After her latest plan failed completely, Selina couldn’t face Alpha Zack or tell her father what happened. Alpha Enzo had already given her a serious warning after her last mistake.
Even though she had something to blackmail Sam with, Selina still felt nervous and scared.
"Selina , you’re spacing out again," Anthony said with worry in his voice. "You’ve been weird all week. What’s wrong?"
Selina shook her head fast. "I’m fine. Just nervous about getting married in two days."
"That’s nothing to worry about," Anthony smiled, trying to cheer her up.
Selina tried to smile back. But her stress was obvious.
Anthony smelled her anxiety and closed her bedroom door. His playful mood changed to serious mode.
"Selina , something’s definitely wrong. Just tell me what it is. I’ll fix it for you."
Anthony... could he really solve this problem? Selina wasn’t sure, but in their family, he was the only person she really trusted besides their father.
"Anthony, I do have a problem." She took a deep breath. "Can you promise this stays secret between us?"
Seeing how scared she looked, Anthony’s protective side kicked in. "Of course. You’re my sister. My only sister. Family comes first."
Selina told him everything. All her failed schemes, the blackmail, how Sam was threatening to tell everyone.
Anthony’s face got darker as she talked.
"Elara just won’t give up, will she?" Anthony’s voice was tight with anger and protective fury. "Don’t worry, Selina. Nothing will ruin your wedding. I’ll handle this."
Selina looked at her brother’s face, trying to see if he really meant it. "You can actually fix this? This is serious stuff."
"Trust me completely. I’ll find the right people to deal with this problem for good. You just focus on being a beautiful bride." Anthony sounded totally confident, like he already had a plan.
Selina finally felt some relief. "Thank God for you, Anthony."
At least now she could sleep before her wedding.

Elara had no idea what Selina was using to control Sam.
Even when Alpha Dominic sent his best people to make Sam talk, using everything from nice words to serious pressure, Sam wouldn’t say anything.
"Forget it," Elara said finally, sounding tired. "Just file the lawsuit. Let the courts handle it."
She had to admit, Selina was really good at finding people willing to do her dirty work.

On the wedding day, Alpha Zack left his family house right on time, wearing his formal wedding clothes.
Marcus looked around at all the pack members and wedding party, looking confused. "Zack, wasn’t Hannah supposed to come with you to pick up the bride? Where is that girl? Off hiding somewhere again?"
Alpha Zack’s eyes were cold, his voice flat. "Marcus , don’t bother looking for her. I have my groomsmen. If she doesn’t want to come, she can do whatever she wants."
His cold tone made several pack members look at each other with worry.
Everyone knew Hannah and Alpha Zack used to be close. Her missing such an important family event clearly meant something bad had happened between them.
The truth was, Alpha Zack was scared Hannah would show up and make a scene.
The ceremony was scheduled for nine-thirty sharp. Alpha Zack climbed into the lead wedding car. "Let’s move."
They couldn’t afford to be late. The Vance family had planned this down to the minute.
It was Saturday morning.
The drive from Alpha Zack’s estate to Vance Manor usually took about thirty minutes.
Wedding processions typically took scenic routes to make a grand entrance, but today they needed to stick to schedule.
But from the moment they pulled out, traffic was inexplicably heavy.
Maybe it was just Alpha Zack’s imagination, but every red light seemed to drag on forever today.
As nine o’clock approached, they’d only covered half the distance. Zack’s Alpha instincts were screaming warnings, but he couldn’t pinpoint the threat.
"Is there an alternate route?" he asked tersely.
The driver checked his GPS. "There is one, Alpha Zack, but that stretch gets a lot of commercial truck traffic."
"Take it. Just drive defensively."
What were the odds of getting into an accident on his mating day?
"Yes, Alpha Zack," the driver said, recalculating the route.
The entire wedding convoy followed the lead car onto the truck route. Alpha Zack’s driver was pushing the speed limit, trying to make up for lost time. Several aggressive drivers cut into their formation, scattering what had been a perfectly coordinated procession.
The videographer riding in one of the trailing cars called Alpha Zack, frustration clear in his voice.
"Alpha Zack, you need to ease up on the gas. The other cars can’t match this pace. The footage is going to look like a high-speed chase instead of a wedding procession."
He hung up and told the driver, "Slow down. They’re falling behind."
That’s when a small electric bike came racing straight at them from nowhere.
The driver’s eyes went wide. Acting on pure instinct, he turned the wheel hard to miss the bike. They crashed straight into a concrete barrier on the side of the road.
The crash threw Alpha Zack forward. His head hit the back window hard. He made a low sound of pain.
The driver turned off the car and spun around, his face white with fear. "Alpha Zack! Are you okay?"
A big bump was already growing on Alpha Zack’s forehead. He shook his head, trying to clear his vision. "I’m fine."
The driver got out to check on the bike rider.
Luckily, no one was badly hurt.
The rest of the wedding cars slowly caught up, pulling over one by one.
Alpha Zack got out too. The front of the main wedding car was completely smashed. They needed a new car.
Someone stared at the injury on Alpha Zack’s head with worry. "Alpha Zack, should we take you to the hospital? That looks bad."
Alpha Zack looked at his watch. No time. Transfer the flowers and decorations. I’ll take the second car."
When they did a quick headcount, they discovered the rear guard vehicle had also been sideswiped by a passing truck during the chaos.
There was no time to call in backup cars from the estate. Their original sixteen-car procession was down to fourteen.
His groomsmen exchanged uneasy glances and picked up on the tension in the air.
A major accident on mating day?
In werewolf tradition, it usually meant the Moon Goddess was sending a warning.
But about what?
