Chapter 1293: Chapter 1041: Finally Converge

The three of them boarded the Great Explorer, and after updating the star chart of the mid-level plane, Fang Zuo pointed out the direction of the Azure Sky Empire to Long Yi, and the Great Explorer immediately tore through space and disappeared.

When the Great Explorer appeared next to a planet, Fang Zuo looked down in confusion.

"Is this, is this the Empire’s star? Where is the dazzling gold? Why is the sea red?"

Long Yi scratched his head, seeing that great changes had indeed occurred here.

"Attention incoming spacecraft, you are entering a level one military zone, you have ten seconds to identify yourself," a cold metallic voice transmitted. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"I am Long Yi, I’m here to find Ruosha and Isrile. Accompanying me is Fang Zuo, the Crown Prince of the Azure Sky Empire," Long Yi immediately said.

"Unregistered information, submitting for manual verification," the cold voice sounded again.

Moments later, the Great Explorer’s screen was filled with two large faces.

"Darling! Is that you?"

Despite some distortion, Long Yi could tell it was Ruosha.

"Get out of the way, you flat-chested thing!" The person behind her was clearly Isrile, who pulled Ruosha away and moved her face closer to the screen.

"Oh my god! It really is you! We were wondering if we should put out a missing person notice on the plane!" Isrile laughed heartily.

"Yes! I’ve finally come! And with a belly full of questions," Long Yi said.

"Is that person, Fang Zuo? Damn it! Fang Zuo, you’re actually alive! How did you end up looking like this?" Ruosha leaned in again.

"Um..." Fang Zuo was even more bewildered; he had no idea what Ruosha meant.

So, Fang Zuo didn’t used to look like this?

Having never met Fang Zuo, Long Yi naturally didn’t know that the original Fang Zuo was also a handsome young man, but from the looks of it, the story seemed quite complicated.

"Have Ai Lin and the others arrived?" Long Yi asked.

"Ai Lin and Silverlight just went out on patrol, and we haven’t met that girl called Xiaodie; we don’t know where she went. Little Zi has also not appeared. As for the Divine Envoy girl, she did show up for a moment, but then she left in a hurry, saying she had discovered something extremely dangerous that she must personally investigate, and that you shouldn’t worry," Ruosha said.

"Phew... With Xiaodie’s capabilities, she probably isn’t in any danger. As for Little Zi, she should be the strongest among us now, so there likely isn’t an issue there. That Divine Envoy girl... Forget it, she’s always been so mysterious; I can’t figure out what she really wants to do. Anyway, we can talk when we meet," Long Yi said.

Finally, the Great Explorer entered the atmosphere, and when it pierced through the clouds, Long Yi saw ruins below and the earth was scarred with the aftermath of battles.

Fang Zuo looked down at the marks below with a bewildered face: "No, how did the Imperial City turn into this?"

Long Yi didn’t know what to say at that moment and could only silently watch as the Great Explorer slowly landed on the half-destroyed spaceport.

As soon as he jumped down from the ship, Ruosha had already pounced over. Long Yi smoothly caught her and spun around in the air, but then everything went black before his eyes, and suddenly Long Yi felt he couldn’t breathe.

"You idiot! Let go of me!" Ruosha immediately made use of Kela Particles to push away Isrile, who was tightly clutching Long Yi’s head.

"Don’t be like that; you’re short, so you can hug the waist. I’m tall, of course, I need to hug the head!" Isrile said with a snicker.

"You jerk, are you asking for a punch?" Ruosha raised her small fist.

"Do you think I’d be scared of you?" Isrile chuckled coldly.

"After such a long time, you two are still getting along as well as ever," Suolin said as she jumped down from the ship.

"Oh? Isn’t this the Time Traveler? Where have you been playing hero this time?" Isrile said with a laugh, and then stood straight with her chest out.

"The things I’ve done can’t be told to you, and of course, even if I did tell you, with your intelligence, you wouldn’t understand anyway," Suolin replied.

"Oh, I didn’t expect you two to have such a good relationship," Ruosha said with a mischievous chuckle on the side.

Then Fang Zuo also disembarked the ship. He seemed very unaccustomed to the sunlight, squinting hard to see. Ruosha walked over and looked at Fang Zuo.

"Are you really Fang Zuo?" Ruosha asked.

"Yes, Big Sister Ruosha, it’s me," Fang Zuo said weakly.

"Those bastards, what did they do to you!" Ruosha said fiercely.

Everyone arrived at the Imperial Palace. The Azure Sky Emperor had already received the news of Fang Zuo’s appearance, but when the Azure Sky Emperor saw Fang Zuo, his legs buckled, and he blacked out. Yet, he stood up forcibly, ran a few steps to Fang Zuo, and hugged him tightly.

"My son, what suffering you’ve endured this past year!"

Even now Fang Zuo still didn’t quite understand what was going on, he followed the servant out, returning to his own room. Moments later, a heart-wrenching scream filled the air. Clearly, he had seen what he looked like now.

"So you never let him see his own reflection?" Ruosha asked.

"I thought he was born looking like that," Long Yi said, somewhat embarrassed.

"Well, in this plane of existence, there really are people who look like that," Ruosha said helplessly.

"So what exactly is going on here? I remember you saying everything was peaceful and joyous when we last spoke," Long Yi looked at Isrile and Ruosha.

"Yes, that was true at the time, but that was a year ago," Isrile said.

"A year ago..." Long Yi’s heart settled slightly, relieved they hadn’t strayed too far off course.

As it turned out, a year ago, just after Ruosha and Isrile had completed the planned reverse summoning spell for Long Yi’s group, a strange event took place. A planet previously believed devoid of life suddenly exploded, and countless black tetrahedra flew out from its interior. At first, Isrile and Ruosha thought they were dealing with Star Devourers, but they soon realized these creatures were entirely different. These tetrahedra would fly automatically towards different planets, then kidnap people, imprisoning them inside the tetrahedra before disappearing without a trace. Isrile and Ruosha were just about to investigate when those monsters appeared.

Initially, the monsters were not so massive; they were just ordinary puppets that relied on energy for activity. But as battles continued, these puppets began to grow increasingly powerful. Ruosha witnessed them using special energy to analyze the structural characteristics of their enemies, and the next time they appeared, they had evolved to target those specific traits. A month ago, Ai Lin and Azure Sky descended onto the battlefield, with Azure Sky transforming into a dragon form, driving back the monsters. Although Ruosha arrived immediately, she couldn’t stop Azure Sky. Consequently, the result was what lay before them now: monsters that had acquired certain Dragon Clan traits.

"So I guess these monsters better not encounter Little Zi or Xiaodie?" Long Yi quipped.

"Are they stronger?" Isrile asked, always sensitive about the strength of others.

"It’s not as simple as being stronger; it’s that their abilities, if acquired by those monsters, would likely cause a lot of trouble," Long Yi said.

As they spoke, the front door was pushed open, and Ai Lin and Azure Sky both ran in. They each dove into Long Yi’s embrace, one on each side, their movements in perfect sync.

"Are you all right?" Long Yi quickly asked.

"We’re fine, but are you all right?" Ai Lin asked.

"Of course I’m fine, I’m so strong, hahaha," Long Yi said with a laugh.

"You didn’t fight those monsters, did you?" Azure Sky asked cautiously.

"I did fight; that beast was taken down with the help of Suolin and me," Long Yi said.

"Whew, that’s a relief, that’s a relief," Azure Sky sighed, revealing her anxiety at inadvertently having made the monsters stronger.

"So, what’s our objective now?" Long Yi asked Isrile and Ruosha.

"Now that you’re here, our objective naturally aligns with yours," Isrile stated.

"This tetrahedron business definitely relates to us somehow, so I think we should resolve the situation here first," Long Yi suggested.

The girls around them naturally had no objections. In fact, if they were asked to leave now, they wouldn’t have easily agreed to such a thing.

At this time, the Emperor of Azure Sky was staring at the group in front of him in shock.

Isrile and Ruosha were the ones he knew best – the powerful Empress of the Giant Beasts and the formidable Group Leader of the Nightmare Knights – these two girls almost had control over the entire plane. He had had minimal contact with Ai Lin and Azure Sky, but over the short span of a month, they had repelled numerous assaults by those monsters, displaying astonishing strength.

Yet now, it was clear that this man was the source of it all! What sort of man could attract such a group of powerful women?

"So, Your Imperial Majesty, would you mind if I went to check on your son?" Long Yi approached and asked.

The Emperor instinctively glanced at Ruosha, who was continuously watching Long Yi.

"Of, of course not!" The Emperor vigorously nodded his head.

At this time, Fang Zuo was hiding in his room, huddled in a corner. He had just seen his reflection in the mirror, a vision more horrifying than the worst nightmare imaginable. He couldn’t believe he had turned into this ghastly figure. He even thought becoming some kind of monster would be a thousand times more appealing than this.

Having lost his strength and now his appearance too, a sense of life’s hopelessness kept welling up within him.

And right then, there was a heavy knock on the door.

"Little brother Fang Zuo! Open the door!" It was Ruosha’s voice.

"Please, leave me alone, big sister Ruosha! Let me die!" Fang Zuo shouted.

"He’s trying to commit suicide!" The Emperor’s startled scream rang out.
