Chapter 133: Chapter 136: Yes, I Love You [Confession]
"SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!"
Sonia Quincy was speechless. Only the sound of slapping could express her emotions.
With one hand, she lifted Felix Preston’s chin, while the other slapped him across the mouth three times, fast and hard.
One second, Felix Preston was hanging his head in despair; the next, Sonia Quincy had slapped him so hard he was seeing stars.
His eyes widened in a dazed panic, his gaze on Sonia Quincy completely blank.
Sonia Quincy: "Spit it out, spit it out! What nonsense are you talking? ’Useleѕs,’ ’stupid mess’—don’t you ever say such ugly, unlucky words again!"
"..." Felix Preston was completely stunned, with no idea how to respond.
Not that Sonia Quincy was expecting a response from him.
After slapping his mouth, she tenderly rubbed it for him. Then, cupping his face in her hands, she looked him seriously in the eyes and said, "Felix Preston, I don’t want you to get bogged down in these worthless emotions, so I’m only going to tell you two things."
"..." Felix Preston blinked in confusion, which served as his reply.
Sonia Quincy: "First, you are not useless. You are my legal husband, the father of my child, Mom’s only son, and Lynn’s only brother. And your situation is not some stupid mess—it’s a serious matter that our whole family cares about."
"Felix Preston, I know you’re proud, and I know you push yourself hard, but you’re a person, not a steel plate. People get hurt and sick. It’s normal. As the saying goes, ’You deal with whatever comes your way.’ If you’re injured, you focus on healing. If you’re sick, you focus on getting treated. Anxiety and despair won’t change a thing. Only by getting better can you get back to doing the things you want to do and haven’t finished."

"I know." Felix Preston spoke timidly under Sonia Quincy’s intimidating presence. "I won’t give up on moving forward. The goals and standards I’ve set for myself won’t change one bit because of my injury. I’ve just discovered that, ever since I..."
As he spoke, Felix Preston tilted his head slightly, actively nuzzling his cheek against Sonia Quincy’s palm. "Ever since I gained a weakness, I always feel like I’m not doing enough. Not enough, not good enough, and not perfect enough."
"No! Stop letting your imagination run wild!" Sonia Quincy pinched his cheek fiercely and continued:
"Second, I, Sonia Quincy, am not a delicate person, and neither is the child in my belly. Tough flowers don’t grow in a greenhouse. A child of Sonia Quincy has to be able to withstand these kinds of storms. Besides, I’m doing great right now. My appetite is good, I’m sleeping well—I definitely don’t need to be on bed rest, hiding at home doing nothing."
"Felix Preston, don’t treat me like some fragile little flower that can’t handle a little wind and rain."
Her powerful words struck a chord deep in Felix Preston’s heart. Only now did he realize that he had been underestimating Sonia Quincy all along.
Sonia Quincy was anything but fragile. Her strength and composure surpassed that of most men in this world, including himself.
His breath caught, and the dazed, guilty look in his eyes was gradually replaced by fervent admiration and love.
With the lecture over, Sonia Quincy’s gaze softened, and she began to coax Felix Preston like a child.
"Alright now, don’t overthink things, and don’t be sad anymore." She gently squished Felix Preston’s cheeks with both hands, making his lips pout.
"Between a husband and wife, there’s no need to keep score. When you were at your peak, you were the one looking out for me and helping me. Now that it’s my turn to be strong, of course I have to protect you in return. What you can’t do, I’ll do. What you need, I’ll get. We help and support each other. That’s how it should be."
Her gentle, tender words made Felix Preston’s heart feel as if it were stuffed with cotton—it was warm and full, but also choked up and tight.
He looked into Sonia Quincy’s sparkling eyes, and a sudden, inexplicable sense of feeling wronged washed over him.
"Sonia," he called her name in a small voice.
"Hmm?" Sonia Quincy answered with a smile.
He pouted and said pitifully, "My mouth hurts."

"...Pfft." Sonia Quincy couldn’t hold back a laugh, and a light, cheerful smile instantly spread from the corners of her eyes and brows.
"Sorry, I guess I hit you a little too hard." She touched Felix Preston’s lips, then leaned in naturally and placed a kiss on them.
This was the moment Felix Preston had been waiting for.
The fleeting, butterfly-light kiss was over in an instant. Just as Sonia Quincy was about to pull away, Felix Preston grabbed the back of her head and suddenly deepened the kiss.
"Mmm..."
A soft moan escaped Sonia Quincy’s lips. She didn’t even have a chance to react before she was thoroughly overpowered by the wolf in sheep’s clothing that was Felix Preston.
First, Felix Preston bit her, then he pried her mouth open and ravaged it at will.
Halfway through, he suddenly remembered something. Felix Preston released her for a moment, turned his head to press against her sensitive left ear, and said, word by word:
"Sonia, it’s true there’s no need to keep score between a husband and wife. But love is different. With love, you give it your absolute all and still feel like it’s not enough."
"You..." The meaning behind his words was too complex. In her dazed state, Sonia Quincy wasn’t entirely sure what kind of "love" Felix Preston was talking about.
But Felix Preston seemed to read her confusion. Before kissing her again, he said with certainty, "Yes. I love you."
"!!!" Sonia Quincy’s eyes flew wide open.
’Is Felix Preston confessing his love to me? But I’m not ready for this at all!’
She felt she should say something at a moment like this, but Felix Preston gave her no chance. He sealed her lips with his, forcing back all the words she wanted to say.
Only when he felt she no longer had the strength to speak did he move the heated kiss, trailing it from her cheek to behind her ear, then down the length of her long, fair neck, leaving a trail of suggestive red marks.
"...No!"

Just as Felix Preston was tugging open her collar with his teeth and beginning to nibble on her collarbone with clear intentions, she suddenly raised a hand and heartlessly shoved his head away.
"You can’t!"
"Why not?" Felix Preston batted her hand away and buried his head in the crook of her neck again, nuzzling her like a puppy.
"There are no cameras in this private room, and Mom went home, so she won’t be back anytime soon. Why can’t I?"
Sonia Quincy extended a finger and poked Felix Preston forcefully on the forehead, pushing his entire head back.
"Because the doctor said you need to keep your desires in check and focus on healing."
"..." Felix Preston stared with misty eyes, the passion within them still swirling.
Sonia Quincy knew he was a little uncomfortable right now, but she chose not to indulge him.
"Just lie down and sleep. Don’t be thinking about all that nonsense."
"..." Felix Preston blinked but said nothing.
Sonia Quincy yanked the blanket and pulled it right over his head.
"Sleep!"
