Perry Yates looked at the card on the table, a little tempted by its spatial attribute.
However, the card’s ability was indeed one-way—exit only, no entry. So, Perry Yates guessed this card must be one of a pair.
Perry Yates leaned back in her chair, crossed her legs, and folded her arms, her posture seeming to say, ’Since you’re not serious about this deal, let’s just forget it.’

With that, Perry Yates made a show of getting up to leave.
Seeing this, the woman stopped her. "Wait. I do have the other card, but... it’s a two-star card."
Hearing those words, "two-star card," Perry Yates finally understood why the woman hadn’t brought it out earlier.

"I can trade you other cards for it, but you’ll have to add something to make up the difference in value, because..."
Perry Yates placed a two-star Earth Attribute Skill Card on the table.
The moment she saw the card, the woman’s eyes lit up. "Deal. I also have a one-star Skill Card and a one-star item card."

The woman understood.

After returning to her room, Perry Yates used the Teleportation Gate to go back to the fourth floor of the bar.
She took out the four cards. Two of them were identical in every way except for their attributes and star-level.
One was entry-only, the other exit-only. One was a Moon attribute, the other a Sun attribute, and their second attribute was the same: spatial.
"Well, whatever. Let’s try an Ascension first."
A flash of white light later, Perry Yates had performed an Ascension on the one-star card, raising it to two-star.
Just then, something magical happened.
The two two-star cards suddenly began to attract each other. The next second, they snapped together like magnets.
With a flash of purple light, the two cards actually fused into one.
The attributes of the fused card had changed. It now had three attributes: Sun, Moon, and spatial.
Its ability had changed as well.
Any Door: able to travel to any location within line of sight.
This function seemed a bit redundant with her Teleportation Gate.
However, the Teleportation Gate could take her to any place she had been before, while the Any Door could only take her to places she could see.
Comparing the two, the Teleportation Gate was the clear winner.
However, its ability would probably improve with further Ascension, but Perry Yates had no intention of doing that right now.
She went to her fifth-floor workshop, where she had placed the Card Furnace.
The Card Furnace could fuse two cards of the same level.
Looking at the card in her hand, Perry Yates wondered what would happen if she fused it with a Wood Attribute card—ideally, a Wood Attribute card that also had a spatial attribute.
A card like that would be hard to find, but she could wait.
’Since it’s my own card, it has to be the best.’
After putting the card away, Perry Yates took out the remaining two cards.
There were two cards: one Skill Card and one item card.
The front of the Skill Card showed a picture of poker cards. Looking at its attributes... it had none?
’No, wait, it does have an attribute, but it’s almost transparent. That’s why I didn’t notice it at first.’
After carefully sensing the card’s Skill, Perry Yates’s expression gradually turned strange.

This card was supposedly a one-star card, but it was actually a five-star card. The reason it appeared this way was because it was currently incomplete.
According to the information from the card, to fully activate it, she needed to fuse it with six different four-star attribute cards.
In other words, she had to sacrifice six four-star cards of different attributes to get one five-star card.
Perry Yates placed a four-star Water Attribute Card and a four-star Fire Attribute Card in front of the poker card.
The next second, the two four-star cards dissolved into streaks of blue and red light that shot into the poker card.
As the two lights merged with it, the originally one-star card instantly became a two-star card.
"Four attributes left... what should I choose?"
Although Perry Yates had plenty of Ice Attribute cards, ice and water shared the same origin, so now that she had used water, she didn’t plan on using ice.
Besides, she had already fused with an Ice Attribute card herself and didn’t want to choose an attribute that duplicated her own.
’Oh well, I’ll take it slow. There’s no rush.’
The last item card was a lipstick. After applying it, kissing someone would allow you to control them for five minutes, but it was ineffective against people with strong willpower.
After putting the cards away, Perry Yates went down to the first floor. The person from yesterday hadn’t arrived yet, but she wasn’t concerned.
She instructed the butler, "Butler, keep an eye out for any spatial attribute and Wood Attribute Skill Cards for me."

Not long after Perry Yates went back upstairs, the bar’s main doors were slowly pushed open. Tate Joyner walked in from outside, his face weary, but his eyes blazing with feverish excitement.
Walking up to the bar, Tate Joyner pulled ten white cards from his coat. "I want that two-star Flame Fist Skill Card."
The butler smiled. "That’s certainly not a problem, but I will need to inspect these cards first."
"Fine, but be quick about it," Tate Joyner said, his tone urgent.
After confirming there were no issues with the cards Tate Joyner had brought, the butler’s long, gloved fingers tapped the tabletop. A two-star card radiating intense heat appeared on the surface.
"The card is now yours."
