Chapter 174: Chapter 135: Dual-Attribute Skills, Level 3 Warrior

Looking at the shield from his Earth Shield Skill, which hadn’t yet vanished, Lin Mo once again activated Giant Shield Charge. He plowed through them like a semi-truck, sending a dozen more Goblins flying.

Its quality might not be as good as a solid, physical Shield, but it won in convenience, as he could create one anytime he needed.

Surprisingly, the increase this time wasn’t 2 points in Constitution, but 1 point in Constitution and 1 in Strength.

This was likely due to the skill’s specific properties.

Not all skills within a Profession’s system exclusively increased the Main Attribute.

For example, some Ranger skills could increase Strength in addition to Agility, and most Mage skills could provide a small boost to Spirit on top of Magic Power.

At lower Professional Levels, these kinds of skills weren’t very popular. Since the total number of attribute points from a skill was fixed, a skill that boosted two attributes would grant fewer points to the profession’s Main Attribute.

For example, a Warrior Apprentice could normally advance after mastering a single skill, thanks to the attribute increases it provided. However, if they learned a Dual-Attribute Skill, they might fail to advance because their Strength Attribute was insufficient. They would then have to learn an entirely new skill, which was a waste of time and effort.

If they had no money or connections to get a second skill, their path as a Professional could be cut short right there.

But once they became a full-fledged Professional, especially after reaching a certain level, they had to consider shoring up their weaknesses.

Although Agility and Constitution could both increase the potency of one’s Qi and Blood, thereby enhancing skill power, an Assassin or Knight with overly weak Strength would still be at a significant disadvantage at times.

The same was true for other professions. A Warrior who was too slow could be kited, while one with low Constitution would be too fragile to hold the line.

These problems could all be remedied by learning Dual-Attribute Skills.

Therefore, for High Level Professionals, skills that boosted two attributes were extremely valuable.

In Lin Mo’s case, however, it made no real difference whether he had such skills or not.

Those were some luxurious Attributes.

Points of Strength was considered quite high for a Level 3 Warrior, and his Agility and Constitution were approaching the equivalent of Level 3 in their respective attributes.

This gave Lin Mo a boost of confidence for the coming battle.

His Spirit was still in great shape; using an enhanced version of the Earth Shield Skill one more time shouldn’t be a problem.

Lin Mo once again created an Earth Shield, aimed it toward the densest cluster of Goblins, and activated Giant Shield Charge.

With a dull thud, another group of "lucky" Goblins was sent flying, getting a taste of what it felt like to fly.

Lin Mo braced himself, then charged once more.

The two charges took out nearly thirty Goblins and got his Earth Shield Skill to Level 4.

Earth Shield Skill was now only one level away from evolving.

Overall, Lin Mo was very satisfied with the Earth Shield Skill. It was useful for both offense and defense, and he had even discovered a few special applications for it, which was a pleasant surprise.

Closing the panel, Lin Mo glanced to the side. An Assassin was hurrying toward him.

Its skin also seemed to be a darker shade than the previous ones.

The Bronze Goblin let out a series of low growls, seemingly under no pressure at all.

Snapping back to his senses, he quickly made his move. A bolt of Lightning shot out, striking the Goblin square in the face.

You couldn’t use another skill to steal your own kill, but you could certainly use one to steal someone else’s.

And a major kill like this had to be given to a skill that was both powerful and difficult to level.

The high-cost Thunder Strike Skill was the perfect candidate.

A full 25 points of Skill Level was enough to instantly raise Thunder Strike Skill to Level 3.

Lin Mo got up and looked back the way the arrow had come. The distance was too great, and with Goblins swarming everywhere, it was impossible to see where the attacker was.
