Chapter 504: Chapter 332: Total Mobilization

The Razor Warrior combat team was steadily advancing within the Patrol Station, leaving a river of blood in their wake. From a distance, it looked as though a crimson carpet had been spread out, and every Razor Warrior’s military boots were soaked with the blood of the beasts.

As the ground troops regained control of the Patrol Station, the tactical bombing unit also made its way across the dome of the sky.

Apart from the beasts that burst through the breach in the Celestial Gate Patrol Station’s walls, there was a massive number of beasts surging outside. Using manpower alone against them was clearly not worthwhile, so it was time for weapons of mass destruction to take center stage.

A tactical bombing squadron made up of 16 aircraft crossed the boundary of the Celestial Gate Patrol Station. The bomb bays beneath the aircraft opened, releasing a dense rain of bombs that whistled like celestial birds as they sliced through the air.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!" Flames burst forth in succession, dazzling the eye with searing flashes. Pillars of fire rose ten meters high across the wasteland, transforming into billowing black smoke that climbed skyward, resembling countless black demonic claws reaching out.

Given how tightly packed the beast swarms were, the carpet bombing truly thrilled the pilots.

The beasts charging at the Celestial Gate Patrol Station were obliterated, flames consuming every affected life, reducing them to charred carcasses. Weaker beasts were vaporized outright.

In the aftermath of the bombing, the wasteland was shrouded in smoke and filled with charred craters, stretching furrows crisscrossing the torn earth, with not a single living beast in sight.

The destruction of the beasts on the wasteland meant that there was no longer any additional pressure on the Celestial Gate Patrol Station.

With the last beast falling in battle, the strategic outpost was once again under the control of Hegemony Company forces.

Upon receiving the news of the Celestial Gate Patrol Station’s liberation, Xie Zongchang immediately left his underground shelter and surfaced.

The Patrol Station was in chaos. Some of the original garrison who were still able-bodied helped dispose of the beast corpses or assisted their comrades. Others sat in corners, covered in blood, dazed and unable to recover mentally from the bloody battle.

Xie Zongchang jogged over to the Hellfire Captain, overflowing with passionate gratitude, extended his hand with a smile, and said, "You arrived just in time! Thanks to you, we avoided a major disaster!"

The Captain glanced at the offered clean hand and did not take it, simply asking, "What happened here? Why were there so many beasts?"

Xie Zongchang, unable to elicit enthusiasm from the other, awkwardly pulled back his hand, filled with helplessness: "I don’t know either. I’ve been at Celestial Gate for years and never seen anything like this."

At this moment, the Captain’s wristband emitted a notification sound, signaling an incoming holographic communication.

He switched it on, and the light projected from the wristband intertwined in midair, forming the half-body image of Yang Fuchai.

Xie Zongchang greeted him warmly, "Director Yang, hello, hello, your team has done an incredible job this time, everything is resolved."

Yang Fuchai’s deployment of the Hellfire Squad bypassed the normal processes of the Crisis Management Center, using his director’s authority for direct mobilization instead.

For the Hellfire Squad executors, they only knew a mission had been assigned from above, unaware of the process, or that the operation was unauthorized.

Thus, at this moment, in front of "outsiders," Yang Fuchai and Xie Zongchang needed to act amicably.

Looking at Xie Zongchang’s fake smile, Yang Fuchai held back his urge to berate, giving a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "As long as it’s resolved. The Hellfire Squad will temporarily remain at the Celestial Gate Patrol Station to provide protection during your defensive wall reconstruction."

"Additionally, they will be responsible for identifying the source of this beast disturbance and eliminating it promptly."

Xie Zongchang responded fluently, "We will learn from this incident, remain alert, and ensure such events never happen again!"

The Captain beside him could only roll his eyes.

While Xie Zongchang and Yang Fuchai exchanged pleasantries, an emergency communication arrived for the Captain from the tactical bombing squadron.

The Captain answered, "What’s the situation?"

The Commander of the tactical bombing squadron sounded tense, even trembling, "Razor, we’ve completed the bombing mission and are on our way back, currently 11.7 kilometers outside the Celestial Gate Patrol Station."

"Something’s not right. I’ve never seen anything like it. You need to see this for yourself."

The bombing squadron transmitted the images captured by their surveillance equipment, projecting it midair through the imaging module.

The bombers were at high altitude, with a vast view, capturing the entire expanse of the wasteland below.

The scene presented now left everyone utterly astonished.

First to catch the eye was the towering dust storm, surging skyward like an enormous wall, veiling the sky and consuming the extending shadow on the ground.

The creators of these dust clouds were none other than the beasts, an endless sea of beasts.

They surged across the land, densely covering the horizon, their numbers exceeding the upper detection limit of the surveillance equipment, the dust kicked up by their movement forming the terrifying sand barrier.

These beasts, though belonging to various species, seemed drawn by something, not fighting among themselves but instead rushing in a unified direction. Their scales reflected blinding sharp light like waves, their pairs of red eyes emitting a light darker than blood.
