Chapter 131: DIFFERENT METHOD

"In beast form?" Caiden raised his brows.

"Do you want to train in beast form?" Gayle widened his eyes in disbelief. "Luna, I believe you already know that the alpha is a lycan."

"I know." Zuri smiled sweetly. "I will not stand a chance to fight him in his human form, but I am confidence in my beast form."

Gayle and Caiden exchanged look with one another, they were worried, since the two of them had seen how Zuri was in her beast form. Her beast was rather feral.

However, Khaos didn't have the same concern. He knew what this woman was up to. She had been wanting to see Khaos in his beast form, but she had not yet gotten the chance. Therefore, this was her chance to see it.

"Fine."

Gayle and Caiden were not worried about their alpha, but their main concern was if Zuri lost her control over her beast and let her instinct to take over her senses.

"Okay." Zuri looked excited, she was beaming when she watched Khaos shifted into his beast for the first time.

The way he shifted his form was very smooth and when he stood in all four, his beast was majestic.

There was not much information about the lycan. If there was one thing that the three kingdoms agreed upon, it was to limited any information about the old dynasty.

But, it was well known that the lycan had white fur, as white as the snow and right now, the white beast was standing before her eyes, his fur was spotless white with grey eyes that stared back at her. The beast looked regal. Zuri had never seen anything like this before.

"I know he is beautiful, but control your expression, you are ogling at him, you know."

And that, there was Caiden, who ruined this moment for her. Zuri turned around and glared at the gamma, who was grinning from ear to ear, as if he was so proud of his alpha.

Ignoring Caiden, Zuri came closer to the white beast and stretch her hand to caress the soft fur. She liked it. "You are so soft." She was mesmerized.

Obviously, Khaos's beast was bigger than Zuri and in one look, you would know that Zuri wouldn't stand a chance against Khaos even when she was in her beast form, since Khaos had natural killing instinct too.

Both of them could be lethal in a battle together.

"Why do you have to go?" Nycta looked at Dacre with tears in her eyes. She then glanced at her sister, Rose. She was standing not too far from them, looked calm as ever. "You can ask someone else on your behalf to take care of this matter, you don't need to go. There are hundred of people that you can choose. There is no need for you to go there on your own."

Dacre knew this would be Nycta's reaction once she heard about his departure to River Creek pack.

"Yes, there are many people that can go on my behalf."

"But?" Nycta gritted her teeth to hold back her anger.

"But, there is only one king."

Leonard knew this conversation would be long, thus he gestured for Rose to leave the room, especially when he could see the look on the queen's eyes. She suspected it was Rose's idea to make the king left the palace, which was true.

The royal beta didn't agree with this plan, but Dacre had different opinion. The king might not as skill as the alpha, but he knew how to choose his people, after all, he had been using Khaos's intelligence for his own benefit all this time.

"The queen will be more upset once she learned that I will go with the king too." Rose opened a conversation with Leonard once they were out of the room, leaving Dacre and Nycta to sort out their problem.

Leonard glanced at her. "Your plan is too risky. It's ridiculous. The king doesn't need to be there."

"That's where you are wrong, royal beta Leonard," Rose said with her sweet tone. "You may think so highly about king status, but there will no kingdom or king without people. Why do you think the alpha opened the gates for people and distributed the food supplies?"

Leonard didn't answer that and Rose didn't wait for him to respond to her rhetorical question as she continued her monologue.

"You underestimate the power of people, beta. Have you forgotten that even the strongest shifter, the old dynasty of the lycan empire, crumbled within days when the people gathered together to take it down?"

Leonard looked shock when he heard that and got the meaning behind what Rose's words, while she smiled sweetly at him.

"I might be wrong in this, but I think alpha Khaos is most likely used the same method." Rose flicked her hair. "With the way King Dacre ignored the people's suffering due to the lack of food supply, we can tell that the king underestimated the people's strength and Alpha Khaos used that mishap. Using the people's disappointment to make them turn against their king."

"That's not like alpha Khaos's method." Leonard was impressed by the way Rose dissected the situation, but he had worked with alpha Khaos for long, thus he knew how he used to handle the situation.

Alpha Khaos had never used massive people like this before, he used to work discreetly.

And Leonard was also right about that, because the original idea didn't come from Khaos, but a little black beast, who was nipping on the white beast's heel.

Zuri was upset because she couldn't even land a good attack on Khaos. Her retaliation was also a futile attempt, once the majestic white beast pinned her down on the ground.

"It's not fair!" Zuri shifted back into her human form when the white beast rendered her unable to move.

Khaos shifted back into his human form too and helped her to stand up. He smirked.
