Chapter 677: Danger
Alright, that’s true. There are more and more things happening at home, Yun Qiu is still young, and Jiang Yuxiu is not the kind of person who can stay at home and take care of the kids all the time. She’s been thinking about going back to work lately.

Madam Chen volunteered to take on the child-care duties, so her granddaughter-in-law could focus on her work without worries.

Staying at home with the kids is really boring. Although Yun Qiu is obedient and well-behaved, she still wants to work.
Every day Xu Minghui comes home very late, with lots of things going on at the company. Seeing her husband come home exhausted every day made her heart ache.
Jiang Yuxiu wholeheartedly went to work, leaving Yun Qiu at home with Madam Chen and Old Xu. Xu Mumu often brought Doudou to visit.
After becoming pregnant, Xu Mumu didn’t have to do anything every day. Everything she needed to do was taken care of by her family, leaving her quite at leisure.
With nothing to do, she would take Doudou around to play, and after playing enough, she would read the books given by Dean Duan as a kind of prenatal education.
Xu Mumu even took the little one to the county and strolled around the company. The company has gotten bigger and naturally, there are more things to manage now.
Seeing that Xu Mumu was pregnant, Du Yu hesitated to bother her with company affairs anymore.
So Xu Mumu handed everything off to Du Yu. After all, he was always the one managing the company, and her role was basically to provide suggestions.
Xu Mumu leisurely walked through the provincial capital with the little one and suddenly sensed danger. She instinctively dodged with Doudou in her arms, and a woman wielding a knife appeared where she had just been standing.
Xu Mumu looked at the knife-wielding woman, whose face was pale and eyes fierce.
After dodging with her child, the woman was momentarily taken aback, completely not expecting Xu Mumu to evade her.
"Yun Luo?" Xu Mumu raised an eyebrow slightly, recognizing that the woman was Yun Luo.
Xu Mumu shielded Doudou, and the little one obediently stood behind her, curiously looking at Yun Luo. He had overheard this name in his parents’ conversations, realizing it was this aunt.
The little one’s face was filled with anger; this aunt was so terrible, trying to stab someone with a knife.
"You die," Yun Luo’s voice was hoarse, as if her throat was damaged. She said this while thrusting the knife at Xu Mumu once more.
Xu Mumu sneered, directly grabbing Yun Luo’s hand with slight force, causing the knife to drop, and Xu Mumu easily caught it.
"With your limited skills, you still want to kill me? This knife looks quite nice, just a bit useless." Xu Mumu chuckled, easily twisting the knife into a ball and then tossing it onto the ground, producing a crisp sound as it hit.
Yun Luo’s pupils contracted, watching Xu Mumu in shock. Such power was definitely not possessed by normal people.
"It’s you, you did this to me. I will kill you, kill you," Yun Luo chanted like someone possessed, continuously repeating the phrase, while her other hand reached towards Xu Mumu’s neck.
Xu Mumu kicked her far away, effectively making Yun Luo faint.
"Mom, are you alright? Is your tummy uncomfortable?" Yun Luo fainted, and the little one immediately became concerned about his mom’s well-being.
"I’m fine, don’t worry. Doudou, the task of calling Dad is yours. Mom needs to rest a moment." Xu Mumu sat on a stone nearby, taking out her phone and assigning the task of reporting the incident to Doudou.
"Don’t worry, Mom, I can do it," the little one said seriously, taking the phone and dialing Dad’s number, having long memorized both his parents’ numbers.
Yin Yang, who was in a meeting, suddenly heard the phone ring. To his surprise, it was his wife’s call.
The meeting room fell silent as everyone’s eyes turned to Yin Yang.
"Meeting paused, discuss the proposal among yourselves for now," Yin Yang calmly instructed.
Walking out of the meeting room, Yin Yang took the call.
As soon as the call connected, his son’s voice came through the phone, "Dad," the little one’s voice sounded a bit aggrieved.
"What happened? What’s wrong?" Yin Yang immediately sensed something was off. His son’s usually cheerful tone was missing, prompting concern.
"Dad, Mom just encountered danger. A bad aunt had a knife and tried to stab Mom, luckily, Mom dodged while holding me..." The little one quickly explained everything he had seen.
Yin Yang’s expression changed on the other end, "Doudou, stay by Mom’s side, Daddy’s coming right over." Yin Yang suppressed his worry while instructing his child.
"Got it, Dad. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely protect Mom," the little one earnestly promised.
After ending the call, Yin Yang briefly informed the people in the meeting room and left the company, simultaneously reporting to the police.
When Yin Yang arrived, the police were there as well. Xu Mumu hadn’t used too much force; Yun Luo had merely fainted. The little one earnestly stayed by his mom’s side, looking so well-behaved that even Xu Mumu felt a pang in her heart.
"Honey, are you alright?" Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu worriedly? After a thorough check, making sure his dear wife was unharmed, he felt somewhat relieved, though his gaze lingered on Xu Mumu’s stomach.
"I’m fine, don’t worry. My tummy is perfectly okay, no discomfort or anything," Xu Mumu said with a smile. If she was really uncomfortable, she wouldn’t be sitting here leisurely munching on cookies.
At the moment, she’s not making any big movements, which wouldn’t affect the baby inside her tummy at all.
"Next time, don’t be so reckless, you know how scared I was?" Yin Yang watched Xu Mumu with concern.
"I know, the situation was urgent then, or I wouldn’t have bothered dealing with her," Xu Mumu playfully leaned against Yin Yang’s shoulder acting spoiled. If time were to rewind, she’d make the same choice again, but for now, she decided to admit her mistake to avoid being nagged by Yin Yang.
"Don’t do anything so dangerous from now on, I’ll be worried," Yin Yang gently held Xu Mumu close, speaking softly, fearing she might get hurt. The thought of any accident happening to her made him feel a little agitated.
