Chapter 220: Chapter 220 She’s the one who saved me!
"The monster is practically made of rocks! These bullets aren’t able to defeat it! Mine used to work before, but I believe this one is much stronger!" Erick yelled from inside the warehouse, his voice hoarse from shouting.
Sweat streamed down his face as he continued firing round after round, but every bullet merely sparked against the monster’s rocky body before falling uselessly to the ground.
Meanwhile, another gigantic monster blocked the warehouse entrance, cutting off every possible escape route. Unlike the rock monster, this one was invisible to ordinary people. Only those who possessed awakened abilities could see its appearance clearly.
Its entire body was composed of huge layers of pale, quivering fat, but it wasn’t ordinary flesh. Every inch of it seemed dense and almost indestructible. Just like the rock monster, it couldn’t be harmed through conventional attacks.
"We’re really screwed!"
"We’re trapped!"
"We can’t even escape anymore!"
The survivors inside and outside shouted one after another, their faces filled with despair as those outside tried going in but couldn’t as the fat monster was there and they couldn’t even see it egije those inside were dealing with the rock monster.
Just then, Ivy exchanged a glance with Darren. Neither of them spoke as one look was enough for Darren to immediately understand what Ivy intend to do.
The two sprinted toward the warehouse entrance without the slightest hesitation.
As Ivy ran, streams of crystal-clear water surged out from her palms. In an instant, the water froze into dozens of razor-sharp ice spikes while red flames wrapped around each one, causing steam to hiss violently into the air.
Without slowing down, Ivy thrust both hands forward.
Whoosh!
The flaming ice spears shot through the air at terrifying speed.
Boom!!
The invisible fat monster was struck directly in the head. It’s camouflage immediately disappeared, revealing it’s huge bloated body to everyone present and the next second, It’s head exploded making chunks of disgusting flesh and oily fat burst in every direction before the colossal body collapsed to the ground with a thunderous crash.
Silence.
Everyone stared at the scene with their mouths hanging open. One attack...she had killed the monster in a single attack.
Only after the entrance had been cleared did Ivy and Darren rush into the warehouse while more monsters immediately surged toward them from every direction.
Without wasting a second, Ivy raised both hands again.
Walls of water erupted from the concrete floor before instantly freezing into towering barriers of solid ice, blocking the advancing monsters and cutting off several routes at once.
At the same time, countless small blocks of ice floated around her.
With a flick of her fingers, each block compressed itself into a bullet-like projectile while the ice bullets shot through the warehouse, piercing straight through the monsters’ skulls one after another.
Heads exploded one after another as monster after monster crashed onto the ground while the surviving humans could only stare in complete disbelief.
Some unconsciously hugged one another.
Others forgot they were still holding their weapons.
Their eyes remained fixed on Ivy as though they were witnessing a miracle.
"So she’s this strong...."
"She got abilities."
The warehouse echoed with deafening growls as monsters continued falling one after another while the overwhelming scent of rotten flesh mixed with fresh blood filled the air, making several survivors gag.
"Die, you bastards," Ivy muttered coldly under her breath, her expression remaining calm as she continued releasing volley after volley of ice bullets without mercy.
Only after clearing the monsters surrounding her did Ivy turn toward Antelope, who was sitting on the floor while panting heavily.
His clothes were soaked with sweat, his entire body trembled from exhaustion.
"I’ll be the one to distribute the grains," Ivy declared firmly.
Her calm voice wasn’t loud yet every single person inside the warehouse heard it clearly.
Shock spread across Antelope’s face, his pupils shrank, lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
No one dared object not after everything they had just witnessed, no one could question her authority.
Soon, every monster inside the warehouse had been eliminated, their corpses were scattered across the floor.
Just as everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief, the severed hand of the fat monster suddenly twitched and before anyone could react, it shot toward Erick like a spear, aiming straight for his stomach.
"Watch out!" several people screamed.
Erick’s exhausted body refused to move, his eyes widened in horror as death rapidly approached.
Clang!
A silver flash sliced through the air as Darren appeared before Erick in an instant. The sword Ivy had previously bestowed upon him gleamed brightly as he swung it with all his strength.
Slash!
The monster’s arm was cut into countless tiny pieces before it could touch Erick and at the exact same moment, Ivy unleashed another barrage of compressed ice bullets making the shattered hand explode immediately.
The remaining body of the fat monster also burst apart into countless fragments, ensuring nothing remained capable of regenerating again.
Ivy still wasn’t satisfied.
She walked through the battlefield, firing additional ice bullets into every monster corpse she passed. She made absolutely certain none of them could rise again and only then did she finally release a long, heavy sigh
