Chapter 272: New rulers
Not long after, Waldo returned to the side of Alanna and Helen.
"Waldo, what did you find when you checked the supply crate? Last time, you opened a platinum-grade supply crate and got a yacht. This time, it can’t be too bad, right?" Alanna eagerly asked, unable to contain her curiosity.
Before he could answer, Helen had a hunch that the results wouldn’t be disappointing. Waldo seemed to be in a very good mood, with a natural smile on his face.
"Waldo, what’s inside that supply crate? You seem genuinely happy right now. Just tell the truth, don’t lie," Helen inquired, getting straight to the point.
Waldo couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
"Indeed, Helen, you’re the cleverest one here, and you’ve already figured it out. That’s right, when I opened this supply crate, it contained a big surprise!"
Alanna, feeling slighted, responded indignantly, "Waldo, what do you mean? Are you saying I’m dumb?"
Waldo quickly realized he was in hot water and apologized profusely to Alanna, defusing the situation.
Helen, still amused by the earlier squabble, finally got back to her initial question, her curiosity piqued. "So, what exactly did you find?"
Waldo’s expression became more serious as he answered, "A super stealth destroyer."
"Huh?"
"A super stealth destroyer? What’s that?" Alanna and Helen both looked puzzled. They knew what a destroyer was, but "super stealth" was something entirely new to them.
Waldo patiently explained further, and their expressions soon changed.
"All its performance metrics are top-notch? It’s a state-of-the-art tech ship from a year in the future? And it can go invisible? Not just from radar, but even from human eyes?"
"This is unbelievable!"
The two women were left stunned by the incredible news.
Amazement gave way to excitement, and just like Waldo, they became incredibly thrilled at the revelation.
Doesn’t this mean that from now on, no one will dare to bully us anymore? With this warship, our strength has probably received a significant boost!
Exactly! If we were as aggressive as the recent rumors suggest, from this moment on, we might be able to conquer half of the Noah’s Ark, as some have speculated. But we’re not as fond of violence as those rumor mongers suggest! They should be grateful for that!
At this moment, rumors about Waldo were still spreading like wildfire on the chat channels. If those people were right, Waldo, with his super stealth destroyer, would sweep across the world invincibly.
However, Waldo wasn’t that kind of person. As long as no one provoked him, he wouldn’t actively start trouble. The saying goes, "Don’t trouble others, and you won’t be troubled."
"Come on, I’ll take you to have a look at the warship!"
Waldo then led the two women to explore the super stealth destroyer. The ship had a futuristic vibe, not only in terms of aesthetics but also in its formidable capabilities. Both women were in awe.
"From now on, we don’t have to be afraid anymore," Alanna sighed.
Helen nodded in agreement. "That’s right, with this super stealth destroyer, we’re practically invincible. Of course, as long as we have enough weapons and ammunition!"
"By the way, does this destroyer have a name, Waldo?"
Waldo shook his head slowly. "No, why don’t you come up with one?"
Helen was indeed considering giving it a name.
After thinking for a moment, Helen suggested, "How about we call it the ’Invincible Ship’?"
Waldo contemplated for a moment. "Invincible Ship? Not bad, Helen, you finally came up with a sensible name."
"Great," Waldo nodded in agreement.
And so, the name for the super stealth destroyer that would stir up terrifying storms in the future was decided: the Super Stealth Destroyer, "Invincible Ship."
After visiting the warship, the three of them returned to the Dawn. Alanna and Helen were preparing to level up. Their preparations to reach level 60 were impeccable, making this upgrade almost a sure thing.
Soon, waves of energy fluctuations began to emanate from both women, growing stronger over time. Going from level 50 to 60 was a challenging journey, but the improvements were significant. Each surge of power represented an upgrade in their physical attributes and abilities.
Waldo watched nervously on the side. Although he tried not to show it, he was actually quite concerned. He feared that something might go wrong during the process. However, everything seemed to be going smoothly.
Not long after, Alanna and Helen opened their eyes one after the other. The energy fluctuations that had been surging around them had completely subsided.
"How did it go?" Waldo asked, curious and a little anxious.
"We did it!"
"I succeeded too!"
Alanna and Helen nodded in perfect harmony.
Waldo let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "That’s great!"
Alanna and Helen’s successful promotion meant that the Dawn now had two more rulers at level 60. Up to this point, there weren’t many survivors who had reached level 60.
Each Noah’s Ark had only a few, primarily among those who controlled the Ark. For the Dawn, gaining two additional level 60 powerhouses was a significant boost in strength.
Normally, this kind of achievement would be cause for celebration, especially considering that Waldo was the de facto leader of the Dawn, and the presence of two level 60 rulers would greatly benefit the faction.
However, Waldo was not one to seek attention or celebrate personal achievements. He consulted Alanna and Helen, and they all agreed not to make a big deal out of it. They would let the survivors on the Dawn discover this naturally.
Waldo reminded them of the difference between level 60 and level 50. Level 60 represented a significant increase in power and speed.
That’s why they were called "rulers," as there were very few who could challenge level 60 rulers when they had such an advantage. The transition held many nuances that they needed to explore and adapt to.
Waldo respected their need to familiarize themselves with their newfound strength, and he left them to their own devices.
Afterward, he sought out Silva.
