Chapter 586: The New Farmers
A month had passed since the incident within the Zangrande household left the main farmer of the place in a coma with no signs of waking up. Many thought that the farm would stop its work as the farmer, who had done almost everything at this point, was rendered unable to move.
However, the most surprising thing is that the two children who also got injured at that time have made a full recovery and decided to take the mantle of being the farmers of the farm. They barely have experience at farm work, and although they do help out at times when their mother works, they mostly are not around when she is immersed in work. Many thought that the kids would soon give up once they knew the hard work that their Mother left behind.
But that wasn’t the main case, and the situation ended up in the opposite direction. Farm work became one of their main focus around the farm, and even with the ins and outs of the work is still a bit hard for them, but in the month that they started working, they have slowly gained a bit of experience on how things would go and what they would need to do.
"Phew. That’s a whole field done tilling. Sis, this area is ready for planting now. Have the Feys assist you on this one. The field is quite big!"
"Good work, Arthy. You should rest for a bit, considering you have been tilling the fields since earlier. I will take over from here," Adelaide, who is currently busy selecting the saplings, nodded at Arthur, who walked over and slumped down into the wooden chair.
"Yeah, really needed to do that. Oh man, my back is killing me," Arthur made a grimaced look while touching his lower hip.
"Don’t be so pissy, Arthy. You didn’t have this problem when you are just swinging your sword and now, while swinging the hoe, you are complaining? Isn’t it much the same?" Adelaide jokingly mocked Arthur on his reaction.
"Give me a slack here, Sis. Just because I did it with the sword doesn’t mean it is the same way as doing it with the hoe. Sure, the hoe is doing most of the work, but it costs a lot of my energy per swing with how much area the hoe can till. They are obviously different!" Arthur protested.
Adelaide only chuckles as she carries the saplings she have chosen to the tilled lands. The Feys can only pat Arthur on the back. Bam in particular whispered to him, "You will get used to that pain, Arthur. Your Mother is just built different."
Arthur can only sigh. Now that he have tried his Mother’s work for himself, it is honestly hard and exhausting. And he has been doing this for a month already. It’s a wonder how his Mother actually managed to still work hard like that and make it look easy like she didn’t do much. As much as Arthur wanted to ask Elaina right now, that is impossible.

While Arthur and Adelaide is busy talking with their Mother, the God of Farming intervened.
"[I am sorry to ruin the touching reunion like this but it seems that Elaina will only have limited time to communicate with you twins. If we push her soul without fully restoring it, it might damage what remains in her soul that hasn’t been damaged that day, so I am sorry if I am the bringer of the bad news but you guys will only have limited time to talk with her. Only 10 minutes per day.]" the God of Farming explained.
"[Isn’t that too short, God of Farming? I have a lot of things I needed to teach them about.]" Elaina complained.
"[I know, but in your current state? You will just cause stress on your soul and the small tether that connects your soul and body might snap if you force yourself. Be patient. If your children managed to slowly restore your soul and repair the connection with your body and soul, then the time will increase. But for now, since we still have no way to do it, you and the twins has to endure for a while, having limited time to communicate with one another.]"
"[Then, can you tell them how to do that?]" Elaina is pleading.
"[As much as I wanted to do that, it is not yet complete and right now, I am still studying the right way to restore you fully and what your children needed to do. One thing for sure though is that they needed to take over your work as we will need that ability to get the things that we will need in the future for your recovery. So for now, the only thing we can do is sit and wait while I do the rest.]"

Based on the God of Farming’s findings, Elaina’s soul is damaged by the dagger that Selena used. It was a dagger that damages both body and soul and can even separate both with ease, which will allow anyone who wishes to fully kill someone, both body and soul, to cease to exist. The only reason their mother survived is due to her Almanac, the God of Farming’s quick intervention and her strong will to live. Otherwise, she was destined to die that day, no matter how much she is being healed.
Since the God of Farming is still doing his task of examining their Mother’s condition and determine what they needed, the only thing the twins can do right now is to wait. Without any choice, their only way of hoping that the God of Farming will be done is very slim, but they have not lost hope.
And like that, a month passed by ever since then. Elaina communicates to them every night and the twins will report anything that happened to them and what they did. Elaina also gives them limited advice on what to do, what they can improve in working the farm and many more.
The other kids continued the exploration into the deeper parts of the mines themselves with both Adelaide and Arthur, handing over their leadership roles to Raye and Mier. Arlo also joined the expedition to the deeper floors of the mines as well so it didn’t really feel like things have gone bad. As for why they decided to stop for now is to fully concentrate on their new job as the new farmers of the farm. And since they aren’t as efficient as their Mother, they are still not as great as their Mother in terms of farming.
"Haaaa... when will the God of Farming actually finish his findings? I know I don’t want to rush him, but I am feeling anxious about Mother’s situation too," Arthur sighed.
"[Well, you kids can actually learn on what you two are needed to do to help your Mother and as expected, it needed farming. You guys are up to the task?]" the God of Farming suddenly spoke in their minds.
"Of course, God of Farming! Just tell us what to do!"
After a month long wait, the first step to heal Elaina is finally here.
"Listen well. You twins needed to craft a container, we call the Soul Vessel. Since Elaina’s soul has been damaged, majority of her soul fragments has been scattered after the failure of disintegrating her soul, turning it into shards scattered all over the place, and perhaps, even all over the world if possible. But I won’t think too much of that. The materials to create this are materials that can be earned underneath the Farm Dungeon. The two of you will need to get these ingredients, then plant them, before you harvest them and create the recipe itself. If you twins needed to gather and repair Elaina’s soul again, you lot will need this."
