Dacre didn't expect that Rose would be knowledgeable about the problem in the court and her information was very useful.

"Why do you think that way?" Dacre was interested to listen to what Rose said more and Nycta could sense his excitement.

The queen was not really happy with this sudden development, but Rose was her sister and she was helping with the situation.

Nycta simply wished that she was the one, who had the knowledge, so Dacre would see her with adoration in surprise in his eyes.

The rest of the conversation between Rose and Dacre, Nycta tuned out her surroundings. She became uneasy. She didn't like it when Dacre started to notice her sister and interested to what she said.

Probably, this was only her overthinking nature, but Nycta could smell trouble that came from her sister. She needed to send her back to their kingdom or find someone that could be her chosen mate as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, around at the same time, Khaos and his entourage arrived at the a small city in the outskirt of the River Creek pack.

"Why are we here?" Zuri lifted her head from Khaos's chest, as she stared through the window when the carriage stopped.

Someone knocked on the carriage door and informed them that they could come out now.

"Why we are here?" Zuri asked again, she was straddling Khaos. Somehow, this was the position that she was comfortable with.

Until now, Khaos had never touched her inappropriately, though Zuri tried to initiate it countless time. If it was not for him mindlessly caressing her head or giving a hug or two, she would think that he didn't want her, but even so, it was still confusing for Zuri.

Did he find her body was unattractive? Did he find her repulsing? But, she didn't gain weight. She had become skinnier. Her mother always told her to not gain weight because the man preferred skinny woman.

"I need to meet with someone," Khaos said. He then patted her thigh. "We need to go out."

"I don't want to go out," Zuri said in small voice, but she got off from his lap and then came out of the carriage. Her brother had been waiting for them. "Why we are here?" she asked Rhett this time.

"Don't worry, Zuri."

Zuri frowned when she heard that weird answer. "Why should I worry for?"

However, Khaos came from behind her and then put his hand around her hip, which made her relax again.

In front of them, there was a vast clearing area, Zuri imagined velvety green grass on the ground when summer came, but right now, all they could see was white, because snow covered the surface of it.

In the end there was a huge house, looked like a mansion with brick orange color dominated the building and she could see a lot of people walked behind the dark window.

Though the house looked quiet, but Zuri was sure there were a lot of people inside. What Khaos wanted to do here? And why her brother was also involved? Zuri couldn't find the answer, but she didn't doubt them at all.

After all, she was with her two favorite people and they wouldn't let anything happen to her, right? While other people might hurt her, Khaos and Rhett would be the last people, who would do any harm on her, right?

They approached the building and two men opened the gates, they didn't say anything, but upon seeing Khaos, the two of them fell to their knees solemnly.

"Have you been here before?" Zuri asked Khaos lightly.

"No." He was being very curt with his answer.

After that, Zuri didn't ask much, she only followed them into the mansion. She looked around her and started to get uncomfortable, because she could smell so many strangers' scents in the air.

The warriors that came with them waited outside, but Caiden came with them inside, but the gamma was exceptionally quiet this time, Zuri glanced at him every now and then, but he

seemed aloof.

She thought, the two of them had a good relationship and had become friend, but apparently, that was only in her mind...

Once they were inside, Zuri knew she was right, there were so many people there, all of them immediately quietened down with the presence of Khaos and just like what the two guards out there did, they also fell to their knees solemnly.

"Alpha, I can only gather these many worshipers for you in such short time, but this number is nothing. We are bigger than this. You can find us everywhere." Rhett looked at Khaos, waiting for him to praise him, but he only met with disappointment, because the alpha didn't seem impressed at all.

At the very least, there were around five hundred people in this room, but Rhett proudly announced that there were around ten thousand of them across the continent, the three kingdoms, they had the worshipers everywhere.

Zuri listened to this strange conversation, but then it clicked in her mind that Rhett knew Khaos was a lycan. She whipped her head to look at Khaos, but he didn't say anything, his expression was unreadable.

Zuri wanted to ask so many questions, but with a lot of people present here, she didn't think this was the right place to question Khaos.

And when she looked around, she caught the sight of Caiden, the gamma actually glared at Rhett, as if he didn't like anything that came out of his mouth.

"Let's do it quickly," Khaos responded in the end of Rhett's rambling and once again, he looked disappointed, because the lycan was not impressed with everything that this cult had done to make thing easy for him.

But, he cheered up again when he led them to the back garden, where there were a significant amount of people there too, they were wearing golden color cloak, the color for the old

dynasty.

"Zuri, come with me," Rhett said in his brotherly voice.
