On this journey, Long Yi had been quite at ease, with Ai Lin practically hogging most of the fights. Unless the enemies were too numerous or had particularly tricky skills, Ai Lin typically would not bother asking for Long Yi’s aid.
However, today marked the end of those leisurely days for Long Yi.
According to the map, they were about three days away from Silver Dragon Lake, and the number of magical beasts in the nearby area was diminishing gradually. Signs of battles were quite noticeable around, indicating that Silver Dragon Lake was a popular destination. Long Yi wasn’t much bothered about it, after all, Silver Dragon Lake was just the first stop. He planned to delve deeper into the mountains to find more magical beasts. Hence, he had no problem letting others snatch away these minor profits.
Then, the path before Long Yi was blocked by a woman.
The woman, her hair unkempt, was filthy all over. Her ragged clothing, and the bits of armor barely covering her sensitive parts. She was slightly hunched over, lying low on the ground like a beast, her mouth opened wide, letting out bizarre huffing sounds. But, that wasn’t the highlight.
The highlight was the numerous Crystal Cores, large and small, all embedded into her skin, at least a dozen in total.
The largest was about the size of Long Yi’s fist, three of them lodged into the woman’s legs. The smallest was walnut-sized, spread all over her body.
These Crystal Cores conveyed only one concept to Long Yi.

The creature Long Yi and his team first encountered possessed two Crystal Cores-- of either the eighth or ninth rank, which were enough to give him a headache. Had Long Yi not delivered a fatal blow from the inside, the outcome might have been uncertain, considering the stupid Composite Beast.
But before him now, if it was also a Composite Beast who’d condensed herself like this, it was quite likely beyond the control of a fool.
"Ai Lin, I don’t recall Wesley ever saying that humans could transform into magical beasts," Long Yi quietly asked Ai Lin by his side.
"I don’t remember either." Ai Lin, who prided herself on her superb memory, was also completely in the dark about this.
Long Yi couldn’t help but find it strange. Could this woman in front of him be a magical beast assuming a human form? At least assume the form of a cute young girl! Who would buy into this deceit with your filthy appearance?

Long Yi’s expression became even stranger. Odd vocal tones and rhythmic howls; was this woman singing death metal?
The very next moment, the woman suddenly charged over!
"I’m coming!" Ai Lin shouted and was about to rush up when she got rammed aside by Long Yi. She heard a crash, and when she turned around, she saw Long Yi and the woman collide with each other, hands locked and surprisingly, the woman hadn’t been pushed back an inch!
She knew the extent of Long Yi’s brute strength. When she was little, she had always envied her second brother Ais for his innate divine strength, but when she met Long Yi, she came to realise that a person’s power could be so outrageously strong.
And now, this strange woman, more like a magical beast, had collided with Long Yi and didn’t show any signs of backing off!
This was certainly not human strength!
Such formidable brute strength!
For the first time, Long Yi, who had always been confident in his brute strength, realised that he might not win in a fair arm-wrestling contest.
Long Yi and the woman continued pushing against each other, digging a trench with their feet, but neither of them moved an inch!
Seeing the stalemate, the woman suddenly shrieked and a Crystal Core on her body started to glow. Long Yi immediately felt a power similar to Fighting Aura joining in.
Without showing any signs of weakness, Long Yi suppressed it with a stronger Fighting Aura.
The woman’s screams grew louder as the Crystal Cores on her body started to glow one by one, from the smallest to the largest. The pressure imposed on Long Yi began to increase but Long Yi fought back by continuously elevating his Fighting Aura.
Finally, Long Yi’s Fighting Aura had surged to the nineteenth level, yet the energy of his opponent continued to rise!
Now was definitely not the time to back down!
Long Yi saw the fervent intent to battle in the murky gaze of his opponent. This person was certainly no ordinary monster! Even though it was unclear how she became a monster, her combat skills had not diminished in the slightest!

Who would I be afraid of!
"Bajie, resist it!" yelled Long Yi. Bajie roared, already prepared.
Without hesitation, Long Yi directly elevated his Fighting Aura to the twentieth level. His strength made an immediate quantum leap, giving Long Yi the upper hand.

The woman actually let out a beast-like roar, retreating abruptly. Just as Long Yi seized the opportunity to counterattack, he saw the largest crystal core on her body starting to glow. She clasped her hands together and a crystal greatsword suddenly appeared, slashing down from the sky!
Bajie suppressed his evolutionary urge and threw out the massive Dragon-slaying Sword in the middle of the space. Little Zi, desperate to assist Long Yi, was shot by a beam of light emerging from the woman’s crystal core, piercing right through the corner of her skirt. Lowering her head, Little Zi noticed a piece of her skirt was truly missing!

"Little Zi, aid Bajie in suppressing his urge to evolve!" Long Yi yelled. How to suppress Bajie’s evolution was extremely vital to him.
Although Little Zi really wanted to help Long Yi, she realized that rushing over could make her a burden to Long Yi without necessarily being of any help. Currently, Long Yi’s major concern was Bajie’s forced evolution.
Without much of a word, the little maid knew what she had to do. She decisively turned around, positioned herself over Bajie’s head, placed both hands on top of it, and channeled a stream of cold Mana. Bajie’s evolution urges immediately subsided.
Meanwhile, Long Yi caught the Dragon-slaying Sword, channeling all his might into an upward strike. Upon the resounding crash, Long Yi’s foot got hammered into the ground, right up to his calves!
"Good!"
Since he had already released his power, Long Yi had no intentions of hiding any longer! All forty levels of Fighting Aura exploded out, fully unleashing the might of the two Dragon Marks. Taking advantage of the momentum, Long Yi spinningly rose, breaking free from the ground, and counterattacked.
At the same time, all the crystal cores on that strange woman’s body started to light up, her crystal greatsword radiating a splendid glow!

The woman’s entire body had been torn apart by the Dragon Tooth Strangulation, some parts even revealing bones. Yet, she still hadn’t fallen!
Not only that, but she was also regenerating at a terrifying speed!
