Chapter 242: Preparing to board

The pressure on everyone suddenly intensified. Clearly, the mega-tsunami was getting closer and closer to them. For the survivors who hadn’t obtained a boat ticket, it was akin to death looming over them! They became even more desperate and frantic.

Some people were on the verge of losing their sanity. They were willing to do anything for a ticket, consequences be damned. Otherwise, they were faced with a dead end. However, things were far from over!

Half an hour later,

Rumble!

The earth trembled once again. The ground cracked, and the city was reduced to ruins, devoid of any signs of life. Even the trees in the forest were affected, contorted and fallen to the ground.

"What was happening? Didn’t an earthquake just happen half an hour ago? Why was there another earthquake now, just half an hour later? "

"Exactly, what was happening deep in the ocean? From a scientific perspective, earthquakes were caused by plate collisions, but this collision didn’t seem like a typical one! "

"This is absurd! We can forget about living in houses now; we have to sleep out in the open!"

"Sigh, surviving in this world is incredibly difficult!"

At this moment, many people couldn’t help but sigh.

Then, shortly after this earthquake ended, in less than an hour,

Rumble! Rumble!

Another earthquake erupted, surpassing all previous ones!

Waldo’s expression became solemn. This earthquake, at the very least, was of magnitude nine, something most people couldn’t stand upright through.

"It’s strange, why are there so many earthquakes all of a sudden? Could it be because the tsunami is about to arrive?"

"It’s likely so," Helen said.

Having experienced multiple earthquakes in succession, the two women were no longer as frightened as they were at the beginning; they were much calmer now.

Alanna also nodded. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

With so many earthquakes, at this frequency, I believe it’s a precursor to the tsunami’s arrival. Perhaps it won’t be long, maybe just one or two days at most, before the tsunami comes!

Waldo nodded slightly. It’s likely that’s the case.

"I’m going to check the current situation!"

As Waldo finished speaking, he soared into the air, reaching several hundred meters high. While in the air, he wouldn’t feel the trembling of the ground like on the surface. However, Waldo could see the vast changes happening between heaven and earth much more clearly and dramatically.

At this moment, numerous rivers were divided by enormous canyons that extended over a considerable distance. The rivers poured into the canyons. In addition to this, Franklin Mountains collapsed one after another.

Previously, only a small part of Franklin had collapsed, but now it was quite common. The taller and steeper mountain ranges quickly crumbled. Countless rocks tumbled down, crushing countless trees. This world was undergoing a rather severe cataclysm.

Two hours later, another earthquake erupted. Twenty minutes later, another earthquake occurred. Half an hour later, the earthquake struck once again. Unbeknownst to the survivors, they had become numb to it all.

"The earthquakes kept happening from time to time, and I feel like I’ve gotten used to it. No matter how it shakes, all we can do is wait. As for what we’re waiting for, I can’t really say."

"Hahaha, now we’re just waiting for the tsunami to come. When that happens, we can board the Noah’s Ark! By the way, we still don’t know what the Noah’s Ark looks like!"

"Hehe, we still have time to waste here chatting, but do you guys know that right now, countless people are fighting tooth and nail to grab fourth-level boat tickets?"

"Exactly, getting a ticket at the lowest level is incredibly difficult! What’s more important is that many people are destined not to get a ticket. Survival of the fittest! Strength rules! That’s how cruel this world is!"

"It’s unavoidable, after all, Noah’s Ark is not the mainland, and it has limited capacity for passengers!"

At this moment, many were discussing.

They had all secured tickets. Therefore, they weren’t particularly worried about the future.

Just then, the system suddenly issued an announcement.

"Dear survivors, the super tsunami will arrive in 12 hours! Please, all survivors with tickets, board the corresponding Noah’s Ark! This is your only way to survive in the face of the super tsunami!"

"The boarding time is three hours before the tsunami’s eruption, which is nine hours from now. The boarding process will only last for half an hour. Please, survivors, keep track of time and don’t miss it!"

"Please, all survivors, within the next nine hours, follow the map instructions and make your way to the seaside to board the Noah’s Ark."

Rumble!

The system’s announcement was like a bombshell that set off everything. The super tsunami was finally on its way!

At this moment, some were overjoyed, while others were in despair!

The reason for their joy was that they had boat tickets. They wanted to board the Noah’s Ark to take a look, have some fun. Moreover, boarding the Noah’s Ark also meant they wouldn’t have to face zombies, and they could finally get a good night’s sleep.

"Tsunami, come quickly, I’m ready!"

Some were looking forward to it.

However, more people were filled with worry and fear. Some might even say they were in despair.

"Damn it! What a lousy system! Why did it only issue so few tickets for so many survivors?!"

"Yeah, when the tsunami comes, how are we survivors without tickets supposed to survive? Are we just left with the option to wait for death?"

"It’s unfair, very unfair!"

"System, screw you!"

Although I’m desperate too, I still want to advise everyone not to act too rashly; it won’t help. Tickets are already gone; we can only save ourselves! Everyone, please think of a way to survive!

"Save ourselves? Save a damn thing! I’m going all out; no matter what, I’m getting a ticket! Those who have tickets, watch out, I’m coming with a knife!"

As the boarding time approached, everyone descended into their final frenzy. For the survivors who hadn’t obtained boat tickets, there was no time more despairing and helpless than now.
