Chapter 400: Chapter 400: Investment into traits

Ancient Dragons were dragons at Sovereign rank and great dragons were divine Dragons like Ved.

Anglomesh was the last ancient Dragon but he was not the only great dragon in his universe.

Adalei still had most of its heritage, in fact the second strongest being in that universe was also from a divine race.

She was the sovereign of the phoenix, even Anglomesh did not want to fight that she demon.

She was hot headed and loved battle even more than him which was ironic considering the natures of their races.

" You were thinking something rude about me you overgrown lizard weren’t you." A giant massive of golden flames appeared in front of him.

Anglomesh sighed, " Greetings to you too Flamel and no, I was not thinking about you at all."

Flamel was who looked like nothing but golden flames shaped as a bird gave him a suspicion look.

" So how’d the meeting go?" She asked, " Was the treaty signed?" She asked and he nodded.

" Good, I wish you would’ve let me attend, I wanted to meet other sovereigns, perhaps one of them would’ve been enough give me a fight."

Anglomesh sighed, his breath shattered stars and dimmed the entire galaxy they were in.

" This is exactly why I didn’t want you to attend, the treaty never would’ve been signed if you were there.

You’re a divine beast and not just any divine beast but a phoenix, a ruler of flames and master of the reincarnation law.

Your divinity plus flames of rebirth makes you nearly unkillable, there’s no sovereign that can match your strength."

He told her but instead of being flattered her flames blazed like she was mad. " Fancy of you to say that when i can’t match you in strength."

He laughed, his deep voice booming like heavenly thunder. " Well I am a demigod, it would be pathetic if I lost to sovereign."

She didn’t argue with that but his statement was not accurate. The two of them grew up together.

In fact, they were born during the rise of those monsters and even when they were young and at the same level.

She was still not able to defeat him, the difference in their strength wasn’t too huge but that minor difference was enough.

" You, what’s you next plan? Will you stay here and let me lead the war against the fallen?"

She asked excitedly but he shook his massive head. " We’re going to need all the strength we can use in this war.

The two of us will go together, we’ll leave a few to guard our home and notify us should anything happen."

She was surprised by that, " Is it that bad?" She asked.

He nodded, " Besides, I do want to visit the home of those two monsters once again, it has been too long since I’ve been there."

She nodded, she agreed with him. They both flew towards the gate. To reach Pangera, they would need to cross 27 universes.

For them, that was not too long, since they stopped to sightsee along the way, it took them nearly a year to get there.

To them who have been alive for billions of years, a year is no different from a mere moment.

To Ved and the others, while it wasn’t long either, it wasn’t to the point of them not even noticing.

During the past year, Nimue woke up, she was glad to see both of her children alive but nearly broke down when she heard about Novak.

She remembered what happened back then, Novak protected them from the blast, more specifically.

The shockwaves since that serpent sovereign absorbed most of the blast to protect everybody.

Unfortunately she was very young as a sovereign and not powerful enough and some of it was able to get past her.

Novak shielded her and Traxy using his earth laws. They held a ceremony for all those who fell.

While things were bad and occasionally both she and Traxy would break down, they were starting to heal.

Most of all, they were training. Nimue who had long stopped worrying about fighting started training again.

Also, during that year, some of their friends came back from their adventures after they heard what had happened.

Ved and Naledi had spent the entire year hunting for him to accumulate as much evolution points as possible.

They had only managed to accumulate up to 104 points. There weren’t many prey around here.

Since the attack of that fallen sovereign, the demonic beasts that survived in the neighboring domains ran.

Still, he figured this was better than nothing, he thought about which traits to upgrade, electric discharge should be there.

With electric discharge he can use his dragon breath at full strength, it should come in handy considering its power.

Especially since he was a divine dragon now. Another option was to upgrade formless shift.

But the formless shift was related to water laws. Unfortunately unlike Naledi he had only comprehended the basic version of the water laws.

As a matter of fact, he had not comprehended it individually. It only came as a byproduct of the law of creation which encompasses all basic laws.

Using it as the base for his formless shift would not be good enough. Anybody with a law ranked higher can still damage him.

He figured it would be better to just use the evolution points to upgrade one of his passive traits.

While they didn’t need to be upgraded, they still can be. What’s even better was that for them.

He can choose how many points he would like to invest into upgrading them and so he started.

Electric discharge unfortunately required 300 evolution points which he supposed made sense.

Considering he could feel the sixth order extinguishing tribulations lightning he faced during his advancement inside him.

The sixth order didn’t look much different from the fourth order at first glance, one was silver and the other pure white.

I guess that one will have to wait, meaning he can only invest into his passive traits for now.
