Chapter 273: Battle Robot Manufacturing Plan
Silva had been tirelessly working since the end of the Heavenly Dragon incident, overseeing the management and arrangement of the Heavenly Dragon captives and organizing the resources acquired from the Heavenly Dragon.
Basically, he was responsible for handling almost all matters on the Dawn, large and small, and it was no wonder he was exhausted.
Nevertheless, he also enjoyed his role in the midst of all these tasks.
At the moment, Silva was in his office, dealing with a disturbance caused by a captive from the Heavenly Dragon.
"What’s the name of this guy?" he asked.
"Ellen," Silva replied, visibly irritated. "His attitude is extremely arrogant."
Waldo raised an eyebrow, amused, and said, "That’s ridiculous! This is the Dawn, not the Heavenly Dragon. The Heavenly Dragon has already sunk! How dare he act so arrogantly in front of us? He really doesn’t know his place!"
"Immediate execution!" Silva ordered.
"Yes."
Just then, Silva keenly sensed someone’s presence. He looked up to see Waldo, who had appeared beside him at some point. Silva had no idea how long Waldo had been standing there. However, he was used to Waldo’s mysterious ways and didn’t let it bother him.
"Oh, look who decided to leave the comforts of his chamber! Are you here to console us hardworking folks?" Silva teased, looking at Waldo with a mix of amusement and sarcasm.
However, he couldn’t be bothered to pay it any mind.
Silva was a straightforward and jovial person. His personality was quite compatible with Waldo’s temperament.
Waldo then proceeded to explain his purpose directly, "I came to tell you that I plan to select a group of high-level survivors from the Dawn for special training."
Silva looked puzzled and asked, "Why?"
Waldo went on to inform Silva about the matter concerning the super stealth destroyer. Initially, Silva was surprised but managed to maintain his composure. However, when he heard the details about the Invincible Ship, he could no longer contain his excitement and disbelief.
"Is this for real? You’re not pulling my leg, are you?" Silva couldn’t believe it.
Waldo shrugged and replied, "Come on, when have I ever lied to you?"
Silva nodded, realizing that Waldo wouldn’t deceive him. However, he couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by the incredible power of the super stealth destroyer.
"That’s just crazy!" Silva exclaimed.
Silva naturally didn’t oppose Waldo’s proposal. He raised both hands in agreement, saying, "I’m all for it! How many people are you planning to select?"
"About twenty should be enough," Waldo replied. His idea was to assign twenty crew members to the Invincible Ship and create a batch of combat robots to be stationed there.
The Invincible Ship would be Waldo’s trump card and needed to have the most powerful combat force. In the future, the Invincible Ship would bear significant and challenging missions that flesh and blood alone would find difficult to endure, so the team couldn’t be too large.
Only combat robots are the most suitable. Someone like West is not only good at combat but also possesses many other skills and high intelligence.
Upon hearing this, Silva raised an eyebrow and voiced his concern, "Only twenty people? Isn’t that too few? I understand that these people will be trained and assigned to the destroyer. However, with such a small number, it might be difficult for the destroyer to fully utilize its true potential."
Silva’s concerns were not without merit, but that was because he wasn’t aware of the existence of combat robots. Therefore, Waldo quickly explained, "Don’t worry; I have other arrangements. In addition to these twenty people, I plan to manufacture a batch of combat robots. They possess various knowledge and skills and can handle most tasks. More importantly, they are more reliable and powerful than humans!"
"Combat robots?" Silva was surprised. There seemed to be many mysteries surrounding Waldo, and he always had something up his sleeve.
Subsequently, Waldo handed over a list to Silva. "These are the materials needed to manufacture combat robots. Currently, I have a good amount of core components, but I’m lacking a lot of A-alloy and S-alloy."
Last time, we acquired a considerable amount of resources from the Heavenly Dragon. Let’s check if we have those alloys in stock. If not, we can request contributions from all the survivors on the Dawn. The more, the better.
Waldo didn’t want to go to the trading platform because his reputation had taken a hit, and there were too many people criticizing him.
Most likely, even if they had the materials, they wouldn’t trade with him. Fortunately, the spoils we obtained from the Heavenly Dragon should be enough.
"Alright, consider it done!" Silva nodded firmly.
Shortly after Waldo’s departure, Silva immediately began collecting the necessary materials. In fact, the spoils obtained from the Heavenly Dragon included these resources, but they hadn’t been sorted yet. With the orders in place, Silva quickly gathered a significant amount of A-alloy and S-alloy.
To manufacture one combat robot, you needed 100 units of A-alloy, 100 units of S-alloy, 500 units of steel plates, and an energy core. Soon, these essential materials were delivered to Waldo’s location, and Waldo was quite satisfied with the promptness of Silva’s actions.
Silva’s organizational skills were commendable; he managed to deliver the resources in less than half an hour. Waldo then shifted his focus to the task of manufacturing the combat robots.
At this moment, Alanna and Helen were both engrossed in understanding the changes in their own strength, so they had little time to spare for other matters. Even with the survivors’ levels and abilities significantly improved, a combat robot force would still be a formidable addition.
Waldo believed that even at his current level of 60, dealing with such a combat robot force would be quite challenging. Paired with the super stealth destroyer, it would become even more terrifying. He eagerly anticipated the arrival of that moment.
With unwavering determination, Waldo threw himself into the manufacturing process of combat robots.
"Come forth, combat robots! This time, I will create an extraordinary force!"
Waldo’s eyes gleamed with resolve as he put various materials into the manufacturing system.
"Initiate the creation of one combat robot!"
The materials he had just put in were just enough for one combat robot. It didn’t take long before a dense white fog enveloped the area in front of him. From within the mist emerged a tall, imposing combat robot, exuding an aura of dominance.
Upon seeing this combat robot, Waldo felt a surge of joy. This robot was nearly identical to West, which meant that creating a powerful force was entirely feasible. As soon as the robot emerged, it quickly locked onto Waldo and strode confidently toward him, then knelt down on one knee.
"Greetings, Master!" the combat robot buzzed with its robotic voice.
"Good! Very good! Excellent!" Waldo exclaimed with delight. This robot seemed to possess high intelligence.
Waldo continued, "From now on, you will be the sword in my hand, and you can’t be without a name. However, there will be many of you in the future, and naming each one would be troublesome. How about this, I will name you ’One’ based on the order of your creation. Is that acceptable, One?"
As Waldo spoke, he directed his gaze toward One.
One replied, "No problem, Master. Being given a name by you is my honor."
Satisfied with One’s response, Waldo nodded and waved his hand. "Stand aside for now. I need to create more combat robots, and you can watch."
One moved to the side as instructed. At this point, Waldo began manufacturing more combat robots.
"Create another five combat robots!" Waldo ordered and inserted 500 units of A-alloy, 500 units of S-alloy, the corresponding quantity of steel plates, and energy cores into the system.
Instantly, another burst of white fog filled the space in front of Waldo.
This time, the white fog generated was even more extensive, filling almost the entire room. Shortly afterward, five massive combat robots with powerful and imposing strides arrived before Waldo.
These robots not only appeared tall, formidable, and full of strength, but they also looked handsome with high aesthetics.
"Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish!"
Following this, the five combat robots knelt before Waldo.
"Greetings, Master!"
Waldo nodded in approval. "Alright, your names will be Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six! Understand?"
The five combat robots responded in unison, "Yes, Master!"
However, this was just the beginning. Initially, Waldo had planned to create a combat robot force of at least a hundred individuals, and he had enough resources to support this ambitious endeavor.
"Now, let’s create ten combat robots at once," Waldo decided. However, when he issued this command, the system informed him that he could only create up to five combat robots at a time.
"What? There’s a limit like this?" Waldo was taken aback.
With no other choice, he proceeded to create the robots in batches of five. Each batch took approximately fifteen minutes to manufacture.
Within an hour, he had produced twenty combat robots. To reach his goal of creating a significant number of combat robots would take five to six hours, a substantial amount of time.
Despite the repetitiveness and time-consuming nature of the process, Waldo did not grow impatient.
Each new combat robot brought him a sense of achievement. As time continued to pass, Waldo lost track of its duration. However, outside the room, someone was growing anxious.
