Chapter 102: INTRUDERS

It was close to midnight when the first snow fell.

Zuri was sitting on the windowsill, staring at the darkness. Khaos bound her hand with thick bandages, so she couldn't scratch or harm herself and she was not allowed to untie it until he returned.

However, Khaos said, he was going to comeback when dinner time, yet even when it already passed midnight, he had not yet returned.

Her meal was on the table. Zuri could untie the bandages and ate, but Khaos told her to wait for him. Therefore, she was going to wait.

Moreover, she didn't want to eat alone.

'He will not come, you fool.'

'Do you think why he is not here? He lied to you, just like how he lied to the other people and used them.'

"He will be here," Zuri murmured. She started to rock her body back and forth, as she stared at the first snow that fell from the night sky. "It's beautiful..." she talked randomly.

Zuri glued her eyes at the white little thing outside, she refused to look at anywhere, because her father decided to make his appearance. She would prefer Xaden or her mother, but recently, it was her father, who filled her hallucination.

'Stupid child, you never learned anything, did you?'

'You are useless. Crazy and useless.'

"No. I am sick. Khaos said I am sick. I am not crazy."

'If you really not crazy, so why are you talking to dead people?'

Alpha Roland talked to her derisively, he smirked to see how his words bothered Zuri. Despite her effort to not want seeing him, Zuri still could see his reflection on the glass of the window.

She hated herself for hallucinating like this and why would she see his reflection? Was he real?

'You are not the only one, who hates yourself. Everyone does hate you.'

Zuri closed her eyes, she called Khaos's name repeatedly. She wanted him to be here, to calm her down. And without her realizing it, her claws elongated, pierced through the bandages. She was tempted to stab her father, but she knew, in the end, she would only stab herself.

Khaos didn't like it whenever she hurt herself, so she wouldn't do it.

'But, if you hurt other people, he will not mind, right?'

"No!" That's not right to hurt other people. Zuri shook her head. She rocked herself faster, patting her head and her shoulder, but it didn't feel the same. It was not the same like when Khaos did it. "Why he is not here? He promised me. He promised me to be here."

The voices in her head laughed viciously, mocking her, taunting her and calling her all names that you wouldn't want to repeat.

'Obviously, if a man didn't return to their woman passed midnight, they must have buried their dick somewhere else.'

'Oh, dear. You are so naïve. He must have buried his face between a woman's legs right now. Lucky

woman.'

'Why do you think he didn't touch you? He doesn't like you.'

'I told you to lose weight. You are fat. You are like a fat pig. Probably you are a pig shifter.'

Zuri closed her eyes tightly, she pressed her palms against her ears, but she still heard their voices in her head.

In the end, she stood up from the windowsill and shifted into her beast. If Khaos was going to sleep with another woman, she was going to kill that woman.

He was hers! No one could touch him but her! She wouldn't allow that to happen!

And as the obscene images appeared in her head and the voices created lewd noises, the black beast hastened her pace.

She was going out for blood. She would shred those women, who threw themselves to Khaos into pieces. How dare they touched what was hers?!

The warriors were shocked when they saw the black beast, they immediately informed the alpha that Zuri came out of her bedroom, but they couldn't reach him through mindlink, which indicating the alpha was too far away from them.

Without any other choice, they could only follow her, since the alpha said to keep their eyes on her. They were not sure why.

Meanwhile, Zuri in her black beast dashed toward the brothel. This was her pack, of course, she knew every nook and cranny of this place.

To reach the brothel faster, she chose to go through a small alley from the backyard of the pack house, she knew that three beasts were following her, they were Khaos's people. She was not going to hurt them.

However, a strong smell of blood made Zuri halted. Her beast sniffed the air and she was sure that this was blood. She was familiar with this scent.

The three warriors behind her stopped too, they seemed to communicate with each other, but before they could make any decision, Zuri had followed this smell of blood, which led them to a dead end, where two dead bodies of the warriors could be seen, stuffed to the corner.

"What the hell?!" Gayle immediately approached the two dead bodies and confirmed that they were one of them.

Zuri also shifted into her human form and watched the horrendous sight before her. She blinked her eyes and didn't say anything, which Gayle thought she was shocked, thus he blocked her line of sight with his body, as he ordered the other two warriors to evacuate their poor fellow warriors.

"Luna, I think you can't be here." Gayle didn't know where Zuri wanted to go. "Let's go back to the pack house," he said.

Yet, Zuri side step and insisted to see the two dead bodies. She even approached them and stood there, which made Gayle and the other two warriors confused.

"A few people entered the pack," Zuri said in mumbling voice, as if talking to herself. "Someone is here to kill Khaos. They are here to kill him. No. No. No."

"What?!" Gayle and the other warriors were on alert.
