The ceremony grounds that had been packed with hundreds of pack members just minutes ago now looked like a ghost town.
Only a few wolves from the Amber Pack and Blackwood Pack stayed behind, along with cleanup crews taking apart what was left of the ruined mating ceremony.
Selina’s eyes were red and puffy, her voice shaking. "Zack, why did the ceremony have to stop? Don’t you want me as your Luna anymore?"
Alpha Zack rubbed his temples. He looked completely drained. "Selina, Alpha Enzo, we need to figure out this video situation before we do anything else."
He didn’t say he believed her. But he didn’t say he didn’t believe her either.
Alpha Zack was smart enough to see the big picture. His future Luna couldn’t be known as a bully.
The damage to their pack’s reputation would be huge. Both families’ businesses would suffer.
He had no choice but to cancel the mating ceremony.
Alpha Zack’s father, Alpha Jimmy, agreed with him completely. "Alpha Enzo, Zack’s right. We need to investigate this properly."
Hannah stood nearby. She could barely hide how happy she was. "Investigate what? Everyone saw the proof!"
Her mother was gripping her arm tight. Otherwise Hannah would have run after Elara to celebrate.

Hannah had always known Selina was cruel, but this was worse than she’d imagined. The woman was evil. Finally she was getting what she deserved!
"Hannah, be quiet!" Alpha Jimmy ’s face went dark. He snapped at his niece for the first time all day.
Alpha Jimmy understood the situation better than anyone. The Amber Pack and Blackwood Pack were allies now. "Investigation" really meant giving Alpha Enzo time to control the story and limit the damage.
Once today’s guests went home, the pack gossip would spread everywhere fast.
The Vance family’s stock prices would crash. Blackwood Industries would get hurt too.
Alpha Enzo looked deeply worried. "Alpha Jimmy, I’ll handle this myself. I won’t let my daughter be destroyed by lies. You have my word."
Selina felt heartbroken. Her dream mating ceremony had turned into a nightmare. Anger burned in her chest. "Zack, don’t you believe me?"
Alpha Zack had no patience for comfort right now. "Selina, I didn’t say I don’t believe you"I just want to clear your name."
The real message was clear: Only if you’re actually innocent.
Selina understood exactly what he meant. She bit her lip until it hurt. "I understand, Zack. I’ll prove I’m innocent."
Selina followed the Amber Pack members back to the Vance family house. Her expensive wedding dress dragged behind her.
Hannah rolled her eyes hard.
[Prove her innocence? Good luck with that. The evidence was right there for everyone to see.]

Alpha Jimmy looked furious. This was the first time their pack had been embarrassed so badly in public.
Hundreds of people had watched the whole mess go down.
Their reputation was ruined.
"Zack, I never really liked this marriage idea anyway." Alpha Jimmy sounded tired and angry. "The Amber Pack isn’t even top tier. You could have picked someone better."
"Selina has always been known as a spoiled brat in our circles. Turns out it’s way worse than that. She’s got serious problems." Alpha Jimmy shook his head.
"Dad, this has to be some mistake. Selina and I grew up together. She wouldn’t do stuff like this."
Alpha Zack couldn’t connect the sweet little girl from his memories with the mean bully in those videos.
He didn’t want to believe it was real.
Alpha Zack was about to say more when Alpha Jimmy ’s phone rang.
"Yeah." Alpha Jimmy answered roughly.
"Jimmy! Hey there! Heard your son got married today! Something went wrong though, right? Everyone’s talking about it. You know me, I don’t like rumors. I come straight to you for the truth.?"
Alpha Jimmy ’s face got red. He slammed the phone down hard.
"Perfect! Just perfect! Now everyone knows! Old friends calling to laugh at us!"
"That jerk! I’m so angry I could scream!"
Alpha Zack didn’t say anything. What could he say?
Alpha Jimmy pointed at Zack, his voice booming with Alpha power. "Figure this out right now! The Blackwood Pack will NOT have a criminal for a Luna!"
