Chapter 51: Chapter 51. Efficient
The group halted their movements the moment Aiden hinted they should halt.
Aiden had seen something that required they proceed carefully.
A large pond was several kilometers ahead of them. The pond was beneath a very large tree.
There were 100 advanced rank 1, 100 expert rank 1, and 300 legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts in the pond.
The chaotic beasts were all large. All of them looked like sharks with scales.
Shades of ice appeared and disappeared across their figures as they pulled in and out of the large pond.
Aiden, however, noticed that anytime they pulled out of the pond, their scales and skin seemed to gain more texture. From the way these chaotic beasts were harmoniously coexisting, they were most likely a large family. The 300 legendary rank 1 sharks were definitely the guardians of the pack, Aiden concluded.
Aiden also noticed that the tree beneath which the pond rested was bearing fruits at an astonishing pace.
"This is definitely the special pocket world index we needed," Aiden thought. "It’s a natural pond with a highly concentrated amount of worldly energy. This lake’s high concentration of worldly energy and the presence of all these sharks, especially the 300 legendary rank 1 sharks, has increased the energy accumulation in this pocket world. This energy accumulation has exceeded the containment stability of the pocket world’s spatial boundary and has caused the boundary to destabilize, leading to the formation of the gate. It fits the pocket world and gates phenomena completely. This pocket world is a rank 1 special pocket world."

Aiden went ahead to explain what he had discovered to the group.
"What do we do?" Luke asked. How were they supposed to deal with this?
"The lake contains advanced, expert, and legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts. There’s no way we can handle them," Seraphina said.
"Also, apart from the chaotic beasts, the lake itself has to be dealt with. But before that, we need to find a way to deal with the creatures first," Candice added.
"I have expert rank 1 poisons with me," Aiden said. "That would have been enough to deal with the expert rank 1 chaotic beasts and the advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts. But the legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts are another issue."
Aiden was silent for a moment. "I have a plan. We need to leave this place, though, before I initiate the plan. Else we will all die before we know how."
The group headed back. There was a tall tree located very far from the place where the lake was.
Aiden and the group headed towards the tree and climbed it. Up to now, he had not explained his plan to any of them. But after following his lead for the past few days, they had subconsciously started to trust his competence.
After they climbed the tall tree, Aiden took out his expert rank 1 poisons.
They were all gaseous poisons in flasks.
Blobs of blood appeared before Aiden and turned into a large crimson hand.
Everyone silently watched Aiden, puzzled at what this fellow was trying to pull off. Not even the naturally sharp Desmonda was able to figure out what Aiden was trying to do.
The crimson hand shot out of the tree.
Aiden’s eyes narrowed. His vision spread across. He had the pond in which the creatures were roaming about in sight.
The crimson hand proceeded towards the pond and eventually arrived there.
Then, the poisons were crushed. The expert rank 1 poisons spread through the air across the pond.
All the expert and advanced rank 1 sharks spasmed as their skin color grew pale. Eventually, they all turned pale, sickly, and died. Their corpses floated above the pond.
The 300 legendary rank 1 sharks were completely enraged.
They stared at the crimson hand with maddened rage.
"They took the bait," Aiden thought.
The colossal crimson hand divided into several crimson hands and grabbed the 200 dead creatures. The crimson hands shot through the forest with speed.
The enraged legendary rank 1 sharks followed the crimson hands in maddened rage. Not only had this hand killed their kin, it was also stealing their corpses. They would follow it to see who the hand belonged to, and they would kill it.
Their tails formed ice cyclones behind them, propelling them after the crimson hands.
They left trails of frozen trees in their wake.
Aiden’s gaze snapped towards the sleeping basilisk the group had covertly escaped from. It was still sleeping.
The group, on the tree with Aiden, eventually noticed trails of ice darting across the distance. Even from where they were, that kind of commotion was noticeable. Inasmuch as they didn’t have Aiden’s extremely enhanced vision, they could see trails of ice forming across the forest.
The colossal crimson hands eventually arrived at where the basilisk was sleeping. The hands dropped the corpses of the sharks before the sleeping basilisk, turned into blobs of blood, and returned back into Aiden.
As for the legendary rank 1 sharks, they had seen all they wanted to see. This crazy creature was the one behind the deaths of their kin.
They would skin it to death.
Barrages of ice attacks were launched by the ice sharks towards the sleeping basilisk. Eventually, it woke up in anger.
A catastrophic battle ensued between the legendary rank 1 basilisk and the 300 legendary rank 1 sharks.
Colossal ice shards and blades tore across the place as the sharks clashed with the basilisk.
Inasmuch as the 300 legendary rank 1 sharks outnumbered the basilisk, the basilisk fought them all on equal grounds. It was clear that the basilisk was very powerful. If just a few sharks had approached it, it would have killed them in a few attacks.
But the numbers of the legendary rank 1 sharks eventually wore it out.
Very soon, the place turned silent.
The sharks and the basilisk had killed one another.
They were all dead.
"So much blood essence," Aiden thought.
He nodded to the group, who still had no idea about what had actually happened. But they had a feeling Aiden had something to do with the avalanche that had frozen the forest.
Aiden left the tree. The group followed him.
Eventually, they arrived at where all the corpses of the legendary rank 1, expert rank 1, advanced rank 1, and the large legendary rank 1 basilisk were.
They looked around. They saw the discolored corpses of the expert and advanced rank 1 sharks.
Then it hit them.
The crimson hands he formed.
The poisons.
He used them to kill the advanced and expert rank 1 sharks. Then he made use of the crimson hands to bring their corpses to the sleeping basilisk.
In anger, the legendary rank 1 sharks thought the basilisk was behind the deaths of their kin. They fought with the basilisk. In the end, the legendary rank 1 basilisk and the legendary rank 1 sharks killed each other, leaving Aiden to come and reap the harvest.
Chills crawled up the spines of Aiden’s five teammates.
Who the hell was this fellow?
Aiden Vhorn was too terrifying.
Just how could he come up with such a crazy, yet flawless and efficient plan?
As for Aiden, he ignored the looks of shock of his teammates.
He simply absorbed the blood essence of all the creatures.
The blood essences of the 300 legendary rank 1 sharks, the legendary rank 1 basilisk, the 100 expert rank 1 sharks, and the 100 advanced rank 1 sharks flowed into him.
Aiden smiled faintly.
