Chapter 1246: Chapter 1246: Daily Life!

Mu Yan looked at the slightly raised corners of his peach blossom eyes and knew she’d been tricked.

She said angrily, "Leave if you want."

Jiang Jingheng came over and kissed her, saying, "I’m not going anywhere, not even if I die. I’ve already given you my heart and soul, where else could I go?"

Mu Yan saw the deep affection in his brows and eyes, her face warmed a little, and she stopped bickering with him.

That night, Jiang Jingheng took Mu Yan out for dinner. This wasn’t in China, so there weren’t that many surveillance cameras, and the two of them walked hand in hand along the roadside.

Every now and then, piano and violin music drifted out from a restaurant, sounding especially pleasant in the quiet night.

There just happened to be a mall by the road. Mu Yan remembered she still hadn’t bought gifts for her friends this trip, so she dragged Jiang Jingheng inside.

Clothes, jewelry, bags—girls never feel like they have too many.

She picked things out in front, and Jiang Jingheng followed behind taking them. Since it was a date at night, he hadn’t brought bodyguards or assistants, so he could only do everything himself.

Even so, he wasn’t the least bit impatient. He stuck close to her the whole time and even offered some of his own opinions.

However... every time he voiced his opinion, he would be rewarded with an eye roll from Mu Yan.

"You’ve just got straight-guy taste. Don’t talk. Just be good, pay, and carry the bags."

Jiang Jingheng’s brows knit slightly. Was his taste really that bad?

He thought that pair of red shoes looked great. The heels weren’t high, and they definitely had to be comfortable.

Mu Yan picked out a pair of crystal stilettos and had the shop assistant wrap them up. Jiang Jingheng immediately went to pay the bill.

The shop assistant took the black card, and seeing the handsome, noble-looking man in front of her show not the slightest displeasure at being disliked by his girlfriend but instead obeying her honestly, she instinctively felt that appearances could be deceiving.

Of course, she didn’t know there’s a saying in China that one thing subdues another.

His eye for shoes and clothes wasn’t that great, but when it came to watches and jewelry, Jiang Jingheng’s taste was still on point.

Sure enough, he spotted a diamond necklace and had Mu Yan try it on.

Mu Yan looked at the huge diamond on it, and her scalp tingled a little. Not long ago, for her birthday, he’d already given her a set of jewelry, which included a diamond necklace.

"I already have plenty of jewelry."

"Girls never think they have too much jewelry."

"But I don’t really have many chances to wear it," Mu Yan said helplessly.

"Why not?"

Mu Yan gave him a strange look. "If I went around every day wearing some giant diamond necklace for no reason, people would either think the diamonds are fake or think I’m showing off my wealth."

"Showing off?" Jiang Jingheng looked at her in surprise. "We really are rich. Do we need to show off? This is just our everyday life."

Mu Yan, "..."

For some reason, her hand kind of itched.

Jiang Jingheng ignored what Mu Yan thought and directly had the shop assistant wrap up the necklace.

He took the box, held Mu Yan’s hand, and moved on to the next store.

Mu Yan glanced at the luxury watch on her wrist and had just opened her mouth to say something when Jiang Jingheng handed her a men’s watch. "Help me put it on."

Mu Yan took the watch and helped him put it on.

"Does it look good?" he asked.

Mu Yan felt like she still hadn’t fully developed the mindset of a rich person. She thought the watch itself was so-so, but the price tag looked very nice.

She looked at the identical style of the watches on both their wrists and asked, "So, these are couple’s watches?"

"Mm," Jiang Jingheng responded, swiping the card to pay.

After buying the watches, Mu Yan looked at the large and small shopping bags in his hands and decided not to buy anything else. If she kept going, she’d go bankrupt.

Jiang Jingheng knew what she was thinking but didn’t call her out on it. At worst, he’d just bring her out shopping a few more times in the future.

The two of them walked out, and at the exit, they ran into someone they knew.
