Chapter 155: Chapter 33 Section 1 The Secret of Black Dragon Tyl_2

Yavenny gave an enigmatic smile and backed off. She embraced Long Yi’s arm and nestled affectionately on his shoulder.

"Ah, I have to leave soon. Little brother Long Yi, I cannot help you anymore. You must be very careful. If you encounter an enemy that you cannot defeat, don’t force yourself, conceding doesn’t bring shame, getting killed due to arrogance is the shameful thing." Yavenny reminded.

"Don’t worry, I’m a warrior, not a martyr. I understand the principle that preserving oneself is the first step to destroying the enemy." Long Yi smiled and expressed his gratitude for Yavenny’s concern.

"That’s good, I was worried that you’d be reckless and face everything head-on." Yavenny raised her finger and lightly tapped Long Yi’s forehead with her enormous chest pressing against his arm.

However, at the moment she touched his forehead, the dragon language imprint in Long Yi’s mind disappeared. Long Yi felt momentarily dazed, but quickly recovered.

"I just erased all the imprinted runes from your mind, and also gave you a mental protection to prevent any evildoers from invading your mind. Unfortunately, the downside is that you can’t use the dragon language that was previously imprinted. However, learning is a step-by-step process and it’s always the best approach." Yavenny told Long Yi, winking at him.

Long Yi kind of felt it. Indeed, the inexplicable mastery he had over the dragon language was gone. But, he couldn’t explain why, but his mind felt strangely lighter.

"Well, well. One last glance at you before I leave and I’ll be content. So, I must go now!" With that, Yavenny began to fade away.

"Wait, tell me, why am I so important to you?" This was Long Yi’s biggest question. If what Tyl said is true, Yavenny and her sister Yamir are almost considered pinnacle powers. Why would they be interested in me?

An amused look flashed in Yavenny’s eyes, and then she whispered something only Long Yi could hear.

"Aren’t you curious as to why you are the only giant in this world?"

Watching Yavenny gradually disappear, Long Yi was stunned.

"Only, only me?"

This is a world of multiple races, but besides himself, he had never seen another giant. Long Yi always thought this was because his inherited memories had not been unlocked. Once they were, he would know where to find other giants.

However, thinking about it now, he could see elves, dwarves, beastmen, and even encountered mermaids in the sea, and a few strangely named races on the streets.

But, there were no other giants.

Long Yi is a giant, but he looks like a human.

Am I the only one?

Where did I come from? Where are my giant parents? Are they not in this world? Could they be in an upper plane? Did I fall from an upper plane?

Yavenny’s question brought out a slew of questions from Long Yi. But neither the answers nor the means to find them were within his grasp.

"Did she answer you?" Tyl couldn’t hear Yavenny’s last words and could only ask Long Yi.

"No, but she definitely knows." Long Yi answered. He chose to keep some things from Tyl since he was unsure of his intentions. Between Tyl and Yavenny, Long Yi trusted Yavenny more because Yavenny was powerful enough to not need anything from him.

Tyl doubted Long Yi’s answer, but didn’t press further. Instead, he quietly looked ahead. After a long while, he finally sighed and said, "Long Yi, I know you have many questions. Actually, these questions also puzzle me. Don’t worry, your concerns and mine are different but they fundamentally stem from the same answer. Pursuing this answer is also my quest. Rest assured, I swear on my soul to the Creator God, from the past, present, and future, I will never do anything that could harm you."

Tyl made this oath in the dragon language. To swear with one’s soul to the Creator God was a top-tiered oath magic. Once spoken, the words turned into golden runes and dispersed between Tyl and Long Yi.

Long Yi could feel the power of this oath. Since Tyl dared to extend his oath through nearly all of time, Tyl really had no intention of doing anything harmful to him. Otherwise, he would immediately cease to exist at the moment of the oath’s formation.

"Uncle Tyl, I never distrusted you." Long Yi shook his head, it seemed a bit hypocritical to say this now, but seeing Tyl use top-tiered oath magic, what else could he say?

"I know you’re doubtful, and I’d like to tell you what I’m searching for. However, once you know it, it will definitely lead you into endless trouble." Tyl told him.

"Do you think by not telling me, it’ll lessen my problems?" Long Yi asked, smiling.

Tyl paused, then sighed again, looking around before whispering, "I suspect that the dragon clan and humans are natural enemies."

Long Yi was stunned. He believed that the Dragon Clan, being creatures who are inherently proud, might not like humans. But claiming that they and humans were natural enemies was unbelievable, wasn’t it?
