Chapter 527: Chapter 526: Tenth Cycle

Seeing this, Void raised an eyebrow.

At this moment, he had already healed from the bruises caused by the chains wrapped around him.

His interest was piqued.

First, what was this wine made of? It could actually enhance Void’s understanding of the Rules just by seeing it.

But more importantly...

What "game" was Fu talking about?

"You have my attention," Void said, narrowing his eyes as Fu pointed toward the drink.

"Let’s have a taste first," Fu said.

Void frowned, but he still picked up the cup and took a sip.

First came a refreshing coolness that spread through every cell of his body, causing them to rejoice.

Then came the heat.

Spicy, one might even call it.

Yet that spiciness seemed to open Void’s mind as countless new theories formed, further deepening his understanding of the Rules.

To top it all off, the wine contained an incredibly dense amount of energy.

Void’s clone felt himself approaching the Middle Rank 4 Realm.

In fact...

Void could confidently say he was only a hair’s breadth away.

Void looked back at Fu.

That calm smile had never once left Fu’s face.

Placing the cup down, Void spoke.

"Thank you."

Hearing this, Fu chuckled lightly.

"You know, Rank 4 beings are rare."

"And here, things capable of benefiting us are even rarer."

Fu began as Void furrowed his brows and listened carefully.

"Reaching this stage could not have been easy for you."

"While we cannot truly kill you..."

"Sealing you away forever is not a problem."

Fu paused, allowing those words to sink into Void’s mind.

"So, Osiris..."

"How about we play a game?"

"You see, the Realm has become far too comfortable."

"The potential of its people remains untapped."

"I want you to help change that."

Ancestor Fu finally revealed his purpose.

Void looked at the old man, whose expression had become completely calm.

His mind raced as countless possibilities flashed through his thoughts.

Yet all of this happened in less than a moment.

"I don’t see how I, a demon, can help you with that," Void replied at last.

"Ah..."

"That part is quite simple."

Ancestor Fu smiled.

"Osiris, I want you to create a race."

"Preferably a lesser version of the demon race."

"Then allow them to spread throughout the Realm."

"Let them invade."

"Let them create as much chaos as they possibly can."

"Hmm..."

"And what do I gain from this?" Void asked.

After all, he had no intention of accepting a losing deal.

"Freedom."

"For every Cycle, you will be allowed to walk this Realm as a mortal."

"And this entire dimension..."

"It will become your domain."

"If your performance proves outstanding..."

"Then, at the climax of everything..."

"You will break free and attack this Realm."

"We, of course, will subdue you."

"Naturally..."

"All of this will simply be an act."

"Do you understand?"

Ancestor Fu placed his cup down and looked directly into Void’s eyes.

It was no different from telling Void that the ball was now in his court.

Void rubbed his chin thoughtfully before speaking.

"Not a bad deal."

"I can play along for a while."

Ancestor Fu smiled.

It was the obvious choice.

If Void refused, he would remain sealed forever.

But by accepting, he gained leverage.

Not to mention...

Every Cycle, he would be allowed to leave as a mortal and freely explore the Realm.

"Good."

"You may begin whenever you’re ready."

"The Realm awaits your arrival..."

"...Demon Ancestor."

Fu hinted with a faint smile.

Void burst into laughter.

"Indeed..."

"Indeed."

Fu stood up.

Space wrapped around him before tearing apart, opening a portal.

He took one final glance at Void before stepping through it.

Once he had gone, Void lightly tapped his fingers against the table.

Even the material of the table was unlike anything he had ever encountered.

It only proved that this world was far larger than he had imagined.

Just then...

"Void."

A familiar voice echoed inside his mind.

Void frowned instantly.

"Ire..."

His voice was filled with obvious anger.

Hearing this, Ire fell silent for a brief moment.

"I apologize."

"But it was necessary."

"Necessary?" .., Void spoke.

"How?"

"No..."

"I want you to enlighten me."

"How exactly was it necessary?"

"You used me as bait."

Void’s voice became deep and heavy, resembling the growl of a beast.

"Well..."

"Because you acted as the bait..."

"Our plan has officially entered its first phase."

"You and I are now inside the Realm."

"Right..."

"With me being captured, correct?" Void asked coldly.

"No."

"I know you’re angry."

"But I’ll compensate you when the time is right."

"For now..."

"We need to plan our next move."

Void’s expression gradually calmed.

"About that..."

He deliberately paused for a few seconds, leaving Ire waiting.

"We might need to change it."

"A much better opportunity has appeared."

A smile spread across Void’s face as he explained everything Fu had told him.

The more Ire listened...

The brighter her expression became.

By the time Void finished...

Both of them wore wide grins.

"The Tenth Cycle."

"We’ll meet in a mortal kingdom and begin the plan."

Void spoke calmly.

"Sounds like a wonderful plan..."

"...husband."

Ire teased before cutting off their communication.

Void looked toward the jagged rocks above him.

His gaze passed through the mountain...

Through the dimension imprisoning him...

And into the sky itself.

He could see the Threads of Fate intertwining.

This Realm...

Had already diverged from its original path.

"I wonder..."

Void muttered softly.

"How far..."

"...will you all reach?"

**********

At a mortal kingdom...

Within a bustling town filled with a festive atmosphere, children could be seen running around happily while their parents shopped for food and decorations.

It was the end of the year, and the New Year was approaching. As per tradition, one had to celebrate this joyous transition while wishing for a bountiful harvest and a better life ahead.

Recently, the demon race’s attacks had increased, occult groups had begun worshipping them, and a Demon Ancestor had sprung out of the blue, leaving the kingdom under immense stress.

This year, the prayer of the Mortals was for the gods above to answer them, lay waste to the demon tyranny, and keep them safe.

Among them, a man stood out. He was nothing more than a mortal, but his whole persona was different.

He wore a long trench coat, dark in colour, over a plain white shirt and loose black trousers.

He wore casual slippers as he stood on a small bridge overlooking the river that flowed into the vast ocean thousands of meters ahead.

He was like a free soul, but his dressing felt strange to the locals.

But just as he stood there, a beautiful female approached the area, leaving the crowd stunned.

"Who is she?"

"She is so beautiful."

"I can take her as a second wife, right?"

"Idiot, don’t you see how beautiful she is? If she were a local, we would have known her."

"Yes, she looks stunning. Is she of noble birth?"

Gasps and murmurs filled the air as the man felt a steady set of footsteps moving closer and closer to him.

"You’re finally here."

The man turned, his handsome features wowing the crowd.

The two pairs of eyes met, and a spark ignited in the air.
