Long Yi’s voice came through, abruptly waking the Emperor, who then realized that in front of him, the box had not been opened at all; he was merely standing in front of the box, hands on his hips, laughing joyfully.
"What is this! It’s a mental attack!" the Emperor immediately realized, having just fallen for a mental magic trick!
"Yes, we’re of the same kind, what do you think you can do that I wouldn’t understand? Did you think that headband we gave you had only a few simple features?" Long Yi said.
The Emperor sighed heavily, his plans had been very secretive; he even had been extremely submissive before to avoid stirring suspicions. But, it was that headband that spoiled everything!
The Emperor stood despondently to one side, implying that Long Yi should take out the tetrahedron himself. However, Long Yi did not budge but said instead to the Emperor,
"Come, I’ll give you another chance—try again." Long Yi motioned for the Emperor to continue taking out the tetrahedron.
The box had a safety layer should anyone but him personally try to open it; it would trigger immediately, but Long Yi wasn’t fooled!
The Emperor, having no choice, opened the box himself and held the tetrahedron in his hands.
However, what’s the difference now? As soon as I open this tetrahedron, you two are done for!
The Emperor tried to open the tetrahedron, but he saw Long Yi rapidly reaching out his hand; he desperately tried to quicken his pace, but Long Yi’s speed seemed to get faster and faster!
