Aiden looked at the three girls who had just knelt down. One of them was the girl Nathan had a crush on. He remembered she wouldn't even spare him a second glance even in the apocalypse, yet now she was on her knees before him.

"Please, give us something to eat, even just a sip of water..." Suhana begged, folding her hands in front. "I'm willing to do whatever you want. I can be as obedient as your sister! No, I'll be even more obedient!"

The other girls who were still standing looked at them and then at Nathan and joined Suhana. They had seen how much food he had and hoped that if they copied how Nathan's sister had acted, they too would get something to eat.

To them, it didn't matter if they served Nathan or Zayn. As long as they had food and water, they will serve anyone. It seemed the fear of death had snapped Zayn's charm over them.

Aiden turned his head, looking at the three girls one after the other. Honestly, they didn't look bad. If he put them in the brothel, they would surely gain a decent fan following.

But before that, they needed to be taught a lesson in obedience. Thinking of the punishment, a smile formed on his lips. The girls saw it and thought he had taken pity on them and believed they would get food just like Nathan's sister.

Unfortunately for them, the smile disappeared fast. Aiden's face turned cold as he glared at them like they were less than trash on the street.

"Who gave you permission to kneel before me?" he snarled, twirling his kukri. "You only have the right to kneel when I tell you to. If I don't say so, you don't even have the right to be dogs."

The girls flinched. All of them thought the same thing: that for Nathan, there are standards for even being a dog.

Hearing his sharp voice, no one made a sound. The three girls' faces turned white from fear. They could almost feel the anger radiating off Nathan.

Under his cold stare, the girls stood up slowly on shaky legs. They hung their heads low like beaten animals and went back into the crowd.

Watching the farce, some of the boys at the back could not hold it in anymore. There were seven or eight of them and Nathan only had one kukri.

As long as they all attacked him at once, couldn't they just snatch the weapon and food from him? Once that was done, they would humiliate Nathan so much that he would kill himself.

Emboldened by the thought, a bunch of them stepped up. One boy who always stayed close to Zayn pointed at Aiden and yelled.

"Nathan! What exactly do you want from us? Just because you have a weapon and food does not mean you have the right to bully us!"

As the boy said it, looking all righteous, Aiden couldn't help but notice his shifting gaze towards the sling bag on the table. It still had lots of food inside, and he clearly wanted a big share of it since he was risking his life.

"Since you brought food back, why are you doing this to us? We are all from the same college. We were classmates! Do you have to be so cruel?"

"Yes! I admit we were wrong before!" Another boy chimed in. "But we had to send someone out to get something, as it was necessary!"

They waited for Aiden to say something, but he just stayed still, staring at them expressionlessly. The people thought he was feeling overwhelmed and kept piling on.

"Everyone was starving. If we did not send someone, we would all die! Someone had to go. It was just bad luck that it was you. You can't just use the food you found for vendetta—"

"Vendetta?" Aiden scoffed, genuinely baffled that even after pushing Nathan to his death, they had enough balls to act so righteous. "If it was a vendetta, I'll be playing soccer with your severed heads."

"…you think those threats will work against us?" the same boy yelled. "I'm telling you… You should be generous and—"

"Generous?" Aiden laughed. "I am being generous. It's you people who can't show their sincerity. But it's fine, I'll give you an opportunity."

As he said that, he did not even look at the boy who spoke. Instead, he looked straight past everyone to Zayn in the middle of the group.

The moment their eyes met, Zayn flinched. He used to look tall and powerful. But seeing Nathan again in such a manner made his face pale.

However, that did not stop his long-pending humiliation ritual. Aiden raised his hand and pointed one finger right at Zayn's face.

"You all want food? I can arrange that," he smiled. "Make him crawl over to me like a dog and beg for mercy. Then we can talk about sharing."

As soon as he said it, Zayn's eyes grew wide with shock and rage to the point that veins popped out on his forehead.

"You bastard! Don't even think about it!" Zayn roared, turning towards the rest of them. "Don't listen to him! He is tricking us! Even if I kneel, he will not give any food! This guy just wants revenge. I'm telling you!"

Zayn was not dumb. He knew Nathan hated him more than anyone. If he knelt, he would lose all the reputation he had now that they were too scared to fall for his charm.

Aiden laughed at the interesting show unfolding before him. He knew Zayn still had some authority over the people, so he did not argue with words.

He reached into the sling bag and took out a few packets of jerky. As soon as he did, everyone's eyes followed the packets. Many people swallowed their saliva, staring into Aiden's hands like a bunch of dogs waiting for their treat.

"Here you go, sister," he said, tossing the packets to her.

She held the packets tightly and looked up at Aiden in surprise.

"Are these... for me, brother?"

"Of course! Unlike them, you are obedient, so you get a reward."
