Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Mood is like a Roller Coaster_1

Qin Sisi wasn’t in a rush, calmly waiting on the side. She believed that her words had indeed touched Gao Liang.

A moment later, Gao Liang suddenly spoke, "Sister Sisi, if I don’t want to give you my soul power, what would you do with me?"

Qin Sisi was taken aback. She didn’t expect Gao Liang to ask such a question.

Indeed, what would she do if he was unwilling?

Threaten him with soul dispersion?

Qin Sisi was indeed willing to use this method for ghosts like Tan Ke, who cheated during their lifetime and harmed others after death. But for Gao Liang, she was somewhat reluctant to use this method.

Gao Liang was not like Tan Ke. He was just a child, optimistic in nature, and held no grudge in his heart. Qin Sisi didn’t want to force him too much.

Qin Sisi turned her head to look at Ye You, who was silent, not knowing whether he had no opinion or was letting her make the decision.

Qin Sisi reached out to pinch Ye You’s neck lightly. Ye You turned his head to look at her but still remained silent.

Feeling aggrieved, Qin Sisi thought, "Since you won’t speak, I will do as I please."

Then a sentence Gao Liang had said earlier popped into her mind.

Gao Liang had claimed that he had managed to escape two mages who had tried to capture him.

Qin Sisi kept her thoughts to herself for a moment, looked at Gao Liang and asked, "Why did those two mages try to capture you?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Gao Liang snorted, "It’s just because of stealing food. Years ago, I roamed everywhere, eating wherever I went. Later, I found a high-end restaurant where I liked the food. I settled there. After a while, people there noticed that the food was disappearing. Thinking there was a thief in their midst, they installed surveillance. When they found food was disappearing with no one in sight, they became panicked. They had a mage come and try to capture me, but luckily, I was quick."

Qin Sisi slightly raised her eyebrows and asked, "What about the second mage?"

Gao Liang sighed and said, "It was the same."

Qin Sisi blinked and said, "So, you simply moved to another restaurant?"

Gao Liang nodded, "Yes, that place was smaller. I thought their management might not be as meticulous. But not long after I arrived and before the people in the restaurant became aware of me, you found me."

Ignoring Gao Liang’s complain, Qin Sisi felt a sense of relief and asked, "So, you were just stealing food, not hurting anyone?"

Gao Liang looked at Qin Sisi curiously, "Why would I harm anyone?"

Before Qin Sisi could reply, Gao Liang seemed to realize something, immediately turning red and shout at Qin Sisi, "Sister Sisi, how could you suspect me like that? Although I am just a hungry ghost, I am still a man of honor!"

"Uh..." Taken aback by Gao Liang’s emotional outcry, Qin Sisi was left speechless for a moment, inwardly complaining: wasn’t he a bit too moody for an adolescent?

Gao Liang turned his head vindictively to one side, seemingly not wanting to speak with Qin Sisi anymore.

After a moment, Qin Sisi composed herself, then turned to Gao Liang and said in a loud voice, "First, I was not suspecting you, I merely sought the truth; secondly, since you have not harmed anyone, I can answer your question now, your existence indeed brings some minor inconveniences to the world of the living. I advise you to give your soul power to me, so you may fulfill a wish. If you truly don’t wish to, then I will assist you in your journey to the underworld for your reincarnation."

Gao Liang turned around and looked at Qin Sisi’s clear and bright eyes, his expression torn.

Qin Sisi looked at him with a smile and said softly, "I will wait for your answer. Let me know when you make up your mind."

Once she finished, she stopped looking at Gao Liang and started aimlessly wandering around the cramped kitchen. She seemed relaxed, but her heart was actually racing. If Gao Liang stubbornly refused to give up his soul power, she would have no choice but to send him to the underworld for reincarnation. Letting this found ghost go was such a waste.

Moreover, Ye You hadn’t uttered a word. She didn’t know what he was thinking. She wasn’t sure if he could accept her decision.

Suddenly, Gao Liang said in a clear and lively voice, "Sister Sisi, I’ve made up my mind. I’ve decided to reincarnate."

Qin Sisi was stunned for a moment, then sighed regretfully, "Alright, come with me. I’ll find a way to take you to the underworld."

She glanced at Ye You, who still didn’t say a word. But as soon as he heard her words, he raised his claw and gave a light swipe.

Seeing Gao Liang’s ghost disappearing before her eyes, Qin Sisi knew that Ye You had put him into his portable space.

Qin Sisi felt disappointed in this result. Ye You spoke up with a mysterious look, "Let’s go back first."

With that, he reactivated the invisible bubble.

"Hmm." Qin Sisi responded listlessly. She followed the same path out of the restaurant, locking the door behind her with a heavy lock. Then she summoned the Wings of Rainbow, flew into the starry night sky with Ye You.

Once they got back home, Ye You released Gao Liang’s ghost from his portable space.

Gao Liang looked around curiously, "Sister Sisi, is this where you live?"

Qin Sisi replied, "Yes, have a seat on the sofa. I’ll find a Ghost Immortal to take you to the underworld."

Ye You had mentioned before that Ghost Immortals were ranked higher than Messengers of Death and were capable of doing what they did.

So, Qin Sisi planned to burn some yellow paper to summon Lan Di to help her and guide Gao Liang to the underworld for reincarnation.

"Wait." Gao Liang halted Qin Sisi with a cunning smile on his face.

Qin Sisi turned to him, puzzled, "Anything else?"

Gao Liang reeled in his smile and said with emphasis, "Sister Sisi, I am willing to give you my soul power."

Qin Sisi was shocked and delighted, yet somewhat incredulous, "Is this true?"

Gao Liang nodded, "Yes, it is."

Confused, Qin Sisi asked, "But you just..."

Gao Liang’s bright eyes gleamed with cunning, and he loudly declared, "I just wanted to test you to see if you would really let me go, to see if you are a person of your word."

Finding herself at a loss for words, Qin Sisi patted Gao Liang’s messy hair, "You little rascal!"

Her emotions had gone from a high point to a low one, and suddenly back up again. It felt like being on a roller coaster.

Qin Sisi wanted to laugh and cry at the same time, but before the not-so-young yet not-so-old teenager, she tried to control her emotions, holding Ye You tightly.
