Chapter 332: Chapter 332: Traveled from 15 Years in the Future

"What else?"

Stella Sterling looked at him and asked.

The little guy in front of her tilted his head and thought carefully. "Also... also, I think I’m not very lucky. I’m really unlucky, so I figure I’m probably going to die today."

Hearing this, Stella Sterling raised an eyebrow.

She was a little curious as to why he saw himself that way.

’Really unlucky?’

On second thought, having to endure a brutal environment like the apocalypse at such a young age was indeed quite unlucky.

But then again, to say he was unlucky...

For a child this young to have survived until now, he was already luckier than countless others.

The little boy continued, "Besides, even my own mom and dad abandoned me because they thought I was a burden. So why would anyone else take pity on me?"

Stella Sterling was a little surprised to hear this.

A child this young couldn’t have possibly survived this long on his own. Someone must have been protecting him.

And she had assumed that "someone" was his parents.

Now that he was all alone, she had thought his parents had died protecting him, sacrificing themselves so he could live.

But from the sound of it, that wasn’t the case at all.

The little boy stopped after saying this. He had said all he had to say; these were the reasons he thought she would kill him.

But after he finished, the person in front of him just stared at him without speaking.

He was a little confused.

’Is she waiting for me to say more?’ He couldn’t help but sigh again. ’This person is so annoying.’

’Making me think of so many reasons.’

Still, the longer he talked, the longer he’d stay alive. So, he thought for a moment and continued, "My parents didn’t want me anymore. Just three days ago, they decided I was a burden. Plus, they were out of food, and feeding me meant one less person could eat. So they left me here and went somewhere else."

"Miss, I haven’t eaten in a long time. I was just so hungry, that’s why I wanted to search your car for something. I didn’t mean any harm. Can you please let me go this one time?"

Finally, he started to beg for his life.

No one isn’t afraid of death, not even a five-year-old child.

Even though he had accepted the reality that he wasn’t going to make it, he still wanted to live.

As he spoke, he reached out a hand and tentatively tugged on Stella Sterling’s clothes. His small face, with its bright, dark eyes, held a pleading look.

Compared to his earlier pitiful act and his initial calmness, he seemed much more genuine now.

Stella Sterling took two steps back, not letting him touch her.

His outstretched hand was left empty. The hope in the little boy’s eyes died out.

He knew she wouldn’t let him go.

Stella Sterling took two steps forward and grabbed his chin with one hand.

The little boy struggled slightly, but after a moment, he gave up.

He knew she was about to make her move. He wanted to resist, but in his current physical state, how could he possibly fight back?

So he simply stopped struggling.

Stella Sterling fed something into his mouth.

After he swallowed it, his eyes became vacant.

Looking at him, Stella Sterling asked, "What’s your name? How old are you?"

The little boy in front of her, his eyes vacant, opened and closed his mouth, answering Stella Sterling, "My name is Andrew Shaw. Age... age five. No, twenty-five. That’s not right either. I’m five... twenty-five."

When it came to the question of his age, he seemed to have short-circuited, spouting one age after another as if he himself was confused.

Hearing this, Stella Sterling narrowed her eyes, a flicker of doubt in their depths.

She had just fed him an Honest Pill from her space.

Anyone who eats it can only tell the truth about themselves; they can’t lie.

But now, this person was saying he was five one moment and twenty-five the next. It was clear he didn’t even know his own real age.

And in a situation like this, there was one possibility...

She looked at him and asked, "Are you reborn?"

"No."

This time, the little boy answered quickly.

Hearing this, Stella Sterling frowned. ’Not reborn? Then his situation is...’

She continued asking, "Did you transmigrate here?"

Besides those two scenarios, she couldn’t think of any other explanation.

A person who had taken the Honest Pill couldn’t lie. This could only mean that five was his real age, and twenty-five was also his real age.

Other than being reborn or transmigrating, she couldn’t imagine any other reason for this.

"Yes."

The little guy in front of her nodded.

Even though she had already suspected it, Stella Sterling’s expression still changed.

She herself was reborn; she never expected to meet someone who had transmigrated.

At this thought, she gave the person in front of her a strange look.

’No wonder he said he was unlucky. It really is unlucky, transmigrating into the body of a five-year-old, and in the middle of the apocalypse, no less.’

’Five years old, with no ability to protect himself. How could that not be unlucky?’

Stella Sterling grew a little curious about this person.

She had originally just wanted to test if what he said was true or false.

Faced with such a little guy, she had been hesitant about how to deal with him.

Just as he said, she wasn’t a good person; she wasn’t that kind.

Although he was just a child, if her car hadn’t been specially modified, he might have succeeded...

One shouldn’t underestimate a five-year-old who had survived this long in the apocalypse. Even if someone had protected him, it was impossible that he didn’t understand anything.

For a moment, she was in a difficult position.

She had made him eat the Honest Pill because she wanted to see if his previous words were true, then ask some other questions to decide whether to let him go or how to deal with him.

But she never expected to get such an interesting answer—a transmigrator...

The questions she had intended to ask before were now replaced by a new line of thought. She changed the subject: "Where did you transmigrate from?"

After taking Stella Sterling’s Honest Pill, the boy had to answer all of her questions, and he was incapable of lying.

He continued, "I came from 15 years in the future."

Hearing this, Stella Sterling’s pupils contracted. She had assumed he had transmigrated from another world, but he said he came from 15 years in the future.

At that time, 15 years from now, the apocalypse would have been going on for over 18 years.

And she herself had been reborn from 7 years into the apocalypse.

That meant this person knew even more about what was to come.
