Chapter 17: Revenge

’Looks like only one battle tonight,’ Enzo thought as he looked at Violet.

There was no other choice. That fight had been far too intense.

He guided Violet back to the upper floor.

Only then did he notice George, who had just finished his own battle.

Instead of stopping, George seemed determined to keep fighting as he walked toward another cell.

Enzo couldn’t help but watch his fight.

Even as a Fake Awakener, George was undeniably powerful, fighting like a savage beast.

He possessed a perfect balance of speed, strength, and defense.

So this is the power of a Human Dragon. Of course, this was only the fake version. So just how terrifying was the genuine one possessed by Rebecca Morgan?

His opponent was only a single Level 3 Goblin.

After exchanging blows countless times, George finally managed to stab the Goblin through the heart, killing it.

The price, however, was obvious.

George collapsed onto the ground, completely exhausted, gasping for breath.

"Enzo! Did you hear me?" he suddenly shouted.

Enzo was taken aback.

Why was he calling him?

"Don’t pretend you can’t hear me! Bring me some water. In return, tomorrow I’ll have Nicolas and the others do your work," George shouted again.

Enzo rolled his eyes.

So the man was simply too exhausted and wanted a drink.

Since Enzo worked in the prison, George naturally saw him as someone convenient to order around.

But if he helped, it would be no different from obeying George’s command.

He sneered after realizing that.

George was a sly man. There was every chance he would go back on his word.

So Enzo remained seated, quietly watching him.

"Enzo, you bastard! Are you deaf?" George yelled again.

He even sat up and glared coldly toward the guard post.

"You piece of trash! You’re a nobody! So what if I failed to Awaken too? Unlike you, I can still fight while all you do is clean this prison."

’Looks like he’s really gone half-crazy,’ Enzo thought. ’Maybe that power has twisted his mind beyond repair.’

Naturally, being shouted at over and over irritated him.

He immediately took control of Violet and sent her to this floor.

"Just wait, Enzo! Don’t think you’ll have a peaceful life here! And your cousin Bella... sooner or later she’ll be mine. Her father will hand her over to me! Hahaha..."

Enzo: "..."

Not only did his own expression darken, but Violet’s expression turned cold as well.

A glass bottle abandoned by one of the beginners happened to be lying on a nearby bench.

Violet picked it up and hurled it straight at George.

It flew through the gap in the cell bars and struck him squarely on the head.

Bang!

The bottle shattered, instantly snapping George back to his senses.

For a brief moment, fury flashed across his face as he looked at Violet.

But the moment their eyes met, his anger seemed to vanish.

"Do you want me to sew that mouth of yours shut, brat?" Violet asked coldly.

George didn’t dare answer.

Even so, he couldn’t hide the rage burning in his eyes.

Several people who had just arrived witnessed the entire scene.

George wasn’t the only one who had decided to continue fighting that night.

Others had made the same decision.

Moments later, George’s lackey, Nicolas, arrived carrying a massive war hammer.

"Why are you so quiet now? Weren’t you screaming your lungs out just a moment ago?" Violet mocked.

The onlookers remained silent, watching Violet openly berate George.

But Nicolas suddenly stepped forward.

"Miss, please forgive my friend. He drank too much earlier. Please don’t mind whatever offensive things he said," he said politely.

Regardless of George’s condition, Nicolas clearly didn’t want to appear useless in front of him.

After all, George’s father was a mayor, and his aunt was an extremely powerful Awakener.

Yet Nicolas instinctively took a step back the moment he finished speaking.

The icy gaze Violet turned on him made his heartbeat slow.

Smack!

She slapped him so hard that his head snapped sideways.

His entire body tilted with the force, nearly sending him crashing to the ground.

But she wasn’t finished.

She drove a kick into his chest, launching him backward until he slammed heavily into the wall.

How could Enzo possibly let this chance for revenge against Nicolas—the one who had mocked him the most—slip away?

"You’re quite bold, using me to entertain your master. What a loyal dog you are," Violet said with a cold smile.

Bang!

She kicked Nicolas in the stomach again.

He immediately vomited, his face turning as pale as a corpse.

Everyone watching froze in disbelief.

No one had expected Violet to be this ruthless.

The worst part was that she seemed unbelievably intolerant.

She showed absolutely no mercy for even the slightest offense.

Nicolas, completely powerless to resist, could only tremble.

One slap.

Two kicks.

Only after that did Violet turn her attention back to George.

"Too scared to come out?" she sneered.

George hadn’t dared answer even before.

Now, after witnessing what had happened to Nicolas, he remained silent.

Still, he couldn’t stop clenching his fists or grinding his teeth.

Suppressing both his rage and his pride was no easy task.

Violet said nothing else.

She simply continued walking away.

Everyone instinctively stepped aside to clear a path for her.

No one knew just how satisfied Enzo felt at that moment.

He even wanted to burst into laughter.
