Chapter 259: Battleship

Without waiting for them to finish speaking, Waldo pulled the trigger directly.

Bang!

Bang!

In two loud shots, the two individuals were shot in the head.

Waldo said coldly, "Once the location of the Dawn was exposed, there’s no way I’ll let you go! Hoping for a way out? Wishful thinking!"

Then, he glanced at the bodies on the ground.

Clean it up.

Soon, several members of the Dawn Security Team dragged the three bodies outside and cleaned the floor.

During this time, Waldo and Silva went to another room.

It was the room of Honda, one of Japan’s three rulers.

Now, it had been transformed into a meeting room for the Dawn Security Team.

At this moment, Waldo had gathered several squad leaders of the Dawn Security Team, as well as the stronger survivors from the Dawn.

Including the level 60 ruler.

After everyone had gathered, Waldo got straight to the point and explained what had happened earlier!

In other words, the battleship Heavenly Dragon would be arriving soon. By then, none of us will have anywhere to run! The battleship’s artillery will turn everyone here into ashes!

Waldo’s words immediately caused a stir among everyone!

Another Noah’s Ark? The Heavenly Dragon battleship? Battleships like that are considered ancient relics, right? They’ve long been retired by naval forces worldwide!

Although battleships are considered relics, dealing with us would be a piece of cake for them. You see, we don’t have any means to deal with a battleship!

"That’s right. Battleships have numerous large and small gun barrels. A single volley, and we won’t even know how many of us will die!"

"So, what should we do? We can’t just sit here and wait for our doom, can we?"

"Sigh, I thought that coming to Noah’s Ark would mean a peaceful and stable life, where we wouldn’t have to worry about survival anymore. I never expected this to happen now."

"Let’s see if there’s any way to resolve this."

When Waldo called everyone together, it was already dark.

They were initially somewhat unwilling in their hearts. After all, it was so late, and everyone needed rest. They hadn’t expected the situation to turn out like this. At that moment, everyone in the room was wide awake.

They began speaking in low voices, their faces showing worry and concern about the future of the Dawn. Compared to the Heavenly Dragon battleship, the Dawn was like a toothless little lamb, ready to be slaughtered. The Heavenly Dragon, on the other hand, was a fierce and predatory wolf.

"The crisis is approaching, and I hope everyone can contribute. That’s the only way we might survive this crisis. Otherwise, we’ll all become slaves of the Heavenly Dragon, and I believe none of you want to go down that path," Waldo said.

Waldo’s words were understood by everyone. If the Dawn were to be taken over, then all of them would become slaves of the Heavenly Dragon, to be used and abused. Some might even be grateful to their oppressors for sparing their lives.

This was a situation that no one wanted to see.

Soon, everyone began expressing their opinions, sharing their ideas and viewpoints, engaging in heated discussions about their defensive strategy. After a round of discussions, they finally reached a consensus.

Silva spoke in a deep voice, "The best defense is a good offense! Everyone agrees on this. It’s better to take the initiative than to wait for death."

"It’s nighttime now, and our visibility will be low, leading to many difficulties if we attack. However, the darkness is also our best cover. We can approach the enemy’s battleship and launch a surprise attack!"

"So, why don’t we split into two groups? One group deliberately exposes themselves to draw the enemy’s attention, while the other group sneaks onto the enemy’s battleship from a different direction and takes them down from within!"

Waldo nodded slightly in agreement with Silva’s proposed plan. He found it quite reasonable.

There weren’t any better options in such a short amount of time. Once the Heavenly Dragon battleship got close to the Dawn, even Waldo wouldn’t be able to protect himself alone. This was not the outcome he wanted. Therefore, they had to take the initiative, and it had to be an internal strike.

Quickly, they held a vote, and the final result was clear – almost everyone voted in favor. Following this, Waldo swiftly issued orders, gathering all the survivors with significant strength on the Dawn and forming two teams.

One team was responsible for drawing enemy fire, while the other was comprised of formidable fighters. Essentially, the strongest survivors were in this group, and they would be the main force attacking the battleship.

"I’ll follow the second team and infiltrate the battleship," Waldo said.

Soon, they organized the teams. The first team was led by Silva, and the second team was directly led by Waldo. They gathered all the available small boats on the ship, which had previously been scavenged from supply crates on land.

Then, everyone set out.

Before departing, Waldo informed Alanna and Helen of the situation. The two women were deeply concerned because they were not facing ordinary enemies but a battleship with formidable firepower.

Alanna couldn’t help but say, "Take me with you. I have the ability [Healing]. In case you get injured, I can help heal you. This way, our chances of conquering the battleship will be higher."

"I’m with her, Waldo. You can’t leave me behind this time," Helen quickly added. "Finding a battleship in the vast ocean isn’t easy. But I can control the Titan Orca, and with its special hearing, we can locate the battleship’s position."

Waldo pondered for a moment. Even though he didn’t want to take the two women on such a risky mission, their arguments made sense. Whether it was Alanna’s healing ability or Helen’s control of the Titan Orca, both could play crucial roles in assisting him.

Waldo hesitated for a moment but ultimately agreed to let the two women accompany him. However, he warned them sternly, "You both must be extremely cautious. Once the battle starts, I may not be able to protect you."

In the darkness of the night, with the sea breeze blowing and the sound of waves all around, the survivors on the small boat remained silent.

On the yacht, Waldo whistled, and a massive killer whale leaped out of the water and then plunged back in. By this time, they had been sailing in the darkness for over two hours, almost reaching midnight and approaching the early hours of the next day.

Waldo turned to Helen and asked, "How far are we from the battleship?"

Helen closed her eyes, apparently communicating with the Titan Orca. Soon, she received the relevant information, opened her eyes, and replied, "The message from Titan Orca is that in the nearby waters, there is a larger vessel heading in our direction. It’s most likely the Heavenly Dragon battleship." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Upon hearing this, Waldo flew into the sky.

This action immediately drew exclamations from the many survivors below. It was their first time seeing Waldo fly, and they were witnessing someone with the power of flight for the first time. It was truly envy-inducing.

Once Waldo flew into the sky, he indeed spotted a distant light – the Heavenly Dragon battleship.

Waldo snorted disdainfully and then returned to the sea level to command the survivors aboard the Dawn.

As per their earlier plan, they divided into two groups: one would approach from the front to attract attention, while the other would circle around from behind.

"Did you all understand?" Waldo asked.

"Received!"

"Received!"

"Received!"

Meanwhile, aboard the Heavenly Dragon battleship, the battleship’s captain, Drake, stood on the warship, using binoculars to observe the distant sea.

"Heh, the Dawn, here I come!" Drake smirked confidently.

He was a trusted subordinate of the Alpha Wolf and the Black Wolf. This mission had him serving as the captain of the battleship, leading the expedition against the Dawn.

Beside him, his vice officer spoke with flattery, "Captain, this mission against the Dawn is sure to be a cakewalk. Once we succeed, Captain, you’ll undoubtedly gain even more favor with the Alpha."

Drake proudly replied, "Of course, who do they think I am?"

However, his vice officer reminded him cautiously, "But Captain, I think we should be cautious. After all, they’ve already detected our reconnaissance team. They might have leaked information. We should be careful."

Drake waved it off dismissively, "No problem. Even if they know we’re coming, so what? Just a single Dawn. They don’t have any warships. In our eyes, they’re like lambs waiting to be slaughtered. Nothing to fear!"

His vice officer nodded reluctantly. Then, he raised his binoculars and casually scanned the distant sea. However, this casual glance made his eyes widen in alarm.

"Captain, you need to see this. There are people in the distance!"

Hearing this, Drake was taken aback and quickly raised his binoculars to look.

In the dark of the night, seven or eight speedboats were rapidly approaching the warship. Each of these speedboats was armed with seven or eight survivors. From the direction they were coming, it was clear that their target was the warship itself.

"What’s going on? Where are these people from? The Dawn?" Drake raised an eyebrow.

These folks were incredibly audacious. Did they really think they could take on their battleship with just a handful of people? This was nothing short of a futile endeavor.

"Ridiculous, truly ridiculous!" Drake’s face showed a hint of disdain. "All I need to do is give the order, and these small boats will be engulfed in cannon fire."

It seemed like these people were already aware of the battleship’s existence, but could that change anything? With just a few individuals, they wouldn’t even be able to penetrate a single layer of the battleship’s armor.

Captain, what should we do now? Should we deal with them?" the vice-officer asked.

Drake nodded and replied, "Of course. However, they haven’t entered the optimal attack range yet. Let them get closer before we open fire."

"Yes, sir," the vice-officer agreed.

He chuckled afterward. "They really have a death wish, coming straight toward us."

He then informed everyone on the battleship to stay vigilant and keep a close eye on the approaching yachts.

However, as the yachts closed in on the battleship’s optimal firing range, they suddenly came to a halt and quickly dispersed. Then, they brought out various mortars and rocket launchers, aiming them in the direction of the battleship.

The distance was still considerable, so the accuracy of these projectiles was quite poor, with few of them actually hitting the battleship’s hull. Nevertheless, one projectile did manage to land on the battleship.

Although it caused minimal damage, Drake was incensed.

"Attention, everyone! Open fire! Eliminate them all! They’re underestimating us and asking for death!" Drake ordered angrily.

These people truly had a death wish. They had the audacity to initiate an attack first, clearly underestimating the battleship’s firepower.

If that’s what they wanted, then so be it.
