon heard her. Azalon gritted his teeth.

" I think it would be best you go back home, you’ll only be a liability in this war, that’s if you don’t get yourself killed first." Ved warned him.

He wasn’t insulting Azalon but giving him genuine advice but Azalon took that as an insult.

His law avatar suddenly appeared behind him. His power skyrocketed. Ved sighed.

" Fine then." His body transformed and he took his true form again.
