The retainer is paid regardless of whether the Vanguard accepts missions, provided they remain in good standing with the Empire.

Minor Demonic Presence: 5–15 Gold

Demon Investigation: 15–30 Gold

Corrupted Settlement: 30–60 Gold

Demon Nest Elimination: 60–150 Gold

High-Rank Demon Hunt: 150–500 Gold

National Emergency: 500+ Gold (plus Imperial rewards)

Performance Bonus: Additional rewards may be granted for exceptional service, such as recovering sacred relics, rescuing civilians, destroying high-value demonic targets, preventing widespread corruption, and recovering lost Imperial property.

Bonuses may include gold imperial contribution, noble commendations, equipment vouchers, land grants (Rare), and Titles.

Maximus Grant’s first compensation from his recent involvement with the demons are the following:

Demon Nest Elimination: 60 Gold Coins.

High-Rank Demon Hunt: 150 Gold Coins.

Monthly Imperial Retainer: 10 Gold Coins.

You must reward Maximus Grant with a total of 220 Gold Coins. You may contact the Governor to officially reward him.

This is an Imperial Decree.

Procurement Priority:

Imperial administrations, military quartermasters, and authorized merchants are expected to give reasonable purchasing priority to an Imperial Demon Vanguard during official operations.

This may include priority access to standard weapons and armor, priority purchase of potions, antidotes, purification supplies, and other essential consumables; advance notice of newly available anti-demon equipment or supplies; expedited processing of equipment requisitions.

This privilege does not guarantee availability, nor does it require merchants to sell restricted or privately reserved goods. It only grants priority when supplies are limited or demand exceeds inventory.]

Instead of handing the letter to Max to read it himself, the latter had to wait for a quarter of an hour to memorize every words.
