Chapter 2014: Chapter 2018: Striking Gold

Seeing his appearance, Leng Zirui stopped teasing him and hurriedly took off his coat to drape it over him, trying to keep him warm.

"I need to meet with Ah Ke. You go get ready, and we’ll contact each other later. The security system here isn’t very tight, but you should still be careful."

"Alright." Leng Zimo nodded, "I’ll just go and meet with Ah Jiu and the others to make some arrangements."

The two brothers agreed on a time and place. Leng Zimo returned the coat to him, and Leng Zirui patted his shoulder, reminding him to be careful.

Leng Zimo concealed his figure, and Leng Zirui turned to leave the morgue, taking his subordinates with him.

In a moment, the staff came in to help handle Roselia’s body. While they were not paying attention, Leng Zimo quietly slipped out of the morgue and quickly left the cemetery.

...

...

London, England.

In Donnie’s small second-hand shop in the slum, Donnie swiftly wielded scissors in front of the mirror.

Soon, Jiao Yang’s long shoulder-length hair was cut short, and then he took out some colored hair product to dye Jiao Yang’s hair into an exaggerated shade of blonde.

Looking at Jiao Yang in the mirror, Donnie smiled with satisfaction, "This should definitely work, now go take a shower!"

Jiao Yang stood up and walked into the bathroom, and moments later emerged wearing a T-shirt and jeans that Donnie had prepared for him.

Donnie glanced at him, then grabbed a pair of vintage-style sunglasses from the shelf and tossed them to him, "With this, even your mom wouldn’t recognize you at first glance!"

Raising his hand to catch the glasses, Jiao Yang put them on and turned to look in the mirror.

Blonde short hair, a casual outfit, exaggerated earrings on his ears, and large sunglasses covering most of his face... Even he found his own appearance a bit unfamiliar.

"Donnie, thank you!"

Turning to Donnie, Jiao Yang wore a grateful expression.

"I’m glad you still remember a friend like me." Donnie passed him a backpack from the table, "Inside there’s a passport and a plane ticket. Don’t worry, this passport is so good, not even the FBI could tell it’s fake. Good luck, my friend!"

"Thank you!" Taking the bag, Jiao Yang opened his arms and embraced him briefly, "Goodbye, my friend."

Leaving Donnie’s shop, he hailed a taxi and headed straight for the airport.

Upon entering the airport, he indeed saw familiar bodyguards talking with security.

As he expected, after finding out Jiao Yang had fled from home, the Duke of Kent had immediately used his influence to take control of the airport.

The United Kingdom being an island nation meant that flying was the quickest way to leave.

However, Jiao Yang was well-prepared, using a fake passport, getting a haircut, and changing his appearance, along with those big sunglasses, even the bodyguards failed to recognize that the man with the exaggerated blonde hair casually passing by was their elusive future duke.

With the fake passport Donnie prepared for him, Jiao Yang smoothly passed through airport security and boarded the plane to Beijing.

Not until the plane took off did he remove the sunglasses from his face, lifting his wrist to check his watch.

By now, it had been a few days since Luo Xiaoqian got into trouble. Had Leng Zimo successfully rescued her by now?

Recalling how she tearfully refused Leng Zimo on the cruise, Jiao Yang raised his hands, tightly gripping his hair, and slowly bowed his head.

"Xiao Qian, I’m sorry!"
