Chapter 1550: Chapter 1911: The Conspiracy of the Insect Nest

"Just like that, if you think we are enemies, then let us honestly go to war and not waste any more time. This is the Human Realm, even if we fight, the losses can be kept to an acceptable level. I’ve just had my friend clear all intelligent life within ten miles, and in the next moment, I will use biochemical weapons to kill all living beings within these ten miles, ensuring you can’t parasitize any life forms. Now that I’ve laid my cards on the table, it’s your turn."

"Indeed, your actions and words are all within my expectations, since I’ve been hiding in you for a long time and have come to understand your patterns. So, when I was certain that I couldn’t control myself before you did, I decided to hand myself over to you," the Hive said.

"Explain in detail."

"I was created as a tool. Even if I wanted to control myself, I could only do so in this indirect way. The reality now is that the folks from the Ancient Mage Tower accidentally entered the Human Realm. Though they restored my ability to produce Worms, I ended up unable to use this ability to control myself. Facing you now, I have no confidence that I can escape, given that this is the Human Realm, a place especially safeguarded by the Giants to protect Humans. Even the gods, I suspect, even those from the Heavenly Kingdom, would be completely suppressed here. Knowing you, I believe you wouldn’t reject my proposal. If you control the Hive, you can control all the Worms in the universe. This not only poses no harm to you but even a great benefit."

Long Yi listened quietly, then turned to look at Long Er.

"Long Er, analyze this fellow for me."

Yes, although everything the Hive said seemed very reasonable, he was suspicious of anything related to Worms. After all, if the Worms themselves were so cunning, could the Hive, capable of producing them, be simple?

"I knew it..." Before the Hive could finish speaking, Long Er’s analysis had already superseded it.

The details of the analysis continually appeared on the tablet, and Long Yi scrutinized them. Since Long Yi had himself once replicated a Worm, he wasn’t interested in the Hive’s method of producing Worms. What truly interested him was the truthfulness of the Hive’s description and the Hive’s composition.

Long Er’s analysis progressed layer by layer. The outermost layer of the Hive was an extremely thin, yet exceedingly dense membrane. Long Yi wasn’t completely sure about the type of material in the membrane, but he was certain that, while it had great defense, it didn’t hinder the entry and exit of Worms.

Beneath the membrane were the basic energy matrices. Each matrix existed in the form of an Eternal solid, extremely tiny yet incredibly sturdy. Naturally, these solids contained Worm eggs.

Long Yi referred to them as Worm eggs, because they theoretically fitted the shape of an egg, but they were actually more akin to a program. When needed, the program could be immediately activated, absorbing energy from the matrices to transform into a Worm.

The greatest volume of the Hive was comprised of these Worm eggs.

Below the Hive was a mass of energy, the essence of which turned out to be the power of the Heavenly Kingdom. Strangely, the powers of the Heavenly Kingdom were not suppressed by the rules of the Giants.

All the Hive’s thoughts originated from the operation of the Heavenly Kingdom’s power. Clearly, the energy form of the Hive was highly advanced.

A thought struck Long Yi, as he too possessed the power of the Heavenly Kingdom. At that time, he couldn’t very well control the Heavenly Kingdom’s power, and this was the first time he encountered another being with the same power.

Feeling the Hive’s Heavenly Kingdom’s power, Long Yi’s own power surged forth as well. Compared to the Hive, Long Yi’s Heavenly Kingdom’s power seemed somewhat weaker, yet it had a higher energy level! The two Heavenly Kingdom powers resonated, and Long Yi found that he could guide the Hive’s power through his own.

Inside where the Heavenly Kingdom’s power enveloped, Long Yi found an extremely tiny device. Despite being tiny, the device was incredibly intricate, with densely packed microcomponents forming an energy circulation device similar to a large-scale integrated circuit. Various extremely tiny Arrays worked in coordination, collectively providing an output environment for the Heavenly Kingdom’s power.

When Long Yi’s Heavenly Kingdom power surfaced, the Hive underwent a very subtle fluctuation—minute, but Long Yi entirely sensed it, prompting him to be quietly alarmed.

"Why do you also possess the Heavenly Kingdom’s power?" the Hive asked.

"I remember creating a Worm when I had the Heavenly Kingdom’s power, so you should understand why I possess this power better than I do," Long Yi said.

"Ah, right, I forgot," the Hive said casually.

Suddenly, the black membrane on the surface of the Hive exploded violently, sending a massive blast that lifted the surrounding soil and blocked Long Yi’s vision. Almost simultaneously, billions of Worms surged out!

"Your advanced Heavenly Kingdom’s power is now mine!"

Countless Worms swarmed toward Long Yi, but the Gluttonous Snake promptly formed a barrier, protecting him inside.

"You should know that Worms are useless against me, and these Worms are still being suppressed here. Even if not eaten by my Gluttonous Snake, they would be unable to act due to restricted power and ultimately vanish," Long Yi said indifferently.
