After being subjected to that blatant display of affection, Qin Jiao returned to the dressing room and stared at her pouting reflection in the mirror.
Shen Yi suppressed a smile and said placatingly, "Jiao Jiao, I was wrong."
"Shen Yi, I’m starting to think you don’t want to get married anymore."
"I do, I do!" Shen Yi was genuinely afraid Jiao Jiao would suddenly call the whole thing off. ’Losing the clothing factory would be a small matter. Du Liya and Beidou had finished their lovey-dovey moment. Lifting the hem of her own dress, she walked over, only to find that Qin Jiao had already changed. "Oh, what a shame," she said, disappointed. "Xiao Jiao, didn’t you say you were going to let me see?"
Qin Jiao was too embarrassed to admit, ’I was going to let you see, but you two were busy being all lovey-dovey.’ Instead, she said, "I tried on a few. I had Shen Yi take some photos just now, so we can look at those later."
"So which one did you choose?"
Qin Jiao pointed to the last outfit she had tried on. Du Liya nodded, but then turned to get the camera from her son; she wanted Beidou to take a few pictures of her as well.
Then it was time for wedding photos. Du Liya and Beidou had already gotten their marriage license, whereas Qin Jiao and Shen Yi were not yet of legal age to register. Thus, their wedding photo would have to serve as proof of their marriage for now. They agreed, however, to make it official as soon as they were old enough.
There was still much to do for the wedding, and the days flew by in a flurry of activity. Finally, all the preparations were complete. Qin Na and Sun Jianhua arrived in North City with Xiao Cheng, followed by Qin Bogang and his family.
The courtyard house couldn’t possibly accommodate everyone, so Su Yun had found them lodging at a nearby guesthouse. However, everyone gathered at the courtyard house first.
The once-spacious courtyard house was suddenly abuzz with excitement.
Qin Jiao said apologetically to Mr. Du, "Grandpa Du, I hope we’re not being too loud for you?"
"Not at all. Besides, I already know your relatives; we’ve even had dinner together before. However..."
