Chapter 2007: Chapter 482: Mutual Torment, Relentless Until Death (Part 2)

As Yun Ya’s words fell, Gan Wei’er instinctively took a step back, "What exactly are you trying to do?"

Yun Ya smiled, "I’ll give you a chance. These two bottles, pick one."

Life or death, there’s only a fifty percent chance. Gan Wei’er hated the feeling of her life being in someone else’s hands; it was utterly awful.

She bit her lip and wavered between the two bottles, her focus once on the green bottle and then on the white bottle, finally gritting her teeth and grasping the white bottle in her hand.

"Have you chosen?"

Gan Wei’er hesitated for a moment, opened the bottle stopper, and inside was some white powder. She gritted her teeth slightly, tilted her head back, and poured the powder into her mouth.

No taste, it felt a bit astringent, and instantly dissolved upon contact with saliva, turning sticky.

Gan Wei’er threw the bottle to the ground, staring wide-eyed at Yun Ya.

Yun Ya suddenly laughed, "Looks like you’re not too lucky; what you just took is the Seven Spirits Broken Intestine Powder."

Gan Wei’er’s face suddenly turned pale, her hands clutching her throat as she gagged desperately.

She suddenly lunged towards the table, opened the green bottle’s stopper, and poured the entire contents into her mouth.

"It’s useless; the poison has already entered your internal organs." The young girl’s voice echoed like a curse in her ear.

Gan Wei’er paused, her hand suddenly relaxed, and the bottle fell to the ground, rolling to Yun Ya’s feet.

"You... what will it take for you to let me go?" Gan Wei’er roared.

"Shhh." The young girl’s slender finger pressed to her lips, her eyebrows charming as she leaned close to her ear, whispered in a voice only they could hear: "It’s simple, don’t you want to marry Lorde? I’ll fulfill that wish for you."

Gan Wei’er’s eyes widened in disbelief, doubting she heard correctly.

"You didn’t mishear." The young girl rose leisurely, "Prepare well for tonight. Don’t waste that face."

As she spoke, she drifted away.

Gan Wei’er sat on the ground in a daze, wondering what she meant.

Yun Ya left the room to find Butler Ziyu waiting there with a congenial smile. Seeing Yun Ya emerge, he approached quickly: "Princess, it’s so late. Why aren’t you resting?"

"I came to see Sister Weiwei. Do you have any matters, Butler?"

"No issues. Just that tomorrow is the engagement day; Princess should rest well tonight for the energy needed tomorrow."

"What time will Mother arrive?"

"Probably this evening. The specific time is uncertain."

Yun Ya nodded slightly, "I’ll wait for Mother then."

At seven p.m., Hu Lin and Cheryl visited again. The newly made dress was laid out in the living room, more luxurious than before. Cheryl thought this time the Princess wouldn’t find fault, but the other party merely waved her hand lightly, "Put it away."

"Won’t the Princess try it on?" Cheryl asked urgently.

The other party’s calm gaze met hers, the dark eyes fathomless, and Cheryl’s heart jumped, silencing her.

The two maids carried the gown upstairs.

"Tomorrow at eight, a luxury car will arrive to take the Princess to the hotel. Rest well tonight. We’ll take our leave now." Hu Lin said formally.

"Thank you." Yun Ya nodded casually.

Hu Lin’s eyes flickered slightly, pulling the absent-minded Cheryl away from the castle.

As they reached the castle’s entrance, a bright light suddenly gleamed ahead, making them instinctively raise hands to shield their eyes.

In the dark, luxury cars arrived in droves.

The estate gates opened automatically, and the cars drove inside.

One, two, three, four, five... as many as seven vehicles.

The first three cars paved the way, the last three protected the rear, and the vehicle shielded in the middle had a black body that exuded quiet opulence; though the windows were shut tight, for unknown reasons, they made one feel tense.

Hu Lin pulled Cheryl back a step quickly.

The car brushed past them, night wind lifting the hair, cold and silent.

"Who is this, such grandeur." Cheryl was aghast.

Hu Lin narrowed her eyes, turning to leave: "Don’t ask what you’re not supposed to."

Cheryl pursed her lips, glancing back at the castle, majestic and mysterious at night, as the cars disappeared beyond the fountain and faux hill.

The doors shut behind them, two black-clad bodyguards ran over quickly, standing guard at the entrance on either side.

Cheryl was scared by the killing aura the guards emanated, hurriedly catching up to Hu Lin.

The person arriving at the castle at this hour, with such grandeur, could only be that person.
